complete refusal to honor the warranty. Instead of helping, the staff dismissed my concerns and even declined to repair the bike when I mentioned leaving a negative review. This lack of customer service and accountability was incredibly frustrating.
I cannot recommend 99 Bikes, especially for families looking for safe and reliable products. It’s essential to prioritize safety, and my experience has left me questioning their commitment to it.

tube that I know were not there one day prior. One of these was full thickness through the paint down to the carbon. I understand it is crowded in the service department, and bikes rub on each other. So I do my best to collect my bikes as soon as I can so they are not taking up space for long. This bike is eight months old and has been into the store twice (for routine things), and each time it has sustained some damage. The first time it was the seat post (specific to this frame design), and I covered the affected area with some clear frame protection to prevent similar damage reoccurring in the future. This time I'm having to do some repainting, and considering getting adhesive frame protection, not because I ride my road bike off road, but so that it survives being routinely maintained. I called the store to confirm that they are not clamping the top tube during the work, and they assured me they don't. So I am satisfied the damage is not structural, but cosmetic only. I know these things are not intentional, but accidental. I just get nervous now about getting my bikes serviced which is not an ideal situation.
Super nice and knowledgeable staff – The staffs in the store are supper knowledgeable. They helped me choose the right gear with good club price. There is no way I can do it in an online store. Wouldn't service my bike – I booked my E bike in for a service online but when I took the bike in the service guys refused to service it as it was a Giant and they didn't do Giant e-motors. What a legend – I spent 45 mins sorting out a puncture on my son's front tyre and in the process fixed it but put another hole in the tube. I took the wheel into Phillip and acknowledged defeat, the guy in the service area (on a public holiday) saw the SOS painted across my face and stopped what he was doing to replace the tube and show me some tips for next time. Merida had been sold but I could test ride the Cube at the Fyshwick store! I sent an email later saying how unhelpful this was. But what really annoys me, is that there was not even a ‘sorry’ in response!! ‘No problems’ indeed - I’ve sourced a different brand more locally.

Excellent service at 99 bikes phillip – I came from Sydney to do 5 peaks challenge. Last minute brake pad change and I needed a tool. Avoid At All Costs – My husband has low vision and uses his electric bike as his only means of transport (other than me driving him) as he cannot read bus numbers and taxis are very expensive. said a part needed to be ordered. We then waited 10 days for the part. My husband had asked for a spare part to be purchased so he could get his friends to try to fix the bike if the same problem happened again. The extra spare part was NOT ordered. My husband was contacted today to come and collect the bike, but had to ride it home and then try to adjust the gear cable himself when he got home as it was not adjusted properly. No attempt had been made at the shop to check it was installed properly before the bike was handed over. There was NO consideration given at any time to: - my husband's disability nor - the fact that my husband has a GREAT DEAL of trouble seeing the close up detail well enough to make these adjustments himself or - repair the bike himself, let alone - any consideration to getting the repairs done promptly as my husband needed the bike for transportation. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
