quickly becomes part of your daily life, and now I cannot imagine my mornings without it.
The first thing that impressed me was the design. The machine looks elegant and premium, almost like a piece of modern kitchen décor rather than just another coffee maker. The large touchscreen is intuitive and surprisingly easy to navigate. Within a few days, selecting my favorite drinks became second nature.
The coffee quality has been consistently excellent. Whether I want a strong espresso in the morning or a creamy latte in the afternoon, the S8 delivers with very little effort. The built-in grinder does an excellent job of preserving the aroma of freshly ground beans, and the milk system creates smooth, rich foam that feels café quality. Family members and guests often ask where I bought my coffee because they are surprised it comes from a home machine. The S8 can prepare a wide variety of drinks with just a touch of the screen and includes advanced brewing technologies designed to optimize flavor extraction and convenience.
Another thing I appreciate is the convenience. I no longer need to visit coffee shops regularly, which has saved both time and money. The machine handles nearly everything automatically, from grinding and brewing to prompting me when it needs cleaning.
Of course, no machine is perfect. The biggest downside is the price. It is definitely a luxury purchase and may feel excessive for someone who only drinks an occasional cup of coffee. The cleaning process for the milk system also requires regular attention, and the machine's glossy surfaces can show fingerprints and minor scratches over time. Reviewers also commonly mention the premium price and maintenance requirements as drawbacks.
Overall, owning the Jura S8 has been a fantastic experience. It delivers excellent coffee, looks beautiful on the kitchen counter, and offers the convenience of having a personal café at home. Despite the high initial cost and maintenance requirements, it has proven to be one of my favorite kitchen investments.

only set 1. That’s not Jura’s fault, but that would be awesome.
I’d had the unit about 3 days when I encountered this issue; it would not process the steamed milk, it would just blow hot air, I pulled it apart to clean it (as recommended), that’s when I found an internal part had separated, it’s called the distributor.
Jura were good, although they did question my cleaning schedule, I clean it every day around the same time, so that wasn’t the issue. They supplied me with a new part and I’ve had no issue since. This is a single cup machine which is fine, but when I’m making a few cups, if I get distracted or I’m too long to get back to the machine, it will do a rinse and put rinse water in my cup. Jura cleaning products are on the expensive side and it says use Jura products only.

coffee. Great when you have people over, can all be done via the Jura app I usually have a black coffee which is piping hot, when making cappuccinos, I usually just heat the cups for added heat, there is an adjustment in the machine to choose what heat settings you want
Jura Z10
Bought it in July 2022 and have enjoyed it since (5-6 cups a day consistently). Had to find really good beans (Italian Blend) and clean it regularly using genuine tablets. Not a single issue. Still curious, though, why it has a WiFi module. Show details

The new Jura J10 automatic coffee machine seems to be a new-generation design. The outer case materials are still overwhelmingly plastic, but the… Read more
machine has several functional improvements over previous models. The grinder now reverses momentarily after grinding, apparently to dislodge any remaining coffee residue, and the intensity adjustment can now be performed when the grinder is stationery.
The milk frother has been redesigned to eliminate the annoying rubber top wedge plug which was prone to failure and was expensive to replace. The new frother works OK but the milk froth does not seem to be as robust or as dense as it was previously. So you might want to increase the duration of the milk froth delivery to compensate. It worked for me.
There has also been a big improvement to the milk system cleaning procedure. It is now a one-button-press process, with the machine filling the receptacle with hot water to dissolve the cleaning crystals and then cleaning the system with less water consumption than previously needed. The milk frother itself still needs to be cleaned regularly, but weekly instead of daily. Cleaning daily is better to prevent any internal milk residue build-up.
Heating-up times seem a bit longer than earlier models but the upside is that the coffee is significantly hotter than that from earlier machines. A big improvement there. Heat the cups first if you want a very hot coffee.
The number of coffee types available is very extensive and probably much more than anyone wants or needs, and each one is programmable. This is a complex machine but performs well. After the initial trepidation regarding operational procedure and programming, the machine becomes easy to operate and relatively intuitive.
The coffees, both black and milk types, are very good indeed when you get the intensity, strength, temperature and milk quantity right for you. My wife approves. Flavoured coffees and foams are not my thing but they're available, as is cold brew coffee in several options.
There are undoubtedly more innovations and options than mentioned here, and a more comprehensive instruction manual would be useful.
The normal coffee machine maintenance regimes are required including filter changing and machine cleaning, etc. I think that Jura is very mean for not providing a milk container with the machine. A machine worth thousands of dollars should be operationally complete when delivered. The Jura milk container is $50+ and is not even toughened glass. If you drop it, it will shatter into lethal shards. The original Jura insulated stainless steel milk container was much better but is discontinued.
This is a large, heavy and very capable machine. Certainly, it is much better that the three previous Jura machines I have owned and might be the best Jura coffee machine currently available, in my opinion.

Large enough 2.5 LTRS
- Matching colour to coffee machine
- Lights to let you know how full it is
- Alarm when Machine is empty
- Easy enough to clean
Cons
- Expensive $550 where I bought it from, although pricing varies slightly depending on where you buy it.
- Lackluster warranty! 12 months on a $500+ item? Rubbish!
- Doesn't come with the wifi/Bluetooth chip to communicate with the machine
- No stainless steel milk line, again, it should come with it at this price point.
- Not value for money
- Does NOT AUTO RESTART AFTER POWER OUTAGE.
Up until tonight this machine had proven it's worth, to me, at least... When my partner bought his Jura S8 as a tax return present to himself last month I decided I'd buy the matching fridge for convenience. All went well, minus the price shock and the apparent lack of value, but we got a really good deal on the coffee machine and I bought it from a smaller retailer so I accepted it.
Firstly it's easy enough to put together and set up. You can lock the top with the included key to stop contamination, it has lights too! Four in total, to tell you how full it is, and an irritating beep when it gets low. I feel the scale built in that measures how full the machine is, is actually not calibrated correctly. As twice it's told me it's empty when there's about 1/8 left in there. I feel like at the price they could have included the Bluetooth chip that communicates to the coffee machine, or even app integration where you could put in the milks expiration date, just something extra to make you feel like your money is going somewhere.
The milks usually around the 5 degree mark, although it is auto set to 4 it doesn't achieve this until it gets down under half. Despite all of the issues I do still like it, but the one thing I cannot forgive or get past, is the fact that when the power is cut out it doesn't come back in automatically! Last night we had a unseasonable storm and the power was knocked out, brief as it was however it was enough that the Jura fridge decided it was not going to turn back on! I went to make a cappuccino just now and the milk is off. Not impressed! My fridge and freezer don't just shut off and not come back on, so I do absolutely expect better.
