Refunds take forever to be returned even under emergency situations. The excuse is that due to the holidays, they are expericing delays in the accounting department. Lots of nice words, but no actions were taken Be aware of this, bwfore you book with them. Show details

Great driver/tour guide. If you have beenvto Kakadu, the landscape is the same apart from 2 average water falls. So if you are not paricular about waterfalls, give it a miss if you have been Kakadu. Lunch very basic, cold meat and salad like Australians ate on hot days 50 years ago. Show details

An experience of a lifetime – Today (Thursday 18/07/2024) we went on the AAT tour to Kings Canyon from Uluru Resort and cannot praise AAT enough. Our tour guide Glen, was exceptional. His enthusiasm, knowledge and organisation of the day was outstanding; he was the best tour guide we have ever had. Worth every red cent! – Initially I thought the 4 day Uluru and Kings Canyon experience was expensive. How wrong I was. AAT Kings attention to detail, organisation and staff were exceptional. Lots of unexpected extras. All accommodation was 4 or 5 star. Even though it rained we had a ball, got to see things most don't because of the rain, lots of waterfalls on Ularu and Kata Juta. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Show details

For a flawless trip to Kakadu – Highly recommend AAT Kings, which had everything well-planned to make our 2-day Kakadu National Park/Arnhem Land adventure as seamless as possible. First and foremost, our host Libby! What a shining star. We liked being her “babe”... before we realised she called everyone else babe too. She was articulate and engaging, a bundle of energy, and a… Read more

warm and entertaining presence on board.

Her informative explanations of the Nourlangie rock art really enhanced our visit there. Yellow Water Billabong was a lovely, tranquil treat. Lunch at Cooinda Lodge was fulfilling and refreshing. The 2-day adventure wasn’t cheap but memories are forever, and we enjoyed every moment.

Disappointing Service from a previously good company - Avoid – Booked a transfer from Alice Springs to Uluru some six weeks before the service was required. The evening before the pickup (due at 6.30am next morning) we received a voice mail advising the trip had been cancelled and that Emu Run would pick us up at 5.50am. As we had a previous experience with Emu Run while in Alice Springs and had some concerns… Read more

about the standard of both the bus and the driver, we would have made other arrangements if enough notice had been given. The trip was as bad as we had feared, bus had a serious gear box problem, given the noise; the heating didn't work, if the back of the bus was warm, water dripped from the ceiling onto the front passengers; and the audio system was completely useless, not a word could be understood. The driver was rude and disinterested - when told that the safety instructions could not be understood he advised the passengers to "clean out their ears". That was pretty well all he said although it was supposed to be a narrated tour. The stop for breakfast was at a Roadhouse with no water in the bathrooms and cold pre-cooked food. The itinerary provided by AAT Kings was vastly different from what was received, and complaints lodged both as soon as we arrived at Uluru and again when we were back home, have been ignored. I wouldn't recommend either company. Aat Kings for their complete disregard for their passengers - if short on numbers transfer to an inferior company, and Emu Run for their safety standards, poor quality staff and equipment that should be off the roads.

The most excellent Coach Driver/Tour Guide, Terry, from Alice Springs – I made the mistake of booking my recent holiday with Imagine Holidays, booking id IMA-12661. The first hotel we stayed at, was not expecting us (a group of 27), so we didn't get into our rooms until after 3pm! Not an auspicious start, but we thought that we had got the worst out of the way early in the trip. Not so. The next day was fully booked… Read more

with tours of interesting places around Alice Springs. Terry arrived a little early, and heard of our problems with the hotel. Being a Sunday, he was a little sceptical of our itinerary and so rang ahead to make sure places we were "booked" to see, were open and expecting us. Fortunately, with Terrys help our day went smoothly. Terry completely reorganised the order in which we saw places according to when they would be able to open for us, as most places were unaware of our "booking". Terry even convinced the Reptile Park to open for us, as the Flying Doctors had no way to accommodate us. Terry spent all 5 days with us, rearranging each day's schedule to suit the heat and lack of bookings made by Imagine on our behalf. Terry was cool, calm and collected for the entire trip, even though he was pulling in favours all over the place to get us fed, staying in the hotels/motels we were "booked" into and keeping us from getting heat stroke by changing the afternoon long hot walks with the mornings cooler shorter walks. Terry also gave us very informative talks about what we were seeing from the coach.

