I can get accommodation cheaper on booking.com when you take into account their yearly fee and the fact you can never get accommodation when you want it or in school holidays. Not worth the initial outlay or ongoing fees. No benefit to joining at all. Show details

The club properties are fantastic we have stayed in a few and have loved them and even gotten our value for money. However the customer service is terrible! I was interested in upgrading from a silver membership and spoke to someone initially a [Name Removed] who offered a platinum membership upgrade for $12G. Very happy with that deal so I… Read more

accepted. I paid $500 deposit then they were meant to take two more instalments of $500 for the deposit but never did. All year I continually had to chase this up and chase this up. I could never get onto the original sales consultant and it seemed to get passed over from one person to the next to the next. At the beginning they kept asking me to send through the same documents over and over again until I said wait a minute I have. They ended up opening up a bronze membership as well as my original silver membership. I had to chase this up again and again. Then they just open up a gold membership. At this stage I accepted it as I was done with chasing up and thought to myself 'oh well fine $500 for gold membership upgrade I'll accept'. Next they change my membership back to its original silver yet keep my $500! So back I go chasing up again and again for my $500 to be refunded. I ended up reporting them to the ACCC. Very poor customer service I don't know how they are operating, selling timeshare where they rely on member upgrades and work on commission.

Financial Harrasment - Accor Vacation Club - VERY POOR BEHAVIOUR – Travel regularly, not just at Accor hotels. Obviously stayed at an Accor at some point, signed up to their emailing marketing list, or their rewards program...not really sure which tbh. Received an unsolicited phone call, ( actually, numerous phone calls from someone Accor Vacation Club, pushing to get us on a discounted weekend away. Pricing was… Read more

attractive enough for us to squeeze a getaway into our already loaded business schedule. Sounded nice. "All you have to do, is give us 1hr30 of your time on Sunday afternoon to listen to a presentation". Sounds simple, and fair enough. Done ✅️

Had a lovely morning in Margaret River, and surrounding areas, but unfortunately during the day, my partner began to feel unwell, and by the time the presentation was to start, she definitely was not in any state to be participating in a presentation. At this stage, we were both still inquisitive, and interested in hearing what they had to offer, so I went to the presentation alone, at the required time. Within about the first 60 seconds of arriving, is where the Accor Vacation Club, pretty much showed their true colors, their style of "pitch", ( which borders on financial harrasment/bullying), and turned a couple who were interested, into now, not only not interested, but totally against anything to do with Accor from here on.

When I informed the Presentation team my partner was not well, there was absolutely no concern for her whatsoever. Immediately were very pushy stating "that both people on the booking MUST attend the presentation"! Even though i was annoyed with the lack of respect for my partners situation, I kindly suggested, that I am here, I am willing to listen to your presentation, and make any financial decisions, if neccesary. ( this is typical of our partnership, either one trusts the other to make sound financial decisions, no matter the situation) No...that wasn't enough for Accor Vacation Club....it must be both! The next question absolutely sealed it for me..." well how about we send an ipad up to your partner, and she can watch the presentation in bed?"!!

I was astounded, she is not well!...and you are so god damn hungry for our money, you want to jam an ipad under her face to listen to your presentation. I told the Manager...bill me now for the full price of the accommodation. Il pay the going rate no problem at all, rather than interact with these leaches.

Accor Vacation Club - you need to take a good look at how you pitch your product - financial harrasment and bullying tactics don't work with good people.

Potential Buyers - tread with ⚠️...also google Accor Vacation Club reviews.( I didn't, until the interaction described above...wish I had)

Ps. Venue was absolutely beautiful, Hotel staff were lovely, and 10/10! Just a shame they're associated with Accor Vacation Club.

Wasted several hours of our time – Disagree with how these “holidays” are sold and meant to make people feel like “owners”. Went to what was meant to be a 30-60min presentation… got held there for 2-2.5hrs despite telling them we were not interested and it was out of our budget. They tried to pitch a payment plan with 13.5% interest over 10 years and even said we had to pay pro… Read more

rata for “member fees” from October to Jan 2025.

We told 3 seperate people that we couldn’t afford it and they continued to bring in another sales person each time we said no. Felt very awkward and pressured and certainly feel they target people who don’t know numbers or finances well enough to make an informed decision.

Got told multiple times that we were lucky to be staying at our hotel… as per photos we disagree… things were broken and stained… so not sure how that’s a privilege??

Holidays galore – I absolutely love my Accor Vacation Club membership which I’ve had for 13 years and I take on average 40 nights a year in luxurious accommodation every time. As a organised traveller I have absolutely no problems booking accommodation and have just recently booked holidays at Coffs Harbour, Sydney & Twin Waters on the Sunshine Coast. I’m now… Read more

planning to travel to New Zealand & UK using my membership for 2025. Best part is when I checkout I only hand over my apartment key and NOT my credit card as no money is required to stay in club properties once you’re a member saving you absolutely thousands each year. Oh by the way, life happens and I had to cancel a few holidays with no issues with assistance from the clubs members services.

