I’ve had a really disappointing experience with SodaStream Australia. I purchased my machine in 2021, but it had relatively limited use as it was in… Read more
storage for a period. When I recently started using it regularly, it stopped working properly — it barely carbonates water when pressed.
I contacted support seeking a repair, replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law, as I would expect a product like this to last longer than it has, particularly given the limited use.
Instead, I was repeatedly told that because the 2-year warranty had expired, they would not assist — and that their warranty is “in line with the ACL,” which is simply incorrect. Consumer guarantees under Australian law apply independently of any warranty and require products to be durable for a reasonable period.
Despite raising this clearly and asking for escalation, my concerns were dismissed. "This is not possible."
It’s disappointing to see a company ignore its obligations under the ACL and shift responsibility back onto the customer.
Would not recommend based on both product durability and customer service.
I have 3 Sodastreams . The oldest push down at the top model is far superior to the others . The ART model looks cool but it spurts water from the… Read more

but top seal leaks all CO2 into upper head. So no pressure and zero carbonation of water. I threw out receipt as bought with groceries. I suspect it was a returned faulty put back on the shelf. So can only review this item as junk and a loss of $70 and a bad experience. Deffective out of the box.
Do yourself a favour and stay clear of this brand! There are many alternatives that are better and widely available. I have had two different… Read more
machines and both failed shortly after the warranty period, one of them being this model. They both leaked water unless underfilling the bottle, and were extremely inefficient at carbonating water. I just purchased a Breville InFizz and the difference is like day and night. The worst part is the very bad customer support from Sodastream, as they clearly don't stand by their own products! I contacted support because I wasn't getting much carbonation out of my cylinders, and had to replace them too frequently, only getting about half of the promised 60l per cylinder. In response, they told me to screw in my cylinder as tight as I possibly could, and that I couldn't possibly brake the machine doing this. That's what I did, and as a result, the flimsy plastic mechanism that holds the cylinder broke! They then told me they can't do anything because my machine is out of warranty! Even though this happened as a result of their instructions and advice! I have never experienced such outrageous incompetence and customer neglect. They offered me 20% off another machine but I said 'no thanks, never again!'. The fact that they can sell their machines for 40% off on black Friday sales just shows how low the value of these machines really is! Stay clear! It's all plastic and not fantastic!
Unpleasant Product – I agree with the negative reviews. There is something very unpleasant about this flavour—it’s not cream soda. The synthetic sweetener, synthetic… Read more
vanilla, bizarre colouring, and poor mixing all contribute to an overall unpleasant product.
Luckily, I got this on sale, as I promptly binned it after tasting it. And it’s not just me—my entire family agreed it wasn't something they will drink.
It definitely needs a reformulation; it’s clear that customers don’t like it.

Unfortunately, these bottles are very unstable and tend to fall over if bumped lightly.
The bases also tend to stay filled with water after washing, instead of draining.
Being able to wash them in a dishwasher without them warping is a game changer
