Uncaring, rip off company – Booked a stay with this company over Booking.com, which advertised FREE cancellation. Had to cancel for personal reasons an hour later and sent them a message to that effect. Got a message the next morning saying they had taken my deposit. I replied that I had requested cancellation the previous night. Their response was that I didn't to do that… Read more

through Booking.com which I promptly did. When the deposit money was returned, there was about $30 missing, which Accomodated says is a non-refundable 2.9% charge from Stripe, and a further $5 'channel manager' fee, whatever that is, and both were embedded is some very obscure fine print. The company was extremely unsympathetic and downright rude. Will never use them again.

only one fan provided for the entire space. This made our stay particularly challenging during warmer days.

2. Window and Flyscreen Issues: Several windows either could not be opened or lacked flyscreens. Some flyscreens that were present had holes, making it impossible to ventilate the house without letting insects in.

3. Balcony Unusable in Rain: The balcony, which could have been a pleasant feature, was marred by multiple leaking spots, rendering it unusable during rainy conditions.

The most distressing issue, however, was the presence of bed bugs. On the first night, I noticed bites which I initially assumed were from mosquitoes. However, by the third night, it became evident that these were bed bug bites, confirmed by their distinct pattern and my subsequent physical reactions. Despite reporting this serious concern to the host, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. There was a refusal to acknowledge the possibility of bed bugs, even though I woke up with bites over several days and noticed small blood dots on the sheets.

The property's condition, combined with the host's lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to address serious concerns, made for an extremely unpleasant stay. I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider booking this property until these significant issues are resolved. For the price paid and the expectations set, this experience was far below acceptable standards.

Memorable, but for the wrong reasons – We booked these lodgings as it supposedly “accommodated” our large family of 11, and was priced accordingly. To be clear, there are 2 bedrooms. Others will sleep in the lounge room and sun room, so no closed doors / privacy. the couch. There is also only one bathroom where the toilet, shower and basin are in the same space so 11 people using the toilet, shower and brushing teeth was hilarious. All of this would have been taken with great fun (albeit overpriced) if it wasn’t for the service. Much of NSW leading up the weekend was declared a natural disaster zone due to flooding. I was catching the train with my family to Blackheath but there were 2 landslides right near Blackheath so trains were non-operational. My sister was also flooded in her residence. When we asked about our options considering the natural disaster if we were flooded out, it took days for a response and then when it finally came it was unhelpful and included a list of vague, questionable terms and conditions. There were also detailed cleaning instructions in the house, that were emailed again on arrival and again 24 hours before leaving that asked more of us than any other property I’ve stayed in before including threats of fines if we didn’t comply. I’m a regular traveller and I’ve never encountered service like this. Good thing we could laugh about it!

Amazing property, terrible contact – We booked the waragil cottage, the property was amazing, great area, cute little town, the beds all have electric blankets to help combate the cold in winter and the kitchen was fully stocked, though the knives are very blunt! that cost the same amount per night as a bed with your own room. They supplied a blow up bed, but the only room that was "semi" private to put it in was the loungeroom, which didn't have any room to place it. So my brother paid the same amount to sleep on a blow up in a public space as I did for a bedroom with a bed.

Apart from the property the company "accomodated" we rented through was not as great, they are extremely difficult to get communication from taking several days to reply to emails, or to call you back. They never answered their phones. Their cleaners seem to just sanitise and remake the beds and remove used linen, as they expect you to do all of the cleaning and scrubbing before you leave, including scrubbing the oven if used.

We would love to stay again in blackheath/waragil cottage, but are afraid we will not be using accommodated again.

Appalled and ripped off – Absolutely appalling, unethical and immoral behaviour. They advertise a property as «Free Cancellation», requiring pre-payment, and charing a ridiculously high credit card payment fee. Then contact you saying the property is no longer available, telling you that you can use the money already paid with them for another property, or cancel, then… Read more

they charge you ANOTHER ridiculously high card processing fee on the refund. Overall I am out of pocket $30 for something they advertised as free cancellation, and then withdrew from availability. They then won't respond to any communication via any means advertised. They pass on all risk and costs to the clients that they DON'T provide service to and bear no risk themselves.

I will NEVER use them again, and will actively warn everyone against them.

Owner – We enlisted Heidi and luke to manage our very successful property in the blue mountains. Long story short they charged us over $500 for a months linen hire avoided any questions when we asked about money avoided all attepmts to be transparent they would not breakdown charges or costs. out just over $150 after all their costs. When we mamaged the property it made 2 to 3 times the mortgage. They took us for a ride knowing we were moving interstate. Don't use this business. Tonight I received an email for a booking that was not cancelled from Feb when we ended our dealing with Heidi and Luke. The person was left with no where at the last minute. Heidi had actually said to me in writing that she would cancel this may booking because it was only 3 days and not 5 which is the minimum when an event in the area is on. Heidi and Luke lie, they stole from me and failed to provide any transparency about their business and how they operate. They wouldn't even show us that they had insurance. Be warned.

However, the managers of the property were the nastiness people i have ever dealt. via voicemail, saying they were going to take me to court and that I was lame. They also said they were the wrong people to mess with. I apologised and advised we would pay for the items. Instead, I got more threats advising to pay them over 2.5k immediately otherwise they would take matters further. They then left me a review stating we had broken more than what was actually broken and that i was the one that threatened them. When it came down to it, the estimate for the damage was significantly less than what they had said on the phone. They tried to charge an additional $50 just to empty a dishwasher! Once we had paid which we all agree was way too much. They then asked for more! We refused to be taken advantage of again. These people are vindictive and bullies. Unfortunately the damage from my review cannot be removed, therefore I am warning anyone to not book with Accommodated. You will regret it.

understand was the lack of professionalism and immaturity we were presented with when dealing with Accommodated. We had offered to pay for the damage immediately but then this group thought they would go in for a cheap shot and start throwing in items we had not damaged nor were even in the property. The messages and also threats they had given to us throughout this process was extremely unwarranted and also the worst property management service I have ever dealt with. Looking at other reviews here where holiday makers had issues they have also noted how abusive and unprofessional this duo is. Again, we understand that the damage that was caused was not fair but it was not intentional and we offered to pay for what we had damaged but the level professionalism we received was something out of a 1st grade classroom. As the title states - Avoid dealing with these people.

This was over three weeks ago, no communication has been received since after numerous emails and phone calls. We feel we were defrauded and have now reported this to the police and the tribunal. We feel scammed – Worst service ever. Owners are abusive, they advertised a property we liked. then when we paid our deposit got told its something different, ie the property was missing several things, kitchen not fully equipped, balcony under construction etc. We asked for a refund of our deposit and they are now refusing to refund it.
