Block outProblem with my Virus protection blocking my access to my Australian Mutual bank account. On sending an email to the bank late in the evening the next morning I had a telephone call regarding my problem. With assistance over the phone, we were able to ascertain the problem was with my virus software and I was able to proceed with my transactions online. Problem solved.

Great experienceRecently look out a new home loan with Australian Mutual Bank. Great experience working with Faye. Excellent communication throughout and finance approved over the New Year period in record time. Best interest rate in Australia I could find. Further, I had an issue with switching to fortnightly payments after our loan was established. AMB followed this up and listened to my concerns and ended up issuing a loan variation. Great experience with RajinFirst time homebuyer and I had a great experience with Rajin from AMB. Good experience with the bank as a whole, but throughout a very difficult buying process with poor performance/communication with the sellers, solicitors, etc. Rajin was the one factor that was constant and very responsive. Despite some complicated issues that arose, a short timeline during the holiday period, and quite a few questions from myself and my wife, Rajin answered everything and I don't know if everything would have wound up working out without his help. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONSI called to arrange an increased daily funds transfer limit. I was told it was all done, I could proceed with my transaction. It wasn't. I called back the next day, again told it was done, it wasnt. I then requested a RTGS transfer as I was buying a property & needed access to the funds for deposit. Firstly the young woman had no idea what that was, never heard of it (sounded like a very very young woman). I explained I needed a transfer today, could she help as the prior person last week confirmed I would need an RTGS (real Time Gross Settleme... Read morent) ((I should add I am ex big bank staff & understand how banks move money)). The very young woman told me they can do a SWIFT payment "tomorrow". Apparently they only do 1 SWIFT transfer a day. Again I explained this was a timely deal & I required access to the funds today. Again she said we can do the SWIFT transaction to day but they will get the money tomorrow. Again I explained this wouldnt do, would she please ask a Manager or someone with some more experience than her to assist & I can make further enquiries with them. I was then told no Managers or senior experienced staff were availbale (This at 1.30pm in the afternoon), she then offered to have "someone' call me back "tomorrow". What part of " this deal needs to happen today" was I not clear about? By this time I had repeated myself more than 4 times. I was left on hold for around 3-4 minutes (long time when you're waiting) and when she came back to the phone again said, "We can do a swift payment & they will get it tomorrow, I'm sure it will be alright for your deal". Excuse me I said, umm, how many of these deals have you done, you sound very young & what makes YOU think you know how this deal works? Maybe you overstepped on that one young lady. I went on to advise that as far as I knew, I may be wrong, SWIFT transactions are used for Overseas funds transfers or at least they were when I worke din banking in years past. Could she confirm? I suggested that that isnt the way an immediate domestic large sum settlement happens, ie RTGS. She didnt know and apparently couldnt ask anyone. Great Customer Service & training of the staff. May I speak to the person you spoke to before? NO she said, no one is available. I then asked who did she speak to earlier? This was going no where fast. I then asked to increase the daily OSKO payment limit. Apparently this can't be done. No variatrions, no assistance to customers. Limit is $3k. Moral of the story. Every time over the last month I have needed to transfer larger sums of money I have NOT BEEN ABLE TO ACCESS MY OWN MONEY and several times in a row now I have had an experience much like todays. I AM CLOSING MY ACCOUNT. I have been with them since the were Encompass Credit Union - around 26-28 years. I'm done. Not a bank - a vault - cant get your $$ out Switch banks - I then called my other bank - you know the one, 3 letters N__. I asked them to increase the daily limit so I could transfer the funds I held there. No problem, large amount, immediate assistance. I then called my 3rd bank - called them, again done. Immediate assistance. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck. Bye bye Ducks, I'm leaving you to quack with each other. I know where the Eagles fly - without the turkeys. Tried and testedI have been with the bank for almost 40 years. During this time, I have had excellent, reliable service and, at one stage, assisted before a scam could take place. I popped into Rouse Hill this morning to organise a change in the account.

Two Weeks for a Personal Loan: How Long for a Home Loan ?1. 35 years with the CREDIT UNION.
2. All members of AMB I had dealings with were professional and friendly.
3. Just over 2 weeks to settle a personal loan for a few K, how would you lot got on a million dollar home loan ?
4. AMB processes are flawed;
a. Loan was submitted online as the branch at Hamilton was closed in recent times. Fine, but it took a lot less time to process a personal loan when the branch was there (about a week, tops.)
b. Loan was farmed out to a branch anyway (Bankstown)
c. The person who was handling the loan ... Read moreunfortunately went on sick leave for a few days. Okay this happens, but the file just sat there awaiting his return and wasn't picked up by another loans officer, etc. d. AMB is short staffed at this time of the year. Bosses, the days of 9 to 5 and public holidays even weekends are gone. I am a railway man - 24 hour operations - not saying a CREDIT UNION needs to do the same but everyone having holidays in January are over. e. B Corporation, overt political correctness and all your other kumbaya antics are grouse for all the morally pure, White Collar, woke children that infect the corporate world nowadays (great to copy the public service by the ways: efficiency plus) but you are forgetting the original CREDIT UNION ethos of helping out us Blue Collar working class blobs from Sector 7G. It is well noted in the workplace among us antient railway employees that AMB still has the old Railway Staff Credit Union head office in Surry Hills. Front and centre of woke central.

Outstanding personal serviceWe recently became members of Australian Mutual Bank in order to avail ourselves of their super competitive mortgage rates. However, the only thing better than their super competitive rates was the level of personal service we received. We submitted an online application on a Friday night and Saturday morning, Faye, our assigned credit specialist phoned. From there, she was our constant contact from application to post settlement. Faye quickly understood our objectives and was able to assist and kept us informed throughout - we never had to phone a call centre. Our experience was 10/10! Show details
