Our new build! – We had owned our block of land for 4yrs. One call to Strouds Ballarat and we were in meeting with them that very next day.

We took in plans that we loved and had drawn up ourselves. We ended up redesigning a Stroud plan to make it what we wanted. We were so impressed with the quick turn around at that planning stage, we found it exciting, fun and easy. Nothing was too much trouble and Simon knew the block well and had some great suggestions to add also.

After sign up with Strouds we met the whole friendly team and were given a start date which was sooner than expected.

The colour selection time can be a stressful stage but having Kylie their Interior Designer there to assist us in selecting all our colours/ fittings etc was so amazing! Kylie took all our worries away and we really enjoyed the whole process. We even had a yummy platter to munch on as we went along so we couldn’t even get hungry, and we never felt hurried along. Guidance from Kylie was a huge help and took so much stress away. She really understood and listened to what we envisioned and had some great ideas too.

We had many walk throughs including an electrical walk through with the electrician himself. We received weekly calls, texts and photos with updates every Friday from Brad which we always looked forward to, especially if we were away and big changes were happening. Even if there was no progression within that week we were still contacted. Any of our phone calls with questions during the build, a member from Strouds would always get back to us that same day.

Any of our selection changes or extra add ons even after contracts were signed weren’t an issue. It was an easy process to add or change. All our envisions came to life- Fireplace hearth design, main bedroom feature wall and more.

All Strouds inclusions are already of a higher standard and are all locally sourced. The building timeline was spot on, started on time and completed early actually.

We’re so happy with our build. We have a beautiful family home that we wake up in every morning, smiling!
