After 2 different technicians called to fix our 3 year old Smeg dishwasher it was determined that the original diagnosis was wrong $335 and another $765 was quoted . Keep in mind a new dishwasher is $888 . In addition the office asked me again for a model number which had already been provided previously and when provided a second time couldn’t… Read more

identify the model number from the photo sent so had to waste more time researching and providing this for her . The second technician was more experienced than the first and identified that the powder dispenser was not the issue which the first technician had installed.

called Miele service centre to fix my dishwasher. Their next available service would be 3 weeks so told me about Master Appliance Service. Contacted them & they said they could come in 2 days- as we were going away I booked a time to suit. The lady I spoke to was very helpful & pleasant they sent sms to confirm & another on Sunday (booking was… Read more

Mon arvo) The mechanic was pleasant & diagnosed the problem. Replaced the part (which seemed a little pricey) & dishwasher was working again. Would recommend this company for service.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. They came to fix an out of balance error on my top loader washing machine. Technician replaced suspension rods, took 10 minutes, did a useless test at the end on a spin cycle without any laundry in the machine, didn't wait… Read more

for spin cycle to finish, then told me it was fixed. After he left I did a half load of laundry, when it got to the spin cycle, the dam out of balance error started flashing again. I immediately rang the office, to explain the situation, to be told the Technician couldn't get back for 2 days. This service cost me $361.58, for a service that was totally useless. The call out fee was $190. The Technician returned that afternoon because I kicked up such a stink. He removed the new suspension rods he installed and put my old ones back in, then left. I was reimbursed for the parts, but still got charged the dam call out fee, the whole day was an expensive and complete waste of time. The girls at head office were totally rude and kept overtalking me and not listening to the customer. ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY DON'T USE THEM THEY ARE TOTALLY USELESS AND WILL COST YOU A FORTUNE FOR A PROBLEM THEY CANT FIX.

Follow-up  · A quote wasn't provide. The Technician was useless.

Don’t use this company. They came to my house twice in order to repair my 3 year old dishwasher. I felt threatened and unsafe during the ‘call-out’ consult and reported this in writing. Zero apology for the way the technician gruffly spoke to me in my hallway and his borderline refusal to explain what the parts he ordered for my appliance were… Read more

intended for. A different technician arrived to ‘fix’ my dishwasher a week later and install said parts. He caused extensive damage to the appliance. Water leaked along the base of the front door on the first wash rendering the machine unusable. It had to be turned off within minutes. I reported to the company who eventually agreed to a full refund. Nil funds have been refunded. Each time I call to enquire (and re-explain story on repeat) - they insist funds will be in my account the following business day. This never occurs. After 3 weeks since my first encounter with this company; it is clear they have no care about whether or not they repaired or entirely ruined my appliance. They additionally have not provided a refund.

No show. Twice – Very dissappointed at the lack if service received from Sydney City Appliance Repairs (directed here from the review link on their website). Whilst operator/agent [Name Removed] was quite helpful on the phone, there was nothing following that. I took two days off work and the technician did not arrive - no call, no text. When following with [Name Removed] there seemed to be no way for him to notify me either. Super disappointed. jP

Did not diagnose problem. Recommended wrong part. Poor customer service – The Master Appliance Service 'technician' came out to look at our faulty water dispenser on our Electrolux fridge. WITHOUT using any tools or even testing the part (with a multimeter for example) he basically repeated the fault back to us – your water dispenser is not working and charged us a service call. We were then later advised by them that… Read more

the part (Refrigerator Water Valve replacement solenoid) that we required was 'not available' and their customer service lady said we did not supply the fridge model number (isn't that their job?). The part IS available from various suppliers, but not through their regular supplier. Pretty sure a generic part would also fit as they are made by a third party manufacturer (USEONG in China for many brands of fridge). We asked Master Appliance Service to source the part for us but they failed to do so. What's more that part did not turn out to be the problem after all, so we asked them to take another look at it and they declined to do so (there are two switches that control the water and they identified the wrong one). Bottom line is they charged us $150 and were no help whatsoever and would not take responsibility for their substandard and incorrect diagnosis... I would NOT recommend the company for their lack of ability and really poor 'customer service'. AVOID and use ELECTROLUX or someone else instead.

