Republishing as the post got removed (wonder by who???) FatBoy manufacturer and the HQ offer a 24 month warranty for their products (As per screen shot below) Pedl decided for financial reasons that they only honour 12 months warranty, obviously this brings them a lot of extra business. If you buy a Fatboy, buy it from the Fatboy HQ and NOT Pedl. I will continue to post this until Padl acknowledge this money making side hustle.

little worry now was that a day after I bought the bike, I walked into the service shop to ask a couple of questions about the bike and purchase a bell since this bike doesn't come with a bell. Their way of talking to me and attending to me was a little cold. Even though I did explain that I just bought the bike from their showroom, 2 of the workshop people didn't even look at me and were discussing something else. I hope I don't have to go through this experience at the service section again.

Follow-up · The handover was very smooth. I had the bike delivered assembled. Saved me time and I was happy to pay the extra for that. No accessories were included at time of purchase but once we have had time with the bike we will look at what accessories will help us.

Follow-up · Service is still top notch after a month. The electric pedal aspect feels super fast compared to previously, it was never this good even when new. My original bike shop closed down and finding Pedl to service my bike has been a blessing.. highly recommended.

your lithium battery to get the best out of it, you gotta know! When I get into something like riding my new Aventon Level 2 2025 model e bike most days , it’s huge fun to learn and explore. I gotta say it again this bike is ridiculously good and fun !! I now love it . PedL have great e bikes and scooters and they can probably get you most bikes you want .
Every time I go to Redfern store or ring them , I learn something! Since pedal did my hundred kilometre check and review and fix up my bike is absolutely excellent and powers and I’m getting great exercise So so far I would give my new event and Level 2 bike 10 out of 10 for lots of enjoyable reasons. I have a huge smile on my face when I ride this thing. It’s cool. I would give pedl Store because they are all hard-core enthusiast and I know what they are doing and their advice is excellent and they are really really into it so that’s good
Follow-up · Every time I ride my Aventon Level 2 I am surprised by how good it is !! I actually love how it performs!!!! The torque when you need it is there ! Smooth acceleration Smooth operation. After seeing a product advertised again on PedL's website, this time I rang to confirm that the product was in stock (yes) before placing my order. Within hours I was informed that my purchase was being prepared for shipping and would soon be on it's way. That was on a Monday around noon. Three days later on Thursday at midday the product was on my doorstep. I thought that was a great service considering that I live in central Queensland. :

E-bike 1000W 48v 13Ah online from their Redfern shop and had it sent up to QLD. Went well for the first few rides then within a few months of use, the battery started to shut off mid ride displaying an error code unless ridden on speed setting no greater than 3 (went to 5). PEDL refused to replace this faulty battery and did not even fix it when I sent it back to them at my cost. They sent it back saying they found no problem and of course it continued to shut off mid ride with the same error code. Disappointing as this was all within the warranty timeframe. They then became difficult to contact and wouldn’t reply at all. Had to report them to ACCC. Save yourself money in the long run and do not buy anything from PEDL especially if interstate. Might have been different if a visit in person to their Sydney shop would improve their customer service. Looking at the number of reviews with the same woeful experience if something needs repair through no fault of the rider, PEDL does not abide by Australian Consumer Law and should’ve been shut down long ago. Best of luck if you choose to ignore the reviews that talk about post-purchase dealings and go ahead with these peanuts. Take note: They will duck & weave you when your bike/scooter breaks. Their website warranty info means absolutely zero and they honoured absolutely zero of it in my case. Purchased online 2024 at Pedl for $1,300.

