So Unaustralian...steal my australian people money – Paid them for a course and call them but no answer and they are so disgraceful after 1 month they sent an email about them closing down..attempted to call them but no answer
Terrible – Was 75% through completing my Cert IV in WHS and they went into liquidation! Had spent hours and hours completing it, and was close to finishing, all that for nothing, no cert and no refund. Before this happened all appeared OK, but that's no good now.

Highly recommended – Just completed my certificate IV in training assessment, couldn't be happier with the material and service I received especially for the price. My trainer was always quick to reply with any questions I had along the way. No hesitations in recommending.

Terrible – I am another that has been caught up in this. Paid to complete two cert IVs via PayPal but was over 180 days ago now so my loss. The old saying "too good to be true" was the case in this case as these courses were just too cheap! Should have known better!

required evidence - that I have subsequently flew through with a reputable RTO. Pity the reputation of the training sector has been sullied by this incident.
Disappointing – I got my money back thankfully after disputing on paypal. I believe you have 180 days to do so. I couldn't get responses to any emails or calls. Good luck everyone in getting your money back. Very sad this has happened to so many innocent people. Shame on him!!!

completed work was declined due to it being full of errors. I found the template unpredictable and I questioned myself all the way through that if I didn't already know something about WHS that this unit would be impossible to those learning it for the first time. (Set-up in a way to easily fail). I returned an e-mail to Advantage Training advising that I felt that I was being penalised for early completion. I received a negative/rude response and was advised that all the answers are in the study materials provided (Tutorials) and should go back over my work. No nice friendly help. My daughter also signed up for Cert IV HR (I think) and it was crazy impossible for her as a young person to complete. She had to run mock interviews/senarios etc and film them and send to Advantage Training which she found over- whelming (hence dropped out). It looks as though by the comments listed I'm one of the lucky ones who got my Cert over the line. I would not of gone back for any more courses even though the price was good.
Ripped off!! – Signed up for the Leadership and Management course in July 2016, have been working on it in my spare time (whilst working full time). Just one unit to go, before submitting all the units for marking and then I received the email of the liquidation of the company! Tried a dispute claim with Paypal, which was denied.
Poor management – I put in my paperwork for a refund and have not heard anything. I enrolled and paid for two cert 4s. Strangely, their website is still running and taking applications! I'm sure they are taking payments too. This company is acting unethically and, I'm sure, on some level illegally too.

I was in contact with Department of Commerce - Consumer Protection and they called me today 14/03/17 advising they were in liquidation. If you didn't pay via paypal you should get onto the liquidators asap to try get something back?!..
Another victim of advantage training – I sent my assessment in for marking and it was returned saying I needed to resubmit it all. Plus pay for another two months extension. I didn't get the u/tube tutorial until I complained that I was in NSW not WA. I suffered a stroke after trying to redo the whole course in 2 months. We all need to send complaint to WA equivalent to NSW department of fair trading. It's fraud.

If you were a victim to this course provider, as I was, please report your experience to the following ACCC institution. They have said that they will act but the more evidence they get the better. There are many of us in the same boat, with hundreds and thousands of hours of study wasted with no assessment or certificate or refund to speak of. satisfactory resolution. We all deserve an explanation. I would not recommend any RTO that pulls the rug out from under any of its students.
report to department of fair trading – Any students trying to get a refund must report to Department of Fair Trading. We are legally entitled to a full refund. Once they have a certain number of legitimate reason complaints they can escalate it and hopefully get a refund. Hurry up before the company claims bankruptcy!
Time to act – I got a rant of a reply email from [Name Removed], when I emailed him and ccd in the training provider he recommended to me, the ACCC and the ASQA. provider, how it was a hard time for them, how he wouldn't be responding to any messages. I did not abuse him by voicemail or email I just wanted a reply which is not an unreasonable request. When he doesn't reply to people what does he expect. It takes only minutes to reply to someone. No sympathy for [Name Removed] he was responsible for its failure. What about all the people who spent thousands of hours studying and nothing. Before they went bust I also got a phone call from a woman trying to get me to submit what I had done. It sounded odd and stunk of a rat so I said there is no requirement for me to submit this I have 7 months left. On reflection she was obviously trying to get me to submit so she could deduct money off the fees I paid. The fees I paid were cheap. The hours of time I wasted I can't get back. I looked him on abn lookup. He had another company before and has only been in business for a short period of time. I also googled his name in "[Name Removed]". What did [Name Removed]expect he took our money and stole our time there's a price to pay for that. If he tries to skip town like every other dodgy RTO we should all unite. This is happening far too often with RTOs, and people have the right to be angry.
To gain a refund – I am in the process of trying to get my $$ back. If you used a credit card to pay you may be able to get the charges reversed by your bank as the services paid for were not delivered. I now understand why the courses were so cheap. Get people to sign up and keep their money. Terrible communication.

