To say they have zero customer service is generous. Their parent company, NAB have a stated policy of making interest rate changes on the day of RBA meetings and applicable within ten days. This clown outfit of a financier may be owned by NAB (and every second person uses a NAB email address), but the circus that is Advantedge is determined to… Read more

extract as much money as they can from the customer. Indeterminate on when they ,might make a decision to cut rates. And if they do, make it applicable up to 7 weeks from when the RBA met and cut. They should not have a financial services licence. And NAB should disband them and fold them into the bank before they do themselves any more reputational damage.

Worst financial decision of my life – I organised a hardship arrangement in October due to a change in circumstances. The arrangement was agreed for 12 weeks, but eight weeks later they started taking funds again. I was told "The system does not make mistakes" then it was finally discovered that they set the arrangement up wrong. Took WEEKS to sort this out and literally HOURS of my… Read more

time.

On top of this the new arrears figure that they gave me does not match the arrears figure that was originally calculated and agreed to. I was once again told "The system does not make mistakes" (literally those words, after admitting repayments had been restarted on the wrong date). I recalculated the amount multiple times with the person on the phone, and they were unable to tell me where the discrepancy was. I was told I would receive a call on a certain day by a certain time to go through the arrears calculation and determine the exact correct amount, this call never came - when I rang them, the person was not at work that day (WTH would they arrange a call then????). I then went overseas on a work trip which they had been aware of for weeks... I left three messages by phone and sent three emails directly to the person I was dealing with, none of these were responded to until a week after I had left (about 10 days after it had been arranged that they would contact me).

I responded to advise that I was still not happy with the calculation of the arrears, and that I wanted them to show me their side of the calculation. The calculation that they did give me did not make sense, and I needed it explained. I was unable to deal with this due to patchy internet in the remote area I was staying, and I requested a timeslot for a phone meeting with the person that I was dealing with and an extension of the hardship period since I was unable to deal with this. It has now been 2 weeks and I have heard nothing. Repayments started again and I am now in SEVERE hardship due to this company's complete lack of communication and their inability to respond or even do their job.

I am currently suffering severe financial hardship and severe emotional distress due to this company's failure to communicate, and it seems I will have to take legal action if I return home to discover that my credit rating has been affected by this. I have wasted literally DAYS of my life trying to deal with this incompetent company and they are just running me around and around in circles. Customer service is rude and refuses to pass messages on to the person who I am told I HAVE to deal with... I am unable to deal with anyone else, she has taken the case on personally but only works half of the week and will not set appointments, so I have no choice but to sit and wait while nothing gets done.

I will not recommend AFG home loans, Advantedge, or any other NAB subprime spin-off company to anyone, not even my worst enemy. This is by far the worst financial decision of my life and it has taken the shine of the purchase of my first house, I am literally posting the property for sale now as I cannot refinance to a competent lender (due to my change of circumstances) and this company is doing its absolute best to bankrupt me.

Reliable and Responsive – For nearly a decade, I've entrusted my loan to Advantedge, and my experience has been consistently positive. Whenever I've required assistance, they've responded promptly and with genuine helpfulness. Despite the mixed reviews, my personal journey with this bank has been nothing short of satisfying. Show details

Customer Service – My home loan has been carried by Advantedge for 10 or so years. My view is that customers should be contacting their lender or their mortgage broker (not Advantedge) for account and services related enquiries. Simple loan and happy with – Not as 'snazzy' as my last lender (RAMS) but the rate is significantly cheaper and I am saving a lot of money. Internet banking is a bit old-fashioned looking but does everything I need (transfers, balances etc). If an old-looking internet banking platform means I save thousands a year, I'm all for it. Avoid using this service at all cost – They are not transparent, do what they want to do, perform credit checks without consent, coerce money out of you that is not theirs when you sell one property, they blackmail money from the sale to put against the other loan even though you are financially in a better position. Do not use this lender. There is a reason they only get a 1.5 start rating. Show details

JUST DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME. EXTREMELY BAD EVERYTHING – In 2018 I refinance to this financier and received the worst experience ever. They are seriously making money from their clients. No offset, takes 5 days to clear your… Read more

money which they direct debit (industry standard by the way is 3 days max) so they must be using clients funds in the market to make a profit for themselves whilst charging you more interest. Even today's refi to another bank was not met after they confirmed pexa settlement with my new bank. My new refinancier could even get a response as to why they didnt show at settlement!!! I was told by them last week they were ready to go if given 2 days notice - they had over a week!!!! Not only has their lack of action or accountability impacted me but I wouldn't be surprised they will now charge me interest for their fault and for loans I shouldn't have with them after today.

