I have been led to believe that NEAR RED Infrared LIGHT is the best and most penetrating light source. How come Aduro mask does not have this,???

Hey Anita, this does have I believe 3 settings with infra red in it. Definitely recommend to give them a call so they can help you with the settings.

Is this an Australian company? If it is, I'd suggest that you should get together with the others who have experienced similar issues and take it to the ACCC .... If it has broken wires in the same places, then it's obviously a design fault, and as such, it would not be considered 'fit for purpose'. That is a heck of a lot of money for 3 faulty masks ... and that is just the ones that you know about. There are a lot of people who don't even know about this site, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are several more ladies or men out there who have experienced the same or similar issues. It sounds like they have used cheap wires, or poor workmanship because the wires don't seem to be soldiered properly. You could also take it to the small claims tribunal if all else fails, but just ensure that you document everything very carefully so that the company doesn't have wriggle room to thwart you if there's a chance of it going to Court. It costs around $80 or so to lodge the claim and have the document served, however, if/when you win, the company will also have to refund your costs. It might even be worth you all applying to the Small Claim Tribunal. It will certainly add weight to your individual cases if you can show copies of the others who have experienced the same issues. You are definitely due a full refund, at least! However, see what the Trades Practices suggest, because they may suggest (or you could suggest it to them) that you take it to a computer repair place so that they can diagnose the issue for you. However, I stress again, not to do anything to the masks or wiring before going to the Small Claims Court. I wish you all the best of luck. There are far too many companies doing dodgy deals and it's the young, the elderly, or those who just don't know who to turn to who end up paying for these scoundrels to behave in this manner. I think that they are just trying to fob you off because you are probably young women who needed something that worked. The people who have had good experiences have probably just had more good luck, rather than good management from the company.

I had this issue about 18 mths ago and ran into the same problem when the local agent did not assist in anyway . What I did was wrote into their customer service department at aduro Netherlands , the mother company. After sending them a copy of my invoice , they immediately send out a new mask to me .

I also had this issue - after 1.5 year I noticed that the green light wasn't working at all (as I didnt use it much I wasnt sure just how long it hadnt been working for) - not long after, the entire device stopped working. Unfortunately, my partner saw it was not working (I had put it back into the box ready to call about etc) - but he threw t out with the rubbish ! So.... i didnt bother calling them - but yes, I too, had the exact same problem and it was a big outlay (was actually a valentines day present) for such a faulty device. Best of luck ladies, I'd have loved to have received a replacement, but had no item for review.

I have exactly the same issue, the blue light is very temperamental. Tonight it decided not to turn on at all. I have written to them again ( several emails in the past complaining and also been fobbed off or not responded too). Mine is out of the 12 month warranty and I'm not sure what to do.

Hi Bree. Did you see the comment from 'She Love' above. She said that she wrote to the Netherlands head office and immediately received a new mask. Otherwise, see my Comment at the top of this page.

My wiring gave up as well years ago but I didn’t see this. Shopping around for a new one, but no reason to give Aduro another chance.