Service you hope for and receive – The fix on my dishwasher required two visits (only on call-out fee however). The first for diagnosis and to get the machine working. The second to fit the part. The same serviceman attended both time and was friendly and helpful and even tolerant of the overview of his work provided by our 14 week old pup!

Well worth it! – Peter was fantastic in repairing our Miele dishwasher. He went above and beyond to get our dishwasher out and he answered all my questions along the way. He was very patient and pleasant to deal with. Would highly recommended and would not hesitate to call on again!

Excellent – Rang to book in a service repair. Call answered immediately with a freindly person who was willing to help. This was sooo refreshing as none of the others called were worth the effort.

Completely dissatisfied with service call. Technician had ‘never seen this problem before’. I advised him that I didn’t want to pay more than the 30m $199 call out charge just to be told my 10yo Miele dishwasher needed to be replaced. He spent half the 30m on the phone constantly repeating the problem to someone else but getting nowhere. It was… Read more

clearly a dishwasher computer issue which he needed his computer to reprogramme but this was in the car so more time wasted. After 30mins I asked if the reprogramming was working. He didn’t know this or even how long it would take to find out. A complete waste of time and money. Would never use this company again.

IKEA Mirakulos built-in pyrolytic oven 6 years old, out of warranty, shared circuit with induction cooktop was tripping at switchboard. MAS contacted and service technician attended site. MAS advised(after 10 minutes) that problem may be a faulty circuit breaker and electrician should be contacted prior to further diagnosis by by MAS. Advised MAS… Read more

that switchboard only 12 months old. Regular electrican attended site and found no problem with circuit breaker. Electrician undertook tests and found that cabling from rear fan to circuit board had a short to earth(problem). MAS revisited site(included in initial fee) and confirmed multiple issues/suggested replace oven. Lessons learned: 1. If appliance has problems out of warranty...get a new appliance. 2. Do not call MAS as their ability to problem solve/provide an accurate diagnosis is questionable.

Taken advantage of – My dryer was diagnosed with a false issue and therefore quoted $455 for a ‘repair’. After months of not using the appliance, it was discovered that it had no fault at all and was just locked through the settings. A TECHNICIAN should have recognised this.

Avoid Master Appliance Service at all costs – total rip-off! – I recently had a truly disappointing experience with Master Appliance Service, and I feel compelled to warn others about their outrageous pricing and lack of professionalism. My dryer had a broken belt, something I already diagnosed myself before calling them. I only needed someone to confirm and fix it. When the technician arrived, he did… Read more

exactly what I told him the issue was - opened the dryer and confirmed the belt was broken. For this “service,” they charged me over $220! That’s right, over $220 just to tell me what I already knew! To add insult to injury, the technician didn’t even have the part with him. He told me they would need to send a quote for the replacement belt and the labour to install it.

When the quote finally came in, I was floored. They wanted to charge me $418! $170 for a replacement belt and the rest in labour. Are you kidding me? I went online and ordered the exact same belt (a genuine manufacturer part) for half the price they quoted and installed it myself after watching a quick YouTube video. It took me less than an hour!

Master Appliance Service is nothing but a scam operation. They gouge customers with ridiculous prices for minimal effort and seem more interested in making a quick buck than providing honest, reliable service. Save yourself the headache and your hard-earned money—go anywhere else for your appliance repairs!

Thieves - Come out and charge, not fixing the problem – 2 x visits and 2 x Invoices later for over $500 to fix our dishwasher and they said it wasn't their job to clean the dishwasher. Terrible service. They said the machine is fine to use again after a part change and it clearly isn't.