Just had a five day stay at Puka Park North Island NZ. The staff were fantastic. The room was amazing, very tranquil. Will definitely stay here again. My mobility issues were no problems to the staff who were always happy to transport us to and from our room when needed. Booking was quick and easy. Show details

You need to be organised and plan well ahead – I have two membership a Platinum and Gold Membership. You are wasting your time with a Bronze membership. I’ve been to most resorts in Oz and Bali. Never have a problem booking and fully enjoy the upmarket accomodation and locations. Don’t expect ever to book anything next month. I normally book 9-12 months in advance which allows me plenty of… Read more

Good value IF you use it – Yes the sales pitch is a hard sell but our family have used it a lot and had amazing holidays. There are different levels which might affect the experience. We started at gold after 10 years bought more points to become a platinum members meaning I can book 12 months ahead. Lower levels get what’s not already taken. The biggest benefit is… Read more

linking it to another time share type system called interval international. Transferring points to interval provides access to 1000’s of properties world wide. I’ve had the most incredible holidays around the world that we could never afford otherwise. Right now,2022, I’m staying at Basildene Manor in Margaret River for six nights at no cost in peak season. Others are paying $600 per night, very simple maths. My annual fees are $1100. We’ve done cruises, stayed in top resorts from South African game reserves and in the heart of New York, a block from Times Square. You have to know what holidays you want to do next year and book them well in advance. If you want to go somewhere next week or next month then your most likely wasting your money. If we had our time again, I’d do it again. The reason I looked at this forum was to see if I could buy more points cheaply off others who haven’t been able to navigate their way around how to use the system to maximise your benefits or opportunities. Looks like those points might be easy to find and cheap meaning I’ll invest further and have more holidays or book multiple units for friends and family. Know the product, be organised well in advance, link to interval international, if that’s not you then definitely don’t join.

I am a member of APVC -Australia-20+ years and also APVC Asia -9 years. scary how this mob start using threatening legal language straight off the bat-it is like transferring a mortgage. So I say to anyone- Don't do it! it is a trap! Then when the Asia APVC started getting harder to redeem points at Accor properties and then I tried redeeming transferred points to Interval, that was even harder -due limited choices- I found out that Accor sold these programs to Travel and Leisure Group with now -no priority access to the massive Accor group of hotels. So Accor have ditched the program themselves and It is now a complete waste of annual fees (that keep creeping up). The whole program is now in the toilet and the only time you hear from the "customer service teams" is chasing you for fees but try and book a property to redeem your points- you can't get a response for at times -weeks. It is now close to a sham and is certainly a rip off for what you pay out and what you get.

Please don't ever buy, you have to die to leave the scheme – Bordering on a scam. There is no way out of this scheme other than your death. And even then they try and pass it on to your living relatives. Admin fees of over $1200 per year that increase by $100/year. Rooms are never available. Please please don't fall for this.

Being harrassed to attend sales pitch meetings – When you've had your accor membership for a long time. And you book 4nights away the last thing you need is to be harrassed to attend a meeting that is purely a sales pitch to spend more money. To be harrassed twice in 2hours of arriving at sebel Busselton. NOT good enough. Harassing members needs to stop. The accommodation was really nice have been there many times but to be harrassed put a sour taste in my mouth.

We have been in the club since the beginning and while expensive it gives us the flexibility to book into superb accommodation in some great locations. We have used bonus time extensively to add to our holiday experiences at a lot less than we would pay if we were not members. It means we can go on holidays without worrying about the cost. We can with the yearly fees we are coming out on top

ACCOR is a Long term scam. Buyer beware – I agree with many others that trying to book on the website is a joke, nothing available or the rules of when you can and how much you can book are frustrating and result in not being able to book, when you want to. I tried multiple times waiting till midnight and still not available. No new properties makes this worse as members are trying to book a holiday with limited options of properties. Please save your money and DONT bother with ACCOR Show details

WHY IS THIS STILL LEGAL? – We ‘bought’ into Accor many years ago during one of their high pressure, ‘take-no-prisoners’ sales sessions. We were told so many lies … which of course we only found out were lies once the ink was dried. Booking 12 months ahead online at 12 again to book 6th august 2003 message came up .Note date and time as after this kept coming up took a screen shot. When checking in the morning again bookings gone. At all dates .Online and logged in at 12 . Highlighted accommodation about 1 second past midnight, ticked box and hit confirm booking time taken to do this about 5 seconds to send off booking confirmation. Takes about 60 seconds or longer to get response rooms no longer avaible. Had the same problems trying to get a booking last year. Got a call back as many members had the same problem last year. I can not try to book any earlier and getting up over a number of nights at midnight yet again this year and not being able to book this property is very frustrating. This property and area has a HUGE NEED FROM CLUB MEMBERS . Why does the club not get around to getting some other properties in the area to fill this need. As far down as jindabyne would why not being as good with location would fill this need or purchasing some of the properties on site to add to the number of places for the club to use. Accommodation is of a great standard when you can book it

Pushy, uncomfortable, fake – Got a discounted rate at Novotel Surfers Paradise, but had to attend Accor club seminar. Frank was over the top and just went on and on. He stated in writing he would accept a respectful “no” or “yes” at the end. When we said “no” he then called in the boss to try to persuade us to spend over $27000 a year. Felt very pressured and uncomfortable. Novotel accomodation was 2 star at best.  Show details

Worst decision ever – They just keep wanting money for a product we can’t use because of my husband’s health. The promises we were made when we joined were not delivered once they had our money. What we paid up front would have paid our accommodation costs several times over had we booked independently. Avoid this scam. Show details
