Addicted To Audio

Bought 2 covers for my older Astell and kern AK70 as Addicted to Audio had them to clear. I know this is and old unit now but I'm sure I can keep it going for years to come. Thanks to these covers it will keep the unit in good condition. Fast to send to me also. Show details ·  1

Once it was determined that the likely cause was a faulty PCB, the repair was assigned to Mike at Headroom. Throughout the process, Trent kept me well informed, including updates around a shipping delay for the replacement part. The communication and customer care exceeded all expectations. Mike personally came onsite to collect the turntable, completed the repair within just a few hours of receiving the part, replaced the PCB, and fully adjusted and recalibrated the unit. As part of the service, he even cleaned the underside and bottom lenses of the turntable. What impressed me most was the level of care and professionalism throughout. Mike returned the turntable the very next day, reconnected everything, and carefully re-levelled it on the shelf. From start to finish, the service from both Addicted to Audio and Headroom was outstanding. I would highly recommend Mike from Headroom, and the team at Addicted to Audio to anyone looking for knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely customer-focused support.

Addicted to Audio came through in the end, but only after I lodged a complaint with Fair Trading NSW. It's disappointing that it had to come to that, but credit where credit is due they did come through in the end and repaired the headset. Avoid Addicted to Audio at all costs.

Bought a pair of Audeze Maxwell's. About 1 year 4 months into owning them, the right side stopped working. Unfortunately for me, these were 3-4 months over the 12 month warranty (which is a JOKE for "premium" headphones.) But consumer guarantees should protect me right? Paying $500 for a set of headphones you'd expect them to last a lot longer than a measly ~16 months.

Interestingly enough, about 3 months before I purchased, Audeze (the manufacturer) changed warranty from 3 years to 1 year, and if you look online, this isn't an uncommon problem. Seems to me they knew something was up and are trying to "legally" wash their hands of any wrongdoing.

Have lodged a complaint with NSW Fair Trading.

Take your money elsewhere to retailers who actually care.

Terrible company as their policies are by far one of the worst Ive ever seen. After I finished I plugged it all back in and all light up as normal, BUT once I put a record onto the turn table and started plating , the right hand channel did not output any sound. after pressing the panic button and some trouble shooting It turned out the Phono Stage was to blame. Checking all connections (bare in mind nothing was disconnected from each of the components) eventually i got the right channel to work. I called in to the shop in town and was to some extent palmed off , OHH thats odd no idea etc , keep an eye on it and so on. Answer etc. Today during a listening session out of nowhere the right channel dropped out again, this time it was almost permanent except for some crackle and brief sound that come out from the right side. I was told to take it in to the appropriate warranty place to have it fixed. This is a product of about 7 months old with very little use, and all the good reviews etc it turns out to be a lemon. Im no stranger to hi fi and so on, But be aware when considering the Moon 110LP V2, It is interesting to note this item has been discounted by over 300 dollars, if its so good why such a massive price drop ? I am not a happy customer and at this age and small amount of use, it should have been replaced not fixed.

there was static through SPDIF, and the analogue outputs produced no signal. Because these faults were intermittent, I was worried my RMA request would be dismissed. [Name Removed] reassured me that it was still worth sending in and that the warranty team would consider the video evidence I provided.

When I dropped the unit off, I met Lewis in store. He was pleasant enough in person, but over email his tone was very condescending. He ignored the videos entirely, insisted the problem was user error (to put it politely), and even made a false claim that the unit was running outdated firmware.

[Name Removed] stepped in again and organised a replacement. While the replacement works, it was not a new unit. The packaging was damaged, which matters to me because I like to keep both the gear and the packaging in mint condition. The packaging I returned to them did not have a single tear in it. The replacement unit also had marks on the body and a cross on the top made with some kind of permanent marker that does not fully come off. Functional, yes, but not what I expect for the price I paid.

After spending thousands with A2A over more than a decade, this experience has made me think twice about buying from them again. Things were simply better when George and Guillaume were running the place.

My experience in visiting Addicted to Audio was excellent. Mat was very informative and provided many listening options bringing out different equipment to review. Addicted to Audio, and Mary in particular, were fantastic to deal with. Helpful, prompt, on point delivery, and amazing prices. my delight the owner replied on Xmas day !! He put an action plan in place that ensured we had a replacement a week later, all while their team were on holidays. The team were polite, responsive and super helpful, they even express posted the replacement. Amazing.

We spent hours in-store testing and were impressed with the service before we ordered, now we are blown away. Fantastic store, outstanding customer care, highly recommended.

This is the third time I've used them (for much more expensive stuff) but haven't reviewed before.
