Install the fridge with the good instructions and good information provided. Been using it for six weeks now, uses barely any power and as it is the middle of winter we haven't taken it off level one and everything has been perfectly cold. Show details

Dometic Crx80L upright fridge – Very cold fridge, runs well. Now there is a but. Disappointing for a modern fridge to draw so much power. 5.6amps compared to other fridges. Drops a… Read more

battery to 50% over night meaning even a 200w solar panel struggles to bring a battery up to full charge in a day ready for another night. note: i changed battery to a 140AH battery and performed better.

Pros - We have found this fridge to work amazingly every time. Cons - The new dual hinge system is a bit clunky and you need to hear the clicks when… Read more

closing the doors. Our main fridge door has fallen off multiple times from the RH hinge, there isn’t any posts about this online, but I eventually noticed that the hinge pins are removable so you can access behind the control panel, so the RH pin wasn’t pushed down enough to hold the door when it was opened, so my easy fix is just tap the pins home on each side.

its so bad - how can Dometic exist anymore? The 240V heating element died within a year and no warranty. Started looking for the parts and read so… Read more

many complaints about the heating element - there is something wrong and Dometic need to address this and replace the cause. Will go out of my way to tell others never again....

Would NOT recommend Dometic for caravan fridges. We had a fault with the compressor on our less-than-12-month-old Dometic RUC8404x , plus the… Read more

freezer door panel trims broke and the whole panel fell off right in the middle of our family holiday, 2,700 km from ome. After getting it inspected by an authorised service agent, Dometic’s response was that it would take a week just for them to look at the claim, and another week to get a replacement fridge… if approved. Absolutely devastating. This holiday was something we’d spent years saving for, and this has put us so far behind. Extremely disappointed with both the product quality and the lack of support. Buyer beware. Would expect better from a $3000+ fridge and a brand that markets reliability and "off grid living"

6 year old caravan Dometic fridge/freezer that I have had to defrost nearly every 3rd day for years because the seals are useless. Finally decided… Read more

enough was enough and phoned Dometic to order new seals…1/2 hour wait in line to be told you cannot buy news seals you have to order a new door for the fridge and a new door for the freezer and that will be over $600.00 worth plus freight. All I wanted was new door seals. Forget Dometic.