Terrible service and they never fixed my washing machine – Absolutely terrible - wish I had never come across this organisation. On booking ~2+ weeks out, I was assured an AM appointment was no problem. Day arrives (took the day off work for the repairs to be done) and I waited till about 1130 for the technician to arrive. When I called the office to try to find out when they would turn up I was given… Read more

all the attitude and no assistance without having to ask. Also, 12:30 is considered AM now - just in case you were confused.

The tech arrived at 12:45 - had no idea what the problem was and charged me an outrageous price as per their price guideline. Said that I should just call again for a return visit if it didn't work. The machine failed that afternoon when I attempt to do a load of washing after he left. When I called to complain the attitude of staff was - "are you around tomorrow?" (because clearly you have free time and are not working). Anyway new booking for the technician to return was made. They were late the second time (turned up at 6pm instead of 4:30pm) - still not able to repair the machine but would get back to me. A week later - no word from Master Appliance Service. So I went to Bosch, who helped me find a technician who could repair the machine. When I complained to Master Appliance Service about my experience, they did not care and offered no apology or refund. Horrible experience.

I forgot to mention that they send me a bill for the return visit, when I raised that issue with the company along with the machine still not being repaired, no plan/quote provided on how to repair the machine and nil contact (except for the bill) from the company. I was told that bill was automatically sent because the technician hadn't settled the account (?so an error) and they would waiver it (like they are doing me some kind of favour??). I wonder what would have happened if I had not written asking about it? Anyway - no apology or care. An expensive waste of my time.

1st Class Service and Technical Advice – Our fridge started leaking water just before Christmas Day. I called seven different fridge repair companies advertising for our area. Rude and offensive staff, negligent treatment – I had a technician call for dishwasher. He told me a part was needed, he would order it, contact me when it came in. After 2 weeks, I called them. They had done nothing. Person on the phone was rude and offensive, hung up on me. Total disgrace. I will never use these people again, and would advise you to avoid them like a plague.

Great communication and even reinstalled our whole dishwasher so it was even with the cabinets! Could not recommend Peter enough, thank you again!

Great service – Peter not only fixed my fridge (iced up cooling coil), but went further to find why - the drain was blocked with ice too. A previous tech from another company just deiced the coil and left it at that.. Would recommend Master Appliance Service any day.

[Content Removed], don't use – Had them come out to repair dishwasher. Charged me nearly $300 for call out and time, and quoted me nearly $700 in repairs, suggesting all the movable washing arms and door seal needed replacing. time anyway. I'm now out nearly $400 and back to square one, dishwasher still not repaired. Their response to the fraudulent quote of $700 in parts not needed, "too bad, call someone else". Thanks Master Appliance for wasting 1 month of my time, charging me $400, and not providing me any service.

technician did not arrive nor communicate cancellation/ postponement, and rude customer service – My booking was not upheld, and I did not receive any form of communication that it was cancelled or postponed. On Monday morning I called to request that, if possible, my booking be pushed out as late as possible that afternoon (booking… Read more

was scheduled between 12:30 and 5:30pm). This is because I teach and would only be home by 3:30. I was told that it was a big ask, which I understood, but if at all possible, I would be most grateful. I said I could get my neighbour to assist, but was told I needed to be there. I was told to reschedule if we can’t work it out…. when I said I had been without a machine for 3 days now, I was told I could also do hand washing.

To be clear, I had hand washed and used the laundry service that weekend for necessities such as school uniforms, if I had time to hand wash I wouldn’t be so desperate to get my machine fixed. I am very time poor, as most people are, and quite honestly the last thing I have time for is hand washing, that comment was totally unnecessary.

I was disappointed with the call centre service and that no one called to cancel or reschedule my appointment, especially since I rushed home from work to wait!

No Phone customer service idea – Couldn't review on the work as I couldn't get past the attitude of the receptionist. She expected me to know when the technicians worked, the hours they held and the time frame that they worked on jobs as any question I had was met with a "O My God" !! Friday has not come early enough for this one!!!
