Long shipping delay not stated up front

I ordered a $5-600 espresso maker from alwaysonsale.

My complaint about alwaysonsale is that they do not let you know that they do not ship your product for 7 business days until after you order.

I thought ok, it is a cover your butt statement and it will ship sooner, but no, on the 7th business day it was stil 'on order' so I canceled as I did not feel it would ever ship, especially after reading reviews here.

That afternoon, Friday, I ordered the same unit from appliancesonline.com.au and it was at my door at 9:15 Monday morning. That is the turnaround time I expect, sure, the unit cost more, but at least I have it.

I think alwaysonsale could save themselves some greif if they provided their shipping policy up front on the main page.

Information about our despatch times, along with a lot of other Q&As are contained in our FAQ section, located on a tab at the top of the Home page. We are not intending to hide any information that would be of use to our customers, but feel that it's more helpful to answer all possible questions, as well as provide all relevant information, in the one FAQ tab. But your feedback does warrant a review of possibly including a prompt on our home page to the FAQ tab to make this information more visible.
