2022. Considering how much more expensive everything got since then, it's not bad. My experience has been good. I can see a few bad reviews but expectations should be tempered by the very low price. You are getting a Kia, not a Rolls Royce. :-D On the positive side, it's simple, does the job and even has speed adjustment. For what it is, the 3 year warranty is a nice bonus and gives a peace of mind. On the negative side, and this is my only main gripe, the original collection bag didn't last very long. I was able to get a replacement bag and it seems to hold together better but it's very ill-fitting. No matter what I did, air would leak around it, blowing out dust. But, there is nothing a bit of duct tape couln't fix, right?! I just wrapped some around the connection chute and everything was fine after that. So, that's one replacement bag in 3 years and still going, so maybe it's not that bad. The other thing is that the chute is relatively tight, so never let the bag fill up 100% but you shouldn't do that, anyway. Normally it still doesn't clog up but somebody borrowed it and let the bag fill up with damp leaves and I had to remove the bag and clean out the chute which clogged up and the blower/vacc selection lever was stuck. It was just a few minute job to fix, so no big drama. I can see most people spring for the battery operated alternatives but a corded blower vacc like this is way cheaper, powerful, has no hassles with charging expensive batteries that are subject to losing charge with aging and no danger of running out of juice mid-job and you don't have the added weight of the battery to lug around. If you have a long enough extension cord and a mains socket nearby, corded is great. Of course, it's not suitable for wet weather but blower vaccs wouldn't work well in wet conditions, anyway. This was a replacement for a corded Ryobi which had a multitude of usability problems and I was quietly happy when it died and had to find a replacement. Ryobi used be cheap and cheerful but it's now neither and I think Ozito has that crown.

battery, two collection bags and now the battery charger unit - what disgrace this product has been for me. They say doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of stupidity - well, I'm stupid for wasting money on this lousy product. Think carefully about buying this Ryobi product.
Victa 82V Cordless Back Pack Blower

seems to produce a bit more power when using the 4ah battery when compared to the 2ah battery. Power is similar to the Ego 56V backpack blower (but not as powerful as AEG's 58V backpack blower), but the Victa is more efficient in using the battery for better runtimes. On full power (without using turbo), the Victa will probably give the same runtime on a 4Ah (288wh) battery as the Ego with a 7.5ah (420wh) battery. The only downside with the Victa is that the position of the air intake. I often find my loose shirts being pulled causing the intake air flow being restricted. Also, I did notice at times, the motor makes a cluck noise and stops for a few moments. Apart from these, this is an awesome blower. Whether, it is durable or not, only time will tell.
Ozito BLV-2402
Beat Expectations Until It Did Not – The Ozito Blower/Vac was pretty good. I did not expect it to deliver the performance of a more expensive unit, after all, it is Ozito (only $130 @… Read more
Bunnings). However, it performed well. We have Eucalyptus trees shedding twigs, bark, and leaves all year long. Every 2 weeks it is a 4 to 5 hour job cleaning the roof, patio, walkway, and drive. Heaps of vegetation. The Ozito did 3 sessions of blowing and vacuuming. The bag gets emptied every 30-40 minutes. Everything started getting bad when the bag's zipper started getting difficult, and it just got worse regardless of the number of times you cleaned the bag (inside & out). The zipper is not heavy-duty enough and should be bigger. The inappropriate size of the zipper makes the unit useless. I returned the machine to Bunnings, and they gave me a refund. I am now going to purchase the Stihl SHE-81.

debris. It comfortable to wear, its robust, its easy to start and it has a reported air velocity of 298km/h. All I know is that, it can move debris quickly.
Ryobi has come a long way with it's current range of garden power tools. There was a time when I wouldn't touch them. Now, I find myself looking at them before the other 'big name' products.
Important - use the recommended synthetic oil and petrol mix. Don't fiddle with the ratios.

The unit is the usual Ryobi green colour and the nozzle is a rubber like flexible plastic material. There is a three-position switch. When you are in #3 setting you get the boost when holding the trigger fully compressed. I already had several batteries and a charger already I just bought the bare skin at the local green big box store for $ 89AUD.
Likes: • Should run a long time with standard 5 Amp hour battery pack • Quick charge time, and you can swap out with a spare battery if needed. • Sturdy Construction Dislikes • Strangely enough, if you place down it on the battery pack on the bottom, it tips forward and falls over on it's side. The center of gravity is too far forward. I might “fix" mine by attaching a plywood base to the bottom of the battery that will stop this form happening • If you are right handed, the air inlet for the fan can be blocked if it touches your leg. • Loud noise in boost mode; it makes a high pitched whistling sound that is annoying. When I measured the decibels using an app it came in at 60 decibels How would I rate this? Probably 4 out of 5. The operating instructions could be better. If the leg suction issue was addressed and it didn’t tip over it would probably give it a 5.