I have lodge a complaint but will not hold my breath as they are incompetent with anything they do.

I could write 10 pages about their ridiculous poor excuse as a lender and I am amazed they have not been reported to the Ombudsman many times for investigation. They are a complete circus full of clowns and with magicians performing cheap magic tricks. I have lost more money than gained with Fastlend. If I had my time again I would never have chosen them and nor could I honestly recommend them to someone else to go through absolute torment of dealing with their sparcly existent sevice teams (not available on weekends or after 7pm weekdays) or their completely incompetent staff in other areas who tell you things which deep down you know will most likely not happen without constantly you follow up. Every other service they have speaks loudly for itself as being 3rd rate and severely frustrating. Try logging on to their website - think I have lost days of my life if I added up the time and its not my internet service either if your asking but their poorly constructed website which is limited and time consuming.

If I could give a 0 I would, so my 1 represents 0.

Confused they cant seem to grasp the overall concept of advice on your loan. My last loan was held up due to inaction, this time they dont even confirm receipt of information or instructions over emails. Over the last few years since it became 'advantage' Ive been astounded that they have my entire life savings is in the hands of pretenders with ego and are so unprofessional making constant mistakes. Atrocious – I used this company Advantage which is owned by NAB, through a broker scheme and PLANLEND. Years after I refinanced and left, I was then slowly sent letter after letter, of them over charging me during my years with them. Their response in ripping people off and the impact that it caused was pathetic. Then even after contacting them to get my money back, they ignored the responses and postponed the refund for more months. Use at your own peril. Show details

Poor customer service, worse on leaving them – Fastlend (subsidiary) were recommended by broker. Made me jump through more hoops than was remotely reasonable. 18 months down track, I requested to increase mortgage from 70% LVR to 78% LVR with 100% on-time payments. the house and payed out mortgage, but wait they took an extra mortgage payment and now tell me it'll take 15 business days (21 normal days) to refund the money.

I rang them twice and got quoted the same spiel. My reply to them was would you guys wait 15 business days for an overdue payment?? They replied of course not.

There's way better out there.

Update 6 weeks down the track, I received my refund two weeks ago after complaining to financial ombudsman. I requested compensation via my complaint, within two weeks I received adequate compensation for my grievances. Highly recommend making a complaint as this gets action very promptly.

Theft – My home loan is through Plan lending/Advantage and they never answer their phone or emails. I have been trying to contact them for 2 months as I'd like to refinance my loan. They are happy to take large sums of money from me but don't have the decency to speak to their clients. I'm stuck....I literally don't know how to get through to them. Completely unsatisfactory. No customer service – Just another one of those companies that refuses to answer the phone or respond to emails. If you value customer service then look elsewhere. Just ok after being with them for nearly 10 months, long waits on phone - email is better – Been with Advantedge for almost 10 months and it's been ok. Interest rate was one of the best for us and we were only seeking a basic mortgage with no add-ons. I think it's a no frills mortgage company so don't expect extras. as long as it's not an emergency. When I do get a response (phone or email) then staff are polite and helpful.

Gave 3 stars as the response time could be faster, the internet setup when logging in could be a bit better, and our current rate could be better but it is still a competitive rate and we haven't really had any issues. Previously had mortgages with BankWest and ING and both were really good. I would recommend Advantedge to anyone who wants a basic mortgage but doesn’t have high expectations.

Absolute Crap and worthy of a AFCA complaint – Like a few reviews down - sold block of land (they had 2 as a combined collateral) - sold one and they demanded that all funds be paid off the 4 separate loans.
