I’ve got probably the exact same issue. Genuine Toyota loom and lights stopped working. I found the problem to be at the relay with the red and orange power cables burnt for 50mm and the relay burnt out. I have just bought a new 70 amp relay and am going to relocate it to the engine compartment instead of the loom behind the glove box. Done. Not sure if the relay contacts were at fault or the connections to the relay. Lights working great again.

No I was asking if kings had any available. Mine broke after about 4 days of corrugations. Not really happy as the lights themselves are pretty good but now only worth a trip to the bin

Unfortunately that I don't know. Might be worthwhile taking broken brackets to a welder which is what a mate of mine is doing. Sadly, Kings LEDs have a habit of breaking brackets. Poor quality Chinese work!! All the best.

Hi, I have a similar problem - broken bracket. I live on a dirt road so can’t avoid corrugations and vibration. Lights are fantastic - extremely bright; but they vibrate severely compared to others I have had so I wonder if all the problem is in the brackets. Would it help to mount them over eg rubber washers in future, if I purchase another set?

Hi Nat. Suggest you contact Kings Adventure. An alternative is to locate a metal fabricator who could make up new brackets. This is something that the owners of the Prado I borrowed are chasing up, as both brackets broke clean off during a trip I did with the vehicle in August. Thankfully, the bungee cords I had strapped on prevented the lights from becoming road kill.

Thanks Andrew - hubby has secured with zip ties until we can locate new brackets.

Cannot say for certain without seeing, but the connectors may be able to be changed, the critical thing is that the LED lights do draw significant load and all the sparkies I have spoken to about my lights are advising 2 relays (one for each light). IE. You should check if what is there can carry the load of 2 lights even if you change connectors. My lights remain unusable as I have yet to find time to get vehicle into an auto electrician to have completely new harness made up.

Hi Ian, I would suggest having a chat to your Toyota dealer where you bought the item from, we advertise our wiring harnesses to come with H4 & HB3 headlight adapters which are the most universal fit for most vehicles. You may need to check your vehicles user manual if you require different adaptors to wire the lights, however please be mindful you might be voiding your warranty with Toyota so I would suggest contact them for more info! @Ereal if the "sparkies" you have spoken to seriously think that a single relay can't handle 16a then you should steer well clear of them before blaming Kings.. Those so called sparkies clearly have no idea what they're talking about, or they're trying to make a nice quick buck from you.. seriously you can just google to find higher rated relays in about 30 seconds. I swear some sparkies must pull their licenses out of cornflakes boxes, then preach their beleifs like its fact even though they dont know wtf they're talking about..

Hey Peter, Sometimes if the wiring harness is too close to the radio it does create interference, in these cases, you just need to try and re-route the loom away from the radio. Alternatively, you can get what is known as a Ferrite Sleeve or Ferrite Core from most electronics stores, these would go over and prevent interference from the radio antenna. Thanks, Anna

Hey Whitney Looks like Saleha beat me to it. However they are right and its included (wiring harness) in their current special offer. Your 12v 40 amp will work though. PS I dont work for Kings, just enjoying this light though. Cheers

I would always use a relay when installing spot lights. Running a wire with high current draw to the switch does not make sense to me. I had a bad experience with ARB spot install previously and used Toyota for our 2017 LC, with OEM harness; has worked perfectly since install and looks neat in the cab with genuine switch. Nearly 3 years on and still more than happy with these lights but I see there is a new model now.