tutorials which I found helpful. Cut a long story short I submitted everything at the end of Jan and expected to hear back this week (14 days to assess workbook apparently) only to get that bloody email about the RTO closure.
March 21st 2017 Update: Silver lining at the end of a very dark cloud
Just to show my support for those who have been screwed over by Advantage Training. I was one of the unfortunate ones and had worked my backside off to complete the cert IV in WHS in a month, on the week I was awaiting feedback on whether i had passed I got the news that they were closing. I like many others chose to transfer to AIWT who in all honesty have been great and really understanding, they are not associated with Advantage Training and they were quite adamant of this from the outset, I don't know the specifics of the arrangement but from my own experiences with them I have nothing negative to say. The Director [name removed] has been great and the Assessor has responded when I have queried anything. I received confirmation today that I had passed so there is a silver lining for those in a similar position. I paid an additional 750 dollars for my workbook to be marked but the alternative would be to sack it off altogether or pay 2000 dollars with another reputable training company. Just a final note to say good luck to everyone out there either getting their work marked or requesting a refund. My family and I emigrate next year from the UK so this qualification is something else to tick off the To Do list!
Terrible – I enrolled in Jan to have this RTO Shut down. [Content Removed] poor students who barely have enough money to live. Please report to ACCC, Dept of Commerce Western Australia to ensure this man does not start another RTO and rip off innocent students again. I foolishly didn't use my paypal account and paid via bank deposit.

They had a promotion to get quick cash! – They had a promotion last month. (Jan 2017) So I applied in the end of January. It was quite cheaper than usual price so I assume many people applied at the time. However, I feel that they may had decided to close the school at the time, But they kept getting quick cash from poor students ( including me...) I keep checking this website and see what will happen. How can we get refund from PayPal? I paid them by PayPal...
Moving forward, got my diploma in the end – Hi, i have had a previous good experience with Advantage Training Australia, I myself was on a review of the Diploma of WHS with only a few answers that needed to be looked over, I have made contact with the new RTO advised & done some research on the RTO & it is a legit provider, as per the legal process in closing a RTO all i can say this is the correct way to move forward. I know a lot of people are annoyed as i am in the same boat.

work for the last 8 months recognised - um no thanks!! there was a second option to get a refund but you'd only get money back "that hadn't already been spent".
The most furious part is I had a call from First Advantage a week prior asking how things were going, I said I would be handing my workbook in the next week or so and they said it was fine. Why couldn't they have told me that they were closing down?? I would have gotten it in that day. In fact, why couldn't they give any of us a couple of weeks notice?
I am liaising with AQSF and Fair Trading as it is appalling that RTOs can operate like this.

I wouldn't be surprised if this company is linked with the more expensive company who will "kindly" recognise the work I have done. I've been sending emails but no reply. Avoid like the plague! Do not touch! – After even less than a month they have declared that they can no longer supply the course required. They have also said that you have to ask for a refund in writing, make of this what you will: I believe this is a stalling tactic. Then they ring to confirm you've received it. Then they say they can't actually provide the course, scoop up the pro rata and refund the rest. I have an open case with ACCC at the moment and will provide further details to protect other consumers.

Terrible – They sells course at a low price and then sends you an email stating they are no longer able to supply the course and that another supplier can take you on as a student and are offering a 20% discount on their prices to transfer you over. So now going to be charged more. If you want a refund to contact them by this date, which is yesterday's date.
Angry! – I too received an email this week stating the company is shutting down. I am 7 months into my course. I believe a full refund should be given as no contact from tutors and you can't hand in assessments until all units completed. Waste of my time and money.
Infuriating – Completed 8 out 10 units in my course and then the emails as others have stated on top of this l spoke to other providers of my course to be told that l would have to start from scratch again as they can't assess the units l have done and to add further insult the recommended training organization that advantage training direct us to will assess my units for a fee of 750$ pretty dubious in it self

With this course I was to submit all units once I had completed them. Feeling pretty angry right now! I believe I should be entitled to a full refund. I think we all should! I totally understand that this kind of thing happens BUT be fair to those that trusted you and paid for something. I certainly am not getting what I paid for. I don't want to hear that we got the courses at a very heavily discounted cost, it was offered so I signed up, Advantage Training offered that reduced cost!