Without Terry, our Imagine holiday would have been a nightmare. Is there a Best Coach Driver of the year award? If so, would you please send me the forms/link to enter Terry? He definitely went way beyond his Coach Driver/Tour Guide duties on our trip.

Thank-you for employing such a wonderfully knowledgeable and motivated Driver/Guide.

Penguin Parade with Driver Steve – Booking with AATKings is smooth and the staff were able to answer any questions prior to the day of the trip to see the Penguin Parade. One word of advice, don't spend any extra for the Penguins Plus - the viewing platform is poorly designed so that half of the seating area faces the wrong way and an overhead light is aimed right in your eyes,… Read more

hampering your changes of seeing the little guys come ashore. Penguins Plus is really Penguins Minus.

Driver Steve out of Melbourne did a yeoman's job of wrangling a busload of people who culturally seem to think that the times to reboard the bus after an attraction doesn't apply to them, making us late and cutting our time short for some of the subsequent stops. I say leave them behind and let them find their own way. Their rudeness impacts everyone else who manages to be on time.

A warning about personal hygiene would be nice as some of the folks forget to bathe and use deodorant while on holiday.

I think I'm ready to start booking private tours and doing a car hire.

Huge Thank You – My wife and I arranged a tour to Kakadu National Park through another booking company, not knowing that AAT Kings was the actual provider. We had the unfortunate experience of travelling on an AAT Kings bus trip to Kakadu from Darwin on a 14 hour return day trip. We had been told that another bus would meet us half way, but this never… Read more

eventuated. The majority of patrons were elderly and it was distressing to see everyone sweating and struggling to remain calm. The water supply onboard had run out and only ice was available. I was extremely disappointed at AAT Kings response to our travel agent stating that it was the bus drivers fault and that he would be reprimanded! They wouldn't respond to my query regarding what policy they have in place if such an incident happens again. Definitely wouldn't travel with them again.

Unpleasant experience with customer service, pre trip – So far the contact we have had booking our Christmas vacation with AAT Kings, has been difficult and treated badly for not recognizing that we are a valued customer and are spending quite a bit of money on a tour they are providing. We had done a day trip with the company before and had put in the details to redeem our discount, however was denied… Read more

the discount due to it only being a day trip. I know people are going to say "what a complainer", we just wanted to be treated like a valued customer that has spent money on a tour with the company especially in the given economy. Now it is extra that we have to pay, on top of what has already been paid. We can't even cancel anything due to all the other plans and arrangements made around this tour. It's our first Christmas as a married couple and the trouble of booking it has given a negative experience and now we aren't looking forward to the actual tour/stay.

Huge Dissapointment – Booked NZ Magic on-line. Tour was “available”. Several weeks later enquiry revealed it was “not a definite tour”. Then it was advised as “Non-Definite”. Opted to lose deposit and secure a definite tour with Fine Touring Group as the doubt with NZ Magic was unacceptable. Show details

Rent a car and save yourself money! – The driver who picked me up at the airport was unprofessional. The driver for the actual sunrise tour and walk was friendly and fine, but even though I had my ticket in hand, he couldn't find me on the company paperwork. could have saved a lot of money and hassle if I had just rented a car. The distances in the Yulara area are quite short. If you are hoping to see the sunset and sunrise on Uluru, you can do it at your own pace, not the pace of five tour buses!

Darwin to Katherine Gorge – Our tour guide, Libby, was great. She was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable..but the tour was far too long. 6am to 9pm with toilet stops which were absolutely disgusting. Excellent drivers – It was the first time I had been in the The Northern Territory and wanted to see as much as possible. AAT Kings offered tours which fitted the bill - mostly. a bit disappointing their was an out of control fire which prevented experiencing the full tour. It was an extremely long day and what we saw of Kakadu limited by the distance it is from Darwin. Kathryn Gorge again was a very long day with the distance making it a rushed experience. I would suggest that on all of these tours people should take two days instead of one to get a better appreciation of the places they wish to see.
