beautifully...our airbnb guest have left reviews about how clean our pool is. Battery seemed to be going strong, last use it still ran for hours.
6 days ago it wouldn't charge. I emailed Aiper who sent me a return label to print (24 months warranty). Posted it through Aus Post (free) from our island home and already have an email with tracking number saying it has been fixed (corroded port) and is on it's way home. Great service, excellent communication.

provided with another new unit which failed after 13 months. There is no new warranty period on the new unit, as the 2 year warranty applies as from date of purchase of the first unit. I am very disappointed as it has been a great unit. I will be straying away from Aiper products from now on.

lack of support in the app. There is no scheduler or timed program which means you will constantly recharging it every day or so. It does a reasonable job of picking up surface debris but can get caught going in a loop. The temp sensor never worked on mine also.

When it works, this pool cleaner is really good. The problem however is with reliability, longevity and after-sales support. I have been through two… Read more
units and three faults in less than 18 months, at which point my replacement unit is dead and Aiper is essentially choosing to discontinue assisting me.
I originally purchased my unit in November 2024. It worked well for 6 months then developed a fault (the power button didn't work, the unit turned on by itself when out of the pool, it would stop and start moving intermittently when in the pool). It was sent back for repair and then worked well again for 7 months, at which point it developed a new fault (it would not turn off with the power button, only on full draining of the battery). This time, instead of repair, a new 2025 model was provided by Aiper as a replacement, which was good of Aiper. That cleaner also worked well, until it didn't - which this time unfortunately only took 3 months, and the battery has died/the unit won't charge.
I've requested another replacement unit, however this time Aiper is only offering a refund on return of the faulty unit. They're using some dodgy nonsense excuse about not having any replacement units available to provide, despite having stock available to purchase in their store (which they say they cannot access for replacement purposes - apparently "after-sales inventory is separate from the stock available for sale on our website").
They have said I can repurchase a new unit after I receive my refund, however the issue here is that I paid $765 for my unit on sale, whereas the current price is $1199. So they want me to pay an extra $434 (or 56 percent more) to access a replacement unit, which is both extortionate and illegal under Australian Consumer Law.
I have notified them that this is unacceptable and am awaiting a response. I've refrained from writing a negative review up until now because the cleaner is good when it's working, and Aiper has been amenable in its follow-up service, right up until it has not. But this is a step too far and I feel people should be fully informed of the risks if they're considering purchasing this product.
Obviously these units have design/mechanical/battery issues (just have a quick look at reviews) and are unreliable in the long term. Support is patchy, and you need to bear in mind that if you're sending your unit back for repair or replacement every six months it might be weeks that you're left without a pool cleaner, which could harm your pool significantly, so it's best to have a back-up cleaner on hand (which you shouldn't have to have, but I recommend you do if you go down the Aiper path, as otherwise you will find yourself manually cleaning for extended periods of time, which totally defeats the purpose of having a pool cleaner). Would I recommend this cleaner? On balance, no. Reliability and after-sales service need to be considered along with initial price, and buying this cleaner from Aiper is clearly risky, unacceptably so now in my opinion, from my experience.

feedback and forced me past the 30 days so they didnt have to refund it.
- It occassionally floats to "skim" the surface however the issue is that it bobs up and down (video for evidence) and doesnt actually clean. the constant up and down motion sees it push floating debris around the pool for a few hours and not clean anything - It will often get stuck at the skimmer box either in wall mode or sometimes in skimmer mode and then throw an error, every pool has a skimmer box it makes no sense that it cant handle the simplicity of this - It throws constant errors sometimes only a few minutes into a clean (image attached for evidence) - It wont connect to the app after they changed something in the app, so all bluetooth and wifi function no longer works. - They oversold the principal of wifi notification because once its below the pool line, there is no notification, the only notification i seem to get on a regular basis is "error" this one seems to be something it can notify me of. The nofitication system and function of this device has been so poor that i didnt know the robot notified about job completion until i watched a video recently, and i didnt know that because the robot hasnt managed to finisha clean to trigger the "end cleaning notification" - I had the device replaced but then had the same issues, so this is evidence that the robot itself just isnt a good product, its not a one off issue nor a basis manufactoring flaw, its a fundamental failure of the product line. - The battery life is poor, but its also hard to judge, i mean it run for 20 minutes, crashes or runs into an error and then three days later (because i didnt get any notificaitons) i remember it was doing a cleaning cycle and there it is at the bottom fo the pool dead flat.... - There is one good feature that worked everytime, "the dock return" i promise you, every single time it run a clean, it will return to the most annoying, far reaching part of the pool, at the complete opposite end of the pool making it impossible to retrieve without going for a swim. Mine never actually finished a cycle but i assume if it had an error it would "return to dock" or in this case, return to the deepest dark depths of the pool for annoying retrieval.
I think if this company was selling 20 pound paper wieghts in the shape of a pool cleaner, they could clean up quite well (punn intended) but unfortunately the only cleaning this robot has done for me, is clean out my bank account.

failed and the unit was replaced. The second machine didn't clean at all and I noticed the sides of the pool were very dirty and sand not collected. I stood and watched the N1 only to find that it cleaned the same section of wall over and over and nowhere else. Fortunately Pool and Spa warehouse allowed me to return the N1 and refunded my money. I have gone back to a robotic cleaner.

warranty as I needed to give them the opportunity to show it was a one off single device issue. The new device lasted 4 hours of cleaning and would no longer power on. That device was returned for a full refund (had to fight for the full refund). Support via the AI bot within the app is terrible. The online form on the website doesn't provide acknowledgement you have submitted a warranty claim. I had to ring only to be told, oh yes, we have it and we will be in touch. IMHO, if this product is the World's Best Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner, I don't hold out much hope for the others on the market.
