Our dream family home – We have now been in our Stroud home for 8 weeks. We love it!!! The initial decision to jump in and build can be somewhat daunting. However, these apprehensions soon dissolved after our first meeting with Simon, Brad and their team. What stood out for us was straight up honesty in costs and build possibilities and a general feel of personalised service rather than being another volume build number. In the planning process we were able to re-design a Stroud plan, changing many of the internal structures. Simon was always up front and accurate with costs. Another bonus was being able to plan with the team’s interior designer. She was such a great help, never pushing her own agenda, instead using our ideas to create a beautiful home. During the actual build we were very impressed with the availability to inspect the house. Unlike other companies where you may get 2 inspections, Simon and Brad invited us out numerous times to look over and explain where they were at. In their own words, “we have nothing to hide”. This was very evident over the course of the build. No build runs along perfectly, but both Simon and Brad were constantly updating us of changes to timelines. Both were always diligent in getting back to our questions. We are extremely happy with the quality of the build. Stroud’s inclusions are of a higher quality than a regular franchise. Our house has been fitted out with quality fixtures and fittings and many of our friends have commented on this. We cannot thank Simon and Brad’s Stroud team enough. We had a very personalised build process, honesty, no hidden costs and open and regular contact. We have a beautiful home that will be a fantastic place for our two young children to grow up in. If you are in the process of choosing a builder, we cannot recommend Stroud Homes Ballarat highly enough.
