Fantastic Ace Rentals

Perth Airport. Hired Camry or similar and ended up with upgrade to near new Subaru Forrester which was clean and spotless. Arrived with Virgin. Shuttlebus arrived on our arrival to take us to Car hire depot. Check-in was quick and easy. Drop off was outside hours but easy. Only 5 minutes walk to Qantas. Going to Virgin would have required a taxi.
Overall, I couldn't fault Ace Rentals Perth. Show details

Charged me illegally

They had waived a drop off fee of $50 in their office, it was then charged from my account days later. Maybe they thought I wouldn't notice.

I originally wrote a great review for them, but be warned

I wrote a review saying how happy we were with the car and service. At the time I read the reviews were people had difficulty recouping their deposits, and other charges being made. Unfortunately, the same has happened to me. Months later, I'm still trying to get my deposit back from them. They don't respond to emails or calls. This isn't an oversight when I've now contacted them on multiple occasions. It's not a great deal of money, though that's not the point. The deposit should have been returned within 7 days as promised, not me chasing it up months later with no response from the company. Show details

well won't do it again

Paid insurance twice Hertz would accept Ace insurance in Launceston airport. Ace booked me a Hyundai I30 was given a creepy Kia Rio winch was really useless in the mountains! Show details

Good value

Search for an affordable rental at last minute. Ace came up tops with grey value when compared to top end companies, did not want to go to the rent-a-d*nt tuu you pw companies as you don’t know what you’ll get with them despite the low price . Needed an 8 seater for a five day trip in NZ north island. Recommend Ace any day Show details
