really distasteful. There is no option to change it so it feels like I'm in a room with an abusive person. Last night, when the tv was started up it went straight to some bigot discriminating against a transwoman and deliberately misgendering her. Another example is the software featuring a show starring Paul Murray singing the praises of Trump's America and the amazing President that he is. While one might argue that it wasn't Samsung producing that rubbish, they don't give the opportunity to change these defaults - it's fixed in the software - and so Samsung is aligned with bigotry and leaves the viewer stuck with right wing extremist propaganda in start up and which jumps right in if you don't quickly select a streaming service. In short, only but this tv if your world view is right wing and this sort of world view is ok for you but neither I nor my family would be buying Samsung again.

It is a SAMSUNG and a 2926 model.

The picture quality is beautiful. Works as it should with the kids Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.

I have found that its response can be stalled and slow when going through the menu and choosing any app. I particularly watch YouTube which appears to lag initially response. Meaning, when I push the remote button to turn You Tube on, it takes a while to load and is not instant.

I also experience an issue with the volume. Sometimes the volume sticks and it cannot be adjusted. I usually turn the TV of and back on again to fix the issue.

I have also experienced no response when turning the TV on. Nothing happens, and it does not turn on.

Given that $895 is not exactly loose change, I am somewhat disappointed, although once the TV is running like normal, all us good with a nice clear picture,

One thing that I was very disappointed with was the lack of a microphone search function on the remote to match the YouTube search. I would often use this on our previous SAMSUNG OLED TV and found it great.

I guess that is my fault for not checking this thoroughly prior to rushing in to purchase.

We had a previous SAMSUNG TV which was a considerably higher $2700 price. Everything was responsive on it, my son worked it tiredly for lengthy periods with his gaming and it lasted for approximately 7 years.

and surprisingly good quality sound from the TV itself without a sound bar. Then recently, I had an intermittent audio issue. When I first turned the TV on, the audio was tinny, like a cheap transistor radio, it just did not sound very good at all. I reviewed the audio settings. I even reset it, turned the TV on and off a few times, and then the audio came back to normal. Anyway, I visited JB HiFi they logged the fault. Eventually, Samsung arranged to replace two parts, the main board and speakers. Unfortunately, a different issue resulted after that repair, intermittently, the sound became muffled, not clear at all, when I first turned it on. This happened a couple of times. I called Samsung about the issue they arranged for a technician to have a look at it again. On the 2nd visit, the technician recorded the audio issue, as it occurred when he turned the TV on, he was not able to rectify the fault, said he will forward the issue back to Samsung with his recommendation. Now I have been notified of another repair to it I suggested a replacement this has been knocked back by management I was informed by Samsung case manager. Not at all happy with this service. This is a premium TV it should run well for a long time for the price I paid.

when it comes to design and presentation. However, the overall experience is undermined by the way Samsung manages software, control, and long-term product behaviour.

The ecosystem is heavily locked into SmartThings, a platform that feels mandatory rather than optional, and limits how users can interact with devices they own. Over time, firmware updates have repeatedly changed functionality in ways that reduce control, restrict access to features and APIs, and alter how core functions behave after purchase. In particular, simple features like reliably controlling Art Mode when the TV is not in use have become less consistent and more constrained.

Across three Samsung Frame TVs in my own use, each one behaves differently due to firmware revisions and ongoing changes introduced by Samsung after purchase. This lack of consistency between identical products is frustrating and undermines confidence in the platform. It feels like the goalposts are being moved after the fact, with no real regard for existing owners.

While the Frame TV can still serve its basic purpose as an artwork display for casual users, it comes with the expectation that software behaviour may change at any time, potentially removing or limiting functionality that was previously available. There are also concerns around the level of data being transmitted by the devices, which adds to the lack of trust in the system.

As it stands, I can no longer recommend the Samsung Frame TV. Years ago, I would have strongly endorsed it, but the ongoing erosion of user control, inconsistent firmware behaviour, and restrictive ecosystem design have changed that view completely.

Hardware is good.

Unfortunately, the Tizen / Smart Hub experience is a major turn off. And I would not recommend buying this TV.

A very large part of the Home screen is permanently occupied by Samsung's "Sponsored Tiles" (just look at the size of the samsung ad below!), together with Now Playing and recommendation areas that I do not use. You can rearrange apps and disable Samsung TV Plus, but you cannot simply create a clean Home screen containing the apps and inputs you actually want.

I contacted Samsung support specifically about removing the Sponsored Tiles. After checking with their marketing team, Samsung confirmed to me that Sponsored Tiles cannot be disabled through the TV settings. I was told that the only way to prevent them appearing is to disconnect the TV from the internet.

That is an extraordinary design decision on a premium smart TV. This is MY TV - that I paid a lot of money for.

I am simply asking for an Off switch. Owners should be able to hide Sponsored Tiles, Now Playing and recommendation rows while retaining normal internet, streaming and smart-TV functionality.

This should be an easy Tizen improvement: Settings → Home Screen → Sponsored Tiles: On / Off

If Samsung adds proper Home-screen customisation, I would revise my rating upward. Until then, find a TV that doesn't try to sell you things.
