appalling. Purchased new replacement dishwasher 30 June 2025, product in stock. Because I live an hour out of Melbourne, it is a street side delivery only with COPE. I tried to schedule the delivery with Miele as I was going away but was told COPE will be in contact. 2 weeks later I receive a photo from COPE of my new dishwasher sitting on my front porch, open view to street. I was not home for another 2 weeks. Only option I had left after exhausting solutions was to return it requesting a refund. I was not willing to risk someone stealing the DW or gaming it after being weathered in the rain. After 1 week trying to organise a refund, finally I spoke to the resolution team who informed me I would have my refund in 3-5 business days. Now I’m being informed my refund will be 3-5 days after collection. It took a week for Miele to collect the dishwasher and now I’m told the warehouse manager went on leave and they haven’t processed it into the warehouse and I’ll have to wait another 3-5 business days. Which really wasn’t assured 100%. I am tired of dealing with this company charging high prices for poor product quality and appalling customer service. It’s been 2 weeks so far trying to organise a refund.

this close to Christmas couldn't really afford to go the top of the range, so we bought one of these instead.
It was very easy to install, and get up and running. Forget the app.. we started with that and just couldn't get that working, but seriously it is a dishwasher... what on earth purpose does an app serve except maybe to feed usage statistics and location back to Miele?? It was really difficult try to get the app working, and we are very tech literate people, so I have no idea how someone who wasn't so tech savvy would cope. We gave up on that.
The dishwasher is no where near the size of our previous one, despite being 5mm taller in height (requiring cabinet modifications. It simply does not fit our dishes in as well as the previous one did. Can't fit in as many glasses, can't fit in as many plates. This is a huge disappointment for us.
It is also clearly not as well made or put together as our previous Miele. It has a tacky plasticky feel about it, and the . A second big disappointment, and this is a major problem for me.
It came with a sample of the AutoDos, so we were keen to give this a go, assuming that Miele knows the best detergent to use in their machines for the best result.
The program is super super quiet, insulating out even the sound of the water swishing around.
The cleaning ability is perfect. We do not pre-rinse our dishes, just scrape off any obvious food, and all of the dishes and the dishwasher itself came out spotless and perfectly dry.
The auto open feature left us a bit stuck for a bit. We couldn't figure out how to open it beyond the small crack, and didn't want to force it. A quick google search revealed that several others had had this same problem and the answer was simply "use more force" Not a very "Miele" solution.
Unfortunately we discovered that the detergent from the AutoDos was not rinsing off completely on the Automatic cycle. This left an absolutely unbearable taste on the dishes and in the glasses completely tainting and destroying several meals and drinks.
We contacted Miele service - who were really less than helpful. They were unable to advise whether or not the Auto part of the AutoDos could be adjusted. The only thing they could offer us was a field visit by a technician. Great, so now we had been without a dishwasher for weeks, due to the old one breaking and the new one fouling up the crockery, cutlery and glassware and now we had another week of waiting.
The technician when he did arrive was excellent as usual. Have never had any complaints about their service techs. He advised us that he was able to adjust the setting to either High, Normal or Low. It was on Normal. So he adjusted it to the Low setting and since then all of the detergent seems to be washing off through the cycle and the quality of the clean is still excellent. (It does seem kind of ridiculous to me that this setting cannot be adjusted by the owner) I will however give our previous powder a go once the AutoDos runs out. At $18.40/pack plus $8.00 shipping it makes it a ridiculously expensive dishwasher powder for only 20 washes.
On the plus side... We have Riedel glassware and it cleans these glasses perfectly. We have glass milk bottles and it cleans these perfectly too (bottles are often challenging for dishwashers).
So the cleaning is fantastic now that we have sorted out the AutoDos. But the build quality is disappointing, and I clearly have purchased one that is too small, which is the sales guy's fault, not Miele's. He just didn't know his products, but nonetheless disappointing for us as it doesn't suit us.
We've had it just over three weeks now. I will write an update in 12 months if I still have it.

Not long after purchasing we had issues with filter system. F11/F45 errors. We did the usual troubleshooting. At the two year and one month mark it stopped working. I contacted Miele - out of warranty by 30 days. I then went back to Harvey Norman and quoted the Australian Consumer Law. So then the wait started. Firstly to get Miele to contact me to organise a technician to come out and assess the machine. I ended up contacting them. Three weeks wait to assess the machine only. Technician came out. Major fault with the heater. Have to wait for part to arrive. More waiting. Technician tells me part has arrived but Miele have to book me in. Promised by the technician that I would get a call by the end of the week. No call. I texted the technician around 6pm that night. His response - how dare I text him after hours!! I called Miele first avaialble business day. Eventually got a booking for the repair. Another three weeks. Got repaired. And you guessed it. F11 error again!! We replaced the return valve this time. Lasted two weeks. Machine was constantly showing errors. This time we ditch the machine and go back to Bosch.

do not last. Controller is at bottom and any water issues, which are expected with a dishwasher render it useless. Look and stacking is great. Washing was ok, but handwashing does a better job. Large pots and grime were not washed off. Had to do a lot of re-washing by hand. Takes hours to do one load. Overall very disappointed due to the cost compared to other dishwashers that last longer and do equally as bad a job, but are also much faster.

years, and closer to 15 -20 years might be a reasonable expectation. Great. First and foremost we were after a durable appliance. We used the dishwasher sparingly but after 6 years experienced an F51 fault. On inspection the heater relay was found faulty and replaced with further faults indicating either a PCB or wash motor replacement or both needed. Hefty repair costs meant new replacement. Disappointed that the washer died after what would be 1/3 of its expected life.
