Bendigo bank, now extinct. I tell Teachers Pensions the new account details. In advance. Security all good etc. Guess what. The man tells me thanks, no worries. Two months ago. All good. Guess what. No pension. The bank is closed. So not possible to go back. They are incompetent.
Follow-up · Useless. 95 Per cent of pensioners have expressed dissatisfaction. Teachers pensions uk can't find their way out of a paper bag. I phoned three times to get assistance and finished by asking for a document to be POSTED. Guess what no letter. This stretches back to November. A marathon runner would do uk to australia in that time. Still no letter or pension.
Follow-up · Bendigo bank bought Adelaide bank years ago. Could not wait for us to die off... Moved funds out to another bank as customer service at bendigo lower than Adelaide by far. Moved on

Selling out to Bendigo ..oh sorry migrating to Bendigo. Having been an Adelaide bank customer for 18 years and having great customer service and now trying to deal with Bendigo is a nightmare. I will write an independent review of Bendigo. Unfortunately, I will have to give them one star.
I absolutely regret being with this bank. For some unknown reason they removed their banking app, so you have to do online banking only. Money sent externally takes 1 to 2 business days to receive, not instant. Once my fixed loan is over, I'm transferring to another bank, regardless of interest amount. I hate being with this bank!!!!!!!!! Does not even deserve a 1 star.
On 20/5/2025 the RBA announced a .25 rate cut. Adelaide Bank website states that they will be passing on the .25 rate cut to homeowners. Not true... Adelaide bank only passed on .10 of the .25 rate cut. Don't go to them, find another bank. Show details
Please hurry up with your App! The online banking is like a fortress to get into, if it works at all and doesn’t say website unavailable. have had in place for a long time. I’ve given an extra star for the interest rate we got 3 years ago but if that falls short when we come off fixed we’ll be out! You’ve left your customers back in the dark ages.
Customer service aren't timely or helpful, it took them over 3 weeks to update loan length and then they still carried over the old rate another month. weekends. I have a strong suspension that they are manually entering transaction values in relation to loan interest payments, and t time reckon they have been prone to copy and past errors. and Overrall there communication on any fees or changes related to loans or accounts is non-existent.
Do not go with Adelaide bank. No app. You have to jump through so many hoops to get anything done. Wait on hold for 25 mins for them to answer. Inconsistent advice between staff. understanding of customer needs. Their processes are so backwards and obstructive to achieving anything. We are about to complain to AFCA and I suggest others do the same. As soon as our house is complete we will be refinancing with another bank unless we see significant improvements soon.
Poorest of poor – I’m disappointed I had to give them 1 star. First of all no mobile banking app, couldn’t get another offset account as “we don’t offer that option” The guy on the phone was rude and must hate his job. April couldn’t come fast enough I will be ditching the worst bank I’ve ever had.
The worst bank – Ridiculous bank and customer service. I could not be more disappointed with the “service” I received . Incorrect and inconsistent advice provided. Lack of support or willingness to find a resolution. Made false promises. Total careless responses and no follow ups. The online banking is archaic. I cannot wait to get rid of this bank and never have to interact with these people ever again.
Would give zero stars if I could – Not customer friendly. Unhelpful. Disappointed. Quite backwards in this day and age with their process of not being able to login in while overseas, without an Australian number. Even though I called before travelling to try to sort an alternative. They didn't give me one. Will be glad when I leave this bank. Archaic.
Look Elsewhere – Very hard to get a response from this bank or updates on progress. We refinanced with the Adelaide Bank over a year ago and decided to ask for 10k to do more renovations. 4 weeks later and still they keep asking for more document's. Worst bank in Australia – Worst bank in Australia. They have no app, a horrible mobile website, no payID, no Apple Pay, no data sharing and horrendous customer service.

