for a discount. But I didn’t had any discount for the cruise and he put pressure on me regarding timing and the possibility to do it “it’s only once in your life, there is only 3 places available”. Then I booked for the whitsundays 3D/2n at 589$. My surprise and confusion were huge when I saw that I could do it for only 350$... (and I’ve met a women on the boat who paid that price). And even less if I went there less time... Not fitting to what I wanted or needed, obviously you need to be prepared to be pressured and be sure about the real price ! and could open up the trips even more. We booked Whitsundays sailings trip, uncle Brian's one day waterfalls trip and one day diving trip to the great barrier reef. The trips were all amazing and worth the money ! One of the vouchers was open dated and we only had to contact Milla and she booked it for us right away when we wanted ! Our whole journey became much more stressless and easy. A big bonus was the same language that we shared - Finnish - so it was even easier to get things organised ! :) Her enthusiasm and knowledge about the trips was great !! All seemed good enough and he priced matched the quote we received from another agency across the road. received, we send another email and attempt to call them again no response. When arriving in Auckland (around 3 days before we want to start the tour) we go to see Kiwi Experience at their offices and they didn't have any of our details on the system and couldn't put us on the bus. Now we may have to wait until next Friday (another 4 days in Auckland) just to start our tour. Just go direct and don't even bother with these jokers.

would wait until you get further up the coast or book online or with other people. If you are not 100% sure on the type of trip you want to do please dont go with any of their suggestions and research online all the possible trips you can do and whats best for you. Useless company after your money

Worst decision ever – I booked an east coast trip for 4 weeks. I did it with them because they seemed to be the cheapest. Made a plan and booked in. Received my vouchers two weeks later but only for a 3-week-trip. Great Tours, great people! – I've booked in Byron Bay the Fraser Island, Whitesundays, the Reef Flight from Airlie Beach and the Reef snorkling from Cairns. I had such a amazing time on these places and i‘m glad that Mila told my about this! She was great, friendly and i‘m happy I've met her!! Thanks for all!

Very knowledgeable and soooo helpful – We were in Cairns awhile ago and wanted to book a Great Barrier Reef trip. There are so many different options and a lot of the travel agencies just seemed to be very hard-selling. I'm so glad that we walked into Travel Bugs, the staff were all very friendly and helpful! They helped us to pick the best tour for us (I'm a diver but my partner is not). We ended up returning and booking our full East Coast trip with them!

Legends! – We went in to book a surf lesson and ended up sorting out our whole east coast trip with them! The manager Dom was such a legend and hooked us up with a bunch of freebies. Ended up partying with them that night. Total legends!

Had to sleep in the airport – Booked a trip to NZ with the (apparent) manager. Almost had to sleep in the airport the first night because they did not book the dates we had asked. Then we were told she had fixed the problem and would send us a voucher which she never sent. We almost couldn't get into the hostel to stay without the voucher. dorms in hostels and ended up in mixed dorms every single night of our 10 day trip. She only expanded on the research I had already done and didn't get my friend or I a single deal. The one trip she suggested was awful! Everything was more of a hassle because of adventure bugs rather than helpful. Don't bother booking with these people as they won't save you any money and will probably mess up what you actually ask for. Would've been better off booking everything myself but she pressured us so much to book on the day. Tried to contact someone about the disgusting and horrible hostel they booked us and no one responded to me.

Very Helpful – I booked a full Eastcoast trip with Jack in Sydney he was very knowledgeable about what to do. He also gave me a very competitive price for my trip so was very happy. Choose this over peter pans they are much more expensive.

Expensive!! – Sadly we checked the price of our eastcoast Adventures after our booking at travelbugs. It's a lot cheaper to book everything separate online on your own. Never go there again.

Just bad!!!!! – Our boat didnt go to the withsundays because of the rain. Travel Bugs is not giving us the money back...800$ All the other travel agency paid they money back straight away to the other Backpackers. Never ever again!

asked for but it ends being something totally different, not even corresponding with your time/lifestyle... requirements. Almost harassing you until you pay and so minimal efforts after you did... Anyway reading the other reviews I guess it's their sales techniques.

We literally spent hours there and fought with the guy for every single activity included in the tour, looking all together at the final page before paying on his computer, realising something's missing for almost each activity whether it's food/ferry/transportation... Even though they asked us about it before. I understand all agencies don't work with the same companies and can't all sell the same tours but please, if you don't have what we asked for, just let us know instead of saying yes it's included all smiley!

Even though we've been very careful, we still had something different from what we wanted regarding one of the activities planned and tried to reach them. They said that they called the operator and everything was ok, that we can swap for only 1 day tour, but then we called the operator to book and that was not possible, they didn't even do what we thought we booked for!

After all, I would just say avoid them to save some energy and worries, or if you don't have any choice, just fight and be extremely vigilant about what you get. YOU are not the bad ones asking what you pay for, they are supposed to be honest and if so, they won't hide anything from you.

Very very unprofessional!!! – We booked Blue Montains and Australia Wildlife trip. They didn't say that NOTHING is included. So we paid 150 dollars/person just for the bys transport which cost normally maybe 30$. Terrible office. Be CAREFULL. Bonia and Robert

whitsundays boat and other trips we booked would have been hundreds cheaper if we had booked it further north up the coast.

This place uses all the sales/con techniques of a double glazing salesman, they will tell you anything to get your money. Pretending they are saving you money and doing you personal favors, trying to book your accommodation where they want you to stay but when you look a at reviews they are terrible. They even print up little hostel vouchers that claim to give you a discount and act like they aren't supposed to give them out, when you look online the price is the same without the voucher.

My advice is don't book anything here, either wait until you are closer to the activity you want to do or go into any of the many hostels in byron or any town and book through them and you will save a lot of money and get better trips/accommodation.

the wrong days. When i did the tours it was nice to see the places but i was lied to about the quality of the food and the tour guides were horrible. When i spoke to other people who had booked they paid a lot less than me (-$500 less), when i phoned up to ask they said it was 'tough luck' and that i should just try to enjoy it. I would recommend booking elsewhere as they are pushy and don't care about customer service.

Customer service – The agency worked just fine, as it should, nothing to complain there. This review is focused on the employees. I can not stress enough how helpful Luke was, he went through our travel plans for 2 hours (even past his working hours), and even stayed with us while the internet was out and couldn't book the trips. Anyway, 5 stars for Luke!

Amazing! – I booked a trip to go down the east coast and had a great experience! I booked it with Valerie, she was so helpful and planned everything the way I wanted. I had about two weeks and she made sure everything fit in my schedule. She's so friendly as well! Thanks travel bugs for this great experience :)

Airlie Beach Store goid value – Cruise to Whitehaven Beach on Camira. Really happy friendly staff go out of their way to make for an enjoyable day. Two tickets for day gave us two passes for another day cruise to Daydream and Hamilton Islands. Fantastic value.

Professional, quick and good trips – Great company, good trips and fair prices. Proposed me more options than others companies. The trip we booked cancelled 4 days before it, Kate helped us to book another one she found. At the end, really good trip on the Great Barrier Reef for 2 days. Quick responsiveness from their side, really good experience and I think about booking others trips with them.

March 2016 East Coast Australia magic! – Valerie Saindon at the George St Sydney Adventure Travel Bugs organised three great trips for us in March 2016 : Coral Sea Dreaming on GBR ; Solway Lass on the Witsundays and we actually spotted Dingo on Fraser Island this was a really great trip!