PedL Review — 1 Star ⭐ Dangerous product failure. Zero accountability. Avoid. We purchased an NCM Moscow Plus Electric Mountain Bike from PedL in September 2025. It was a Christmas gift, ridden for just 3.5 weeks before the front axle (skewer) snapped during completely normal, low-impact riding — a 48kg rider on a near-flat dirt path, crossing a… Read more
small exposed tree root. The result: the front wheel fully ejected from the forks while the bike was in motion. The forks dug into the ground. The rider was thrown and sustained elbow injuries and bruised ribs. His helmet was impact-compromised and needs replacement. The forks bent. The computer, cockpit, and seat were damaged. This is not a warranty grey area. The axle failed first. The accident followed. PedL's response was to immediately frame a structural component failure as "impact damage." Their position is that riding a mountain bike marketed for "rugged terrain" over a small tree root constitutes an impact event outside warranty coverage. This is the same bike they advertise as built to handle "the toughest trails," with a 125kg max load rating. Our rider weighs 48kg. In 20 years of off-road riding across Norco hardtails and Specialized full suspension bikes — including genuinely aggressive terrain — I have never had an axle fail. Frames crack. Forks bend. Wheels get destroyed. Axles do not snap under a lightweight rider on a mild dirt track. This points to a manufacturing defect, not rider error. Rather than accepting the bike for inspection or escalating to Leon Cycles (the Australian importer and distributor, who should absolutely be involved in a wheel-retention failure), PedL's initial response was to direct us to a third-party mechanic and treat it as a repair job. When we pushed back, their position shifted to "we don't accept liability" while offering to "arrange an inspection" — on their terms, requiring us to surrender the bike and all parts. Key facts PedL cannot explain away: The axle failed on a near-flat dirt path under a 48kg rider The bike had been ridden for under 4 weeks The bike is advertised and sold for exactly this type of riding Wheel ejection at speed is a serious safety failure, not a cosmetic warranty issue ACL consumer guarantees require goods to be of acceptable quality — a component that catastrophically fails in normal advertised use does not meet that standard.
If you are considering purchasing a bike from PedL, think carefully. Not about whether the product will work — but about what happens when it doesn't. Based on our experience, the answer is deflection, delays, and a form letter citing "impact damage."

choose sales, if you choose service you get a call back from India giving you the Avocado Bike mobile service number) mind you no answer on that number either.) explained my problems in detail a number of times until it was clear that the problem was understood. I was then told the Avocado Bike service department will call me back in the afternoon. Seven days later still no call or anything from anyone. If you are outside of Sydney do not buy from them you will not get any service. I should have bought in Brisbane and my problem would have been fixed in a few minutes.

I was told: • I only needed to pay a 30% deposit • The bikes could be paid off before delivery • Delivery could be done the last week before they closed • The bikes would be assembled for free • Because they would be assembled, delivery would be $250 per bike, not cheaper because they are not in boxes which I agreed to and paid in full
I paid off the bikes early, exactly as instructed, using the order numbers on each payment.
When I later followed up about delivery, I was spoken to very bluntly by a staff member named Mark, who said he had nothing to do with it and passed it on to the delivery workshop.
Less than two hours later, I received a phone call saying they were at my front gate to deliver — with no prior notice — while my children were home. I explained they were meant to come two weeks later, not that day, and that I hadn’t been told they were on their way. I was told, “We’re here now, we can’t take them back.”
I had to get my mum to handle the delivery while I kept my kids inside.
When I checked the delivery, I discovered both bikes were still in boxes and NOT assembled, despite paying extra for delivery specifically because they were meant to be put together.
When I raised this with the delivery workers, they were rude and said it was my fault because I “paid in instalments” and didn’t pay exactly at the end of December — even though I paid earlier than required, as advised by their own staff. I was told it was “too hard to trace my payments” and that I should hire someone else to assemble them.
These bikes cost over $13,000 in total.
Since then, I have: • Asked multiple times for a supervisor or manager to contact me it wasn’t until two weeks later that the owner contacted me at 12:30 am in the morning and advised that that they done me a favour because I paid them off instead of paying in full so pretty much tough luck and then has not written back since • Sent emails that have been ignored • Found it almost impossible to get through by phone — calls go unanswered or I’m put on hold and told no one is available
At this point, they have completely wiped their hands of the situation.
I have now lodged a formal complaint with Consumer Affairs.
This post is simply to warn others — please be very careful and get everything in writing before dealing with this business.