Not a priority – This bank went downhill when Bendigo basically took it over. Their priority is not this bank and that’s because if you go to the Bendigo & Adelaide website the plan is to merge Adelaide customers into Bendigo’s system. Hence the ‘new’ app. They just haven’t been upfront about it yet. I have been with Adelaide for over 20years so I have been able to compare.
Great if you have the patience to wait five days for an account balance – I took out a home loan with Adelaide Bank because their interest rate was very competitive. I've regretted it ever since. Their online transfers and payments are soooo slow that I never know where I stand with my home loan. It can take five days for a credit or debit to show up in the account. And suddenly there is no app. They're just eliminated it. Welcome to banking circa 1972. Avoid this bank at any cost.
App retirement – Unbelievable in this day a bank retires there app prior to having a new one ready to go. Could imagine the backlash on any reputable bank doing this? Or any reputable bank just would not do such a pathetic move.

Absolute Disgraceful – Adelaide Bank do not care about their customers . Crap down their ap which was working fine . To make a new Ap which will take until the end of 2025 to be ready to use . Smart people keep the original working while making a new . Don’t wast your time with a useless Bank . ACA WILL BE GETTING A CALL ABOUT THIS and ANYONE ELSE I CAN THINK OF . Adelaide banking app debacle – They are retiring the app from 5 Dec however there is no timeline on the replacement until 'later in 2025'. Not an issue if you are in Australia but as I am travelling overseas for 2 months in early 2025 I am effectively locked out of my account as they require code to an Australian-based mobile when logging into online website. to ask them what I should do as all my home loan and banking is with this account as they said I need to ring each time from overseas for the code if I want to access my account. This is ridiculous as I'm not sure if they realise how hard it is to ring across different time zones from another country, wait in a customer queue line to get a code from the call centre to log in to check my account to pay a bill. Every single time. Not going to work. I asked if they could turn off MFA whilst I'm overseas but they cannot do that either. And no app. I'm now having to search for another home loan and refinance as this is beyond ridiculous and I'm effectively locked out of my money. Their best solution was to 'we can lodge a complaint for you' or 'you can call our call centre every time you want to log in overseas'. Not happy!
GARBAGE – Shocking customer service, banking experience from the 1980’s, transfers taking days to go through, iPhone app rudimentary at best. GET WITH THE TIMES YOU USELESS SODS.
Clunky - slowest transfers out and cash withdrawal limit can't be changed – 3+ days for transfers in and out. They don't have osko and there's a $2000 limit on cash withdrawal - this can't be increased at all. We have them as an offset account against our homeloan and will shift at the nearest opportunity. absolutely woeful, there's no app. It beggars belief it could be so bad in 2024. I also have an account with Bendigo Bank where the online experience is significantly better. If the banks are linked, why Adelaide doesn't use the Bendigo systems is baffling.

Still living in the 60’s – Wowser! Adelaide Bank has transported me back to the 1960’s. Their tech is slow and outdated. Can’t use Apple Pay, can’t change PIN via Online Banking, can’t view Cards on Online Banking, no PayID, no OSKO, their mobile banking app looks like a Year 6 student threw some boxes with numbers in there. it has is; funds, BSB/ACCOUNT # and date account opened. Oh and if you have a Home Loan it tells you what your LAST repayment was not what your NEXT repayment is. You know.. something one would like to know when Interest Rates are moving. If you have a Home Loan with them and attach an offset they charge $10 a month. No issues with the charge if their tech was at least from the 1990’s. Avoid at all costs.
Worst customer service ever encountered – I've had a number of mortgages with Adelaide bank over the last 7 years, but finally decided to close all accounts due to the extremely poor, and in some cases rude customer service. Terrible – Sick and tired of the customer service. My fixed rate period was ending, so I put in an application to fix it again two weeks before the original rate ended. They've sat on the application for two months now. They don't have straight answers for anything. Just keep beating around the bush, ask for a new application to be put in, refuse to fix the rate, ask for another application while the rates keep rising. Show details
Good – I like them - pain free and helpful. And they get back to you when they say they will! Highly recommended. good service and a nice range of products - you could do worse
Useless – Avoid to waste time with those people, absolutely useless bank.
