Quality not so good but hard-core support was great – Don’t know whether to give two or three stars for this product. Seven months after purchase the controller no longer worked top marks for hard-core… Read more
they supplied a new one fairly quickly. The blanket has now had nearly all its tiedown tags are ripped out unfortunate typical Chinese quality. I’ve had it 13 months now and is still working.

took it into a Bunnings and they phoned Hardkoor, the Hardkoor people approved a replacement on the spot - no need to send it back etc etc . This made it all so easy and we were back on the road quickly.
The best bang for buck off road camper – Bought one of the first HardKorr Campers and have used it for a year now with about 8 trips mainly 2 - 4 days and a 2 week trip. Extremely… Read more
functional, and truly only takes a few minutes to erect. 10 minutes and you are sitting having a coffee from your pull out kitchen. Ours has, kitchen, privacy tent for shower/toilet, large 92lt fridge, queen size bed (with convenient steps up to it) 270 awning with easy fit tent sides (if you want) 100lt water tank and solar. First thing to do is replace the shockingly hard bed it's 50mm and terrible & apart from a couple of straps on the 270 degree awning breaking, everything else is awesome. It's made in China and assembled here but the build quality is quite good. A fully off road off grid camper for a little over 30k is great value. After sales service is pretty good too. Three of the Hardkorr employees actually came to an arranged camp we went to last week. Hope this helps.

corrugations. It's only.weakness is the on/off switch which can get sheared off if you pack the box tightly. This was a me problem, but Hardkorr were able to arrange a replacement and any company that has a decent spare parts capability is gold in my books.
Hardkorr lithium 200ah battery shuts down at 11.9v why? – My battery a Hardkorr 200ah lithium is 3 months old and has shut down twice due to low voltage at 11.9v. I am running an Everkool 95l fridge and have a 300 wat Solar panel, this never happened when I had 3 AGM batteries.
"3 colour" version: Warm white it aint – These lights seem to get great reviews, but I am very unimpressed with my 6 bar kit. I will use, by way of comparison, a 5m LED WARM white strip… Read more
light (IP67 rated) from Aldi for $40.
Point 1 - Brightness All 6 bars give approx. 3000 lm on cool white setting and approximately 2.5m of total ‘bar’ length (much further with cables in between the lights). I have no lumen rating for the 5m strip light, but in a visual comparison, it is clearly brighter than the hard korr lights.
Point 2 – colour temperature. The name sort of gives it away. “Hard Korr” doesn’t sound like “nice” light… And it isn’t. The cool white setting is simply horrible… Far too harsh. Makes everything ugly. That’s OK… I would expect that. But the real disappointment is the “Warm white” setting. Even with the colour temp “warmed” to maximum, the light is not really warm at all. It could be described as a ‘cool neutral’ at best. Probably around 4000K colour temperature if I was to guess by eye. The Aldi strip light gives a really nice, ~2700K. Very pleasing, and with no lack of brightness. The orange setting on the HK lights is nice… But you are sacrificing a lot of illumination when you’re using this setting (lumen output seems to be just over half what the harsh white setting gives).
Point 3 – adaptability (Vs complexity) This is what Hard korr lights are famous for in their reviews, but any kind of expansive setup covering a larger campsite is going to see you running a lot of cables and probably doing up a lot of cable ties. A simple, 5m strip can be used in a number of ways too, with a lot less fuss. Sure, I have only one power source powering only one strip rather than heaps of switching options… But let’s face it – we’re CAMPING people… Isn’t it supposed to be about ‘keeping it simple’?
Sadly, this $200+ set of lights loses out in every way to a $40 competitor. I regret my purchase of the HK lights. (And I regret not buying several of the Aldi strips when they were available!)
strap keeps undoing – Overall this is a reasonable light, however, I have to keep adjusting the strap as it keeps going loose. Kind of makes the hands free on-off switch redundant if you have to keep touching head/strap if hands are dirty.
Brilliant - Literally – The 4 Bar LED system from HARD KORR is better than expected - it works and the light is well above expections. Initially I was concerned that it… Read more
would not provide enough light however after 15 nights of use I am very happy. Good: Solid storage case, multiple on / off switches, good extension leads, Not so good: Still trying to work it out.....
