Hi mohamad m, Angela from AEG here. We are sorry to hear you are experiencing problems with your AEG appliance. If you wish to discuss this further please feel free to contact Angela at customercare@aegaustralia.com.au with ticket ref number 1332885 Thanks Angela
Sorry, I can't help with this. I think you will have to check with theufacturers, or the store you purchased it from, or get an electrician to have a look at it. AEG may do a service call for free if still under warranty. Roxie
I have a new HK673520FB AEG induction cooktop. The 'p' function keeps turning on seemingly at random and things I am simmering start to rapidly boil. Also, sometimes it changes the setting I put it on, again seemingly without reason. Why are these things happening. This is brand new, so either I am doing or not doing something, or it is faulty. Can you advise. Toni
I have a HK673520FB cooktop. The 'p' keeps turning itself on when cooking, and things I am simmering start to boil madly. Also sometimes I set the control to a level I am happy with and it changes it on me Why is this happening. This is all new equipment and I am new to induction cooking, so need to understand why these things occur. Thanks Toni

So in June 2018 are there still problems with this ceramic cook top? I note the induction cook top has great reviews but it is quite a lot dearer than the ceramic top.
Could you please reply via email to
[email removed] .... shock horror I just purchased a ceramic cook top today!!!
I have had no problems whatsoever with my ceramic cooktop, purchased in Sept 2016!

My AEG 670 turns OFF automatically after 10 15 sec.
Very frustrating.

Unfortunately I can only advise you to take it to the tip where it belongs and buy locally, stick with Simpson, or Westinghouse which I regret not doing everyday !!! As mentioned before I have had 4 electricians out to see what the problem is, to no avail. I also regret paying the 5 year warranty on it at purchase point because After sales service is pathetic. They will not admit it is a Lemon and replace it. Very bad public relations. I feel so sorry for you dealing with the frustration of this ridiculous product. The advice is so true "Buyer Beware".
Hi Lou, haven't encountered this problem sorry. M
I went to Harvey Norman in MacGregor today with the intention of buying an induction cooktop but was so excited when I was shown the AEG HK654070XB cerami cooktop and decided to order that instead. However after reading the reviews I am not so sure. Please let me know whether the problems stated in the reviews have been fixed? Many thanks. Jeanne Walles
No, the problems have not been fixed. I have had 4 different electricians out to investigate the problem, everyone says something different. I asked for a new cooktop as I feel sure I scored a "lemon" but have been refused even though I paid extra insurance on it. Don't be fooled into doing that either !!! Pity you did not read the reviews before your purchase, I fear you are in for a miserable, frustrating time with your AEG cooktop. Wish I had bought a Whirlpool, or an English model or anything but this pathetic heap of nuts and bolts.
Hi, I find that you need to keep any utensils, splatters or spills away from the controller touch panel. It seems to switch off if it senses things left on the panel after a few beeps. Apart from that it's a big step up from what I had. The timer beeps could be louder but that's only a minor thing.
was very interested in purchasing a AEG HK654070XB COOK TOP, but there are some very unhappy customers out there. Is the problem of hot plates automatically switching off a design fault with this product? I need reassurance that I am getting a quality reliable product as do not live in Sydney where service agents are easy to come by. I am currently having to replace a 5 yr old Ilve because of shorting and switch problems so do not want to replace one lemon with another. ANNECOLE@IHUG.COM.AU 0408542881
Spare yourself the angst and agony every day you cook and don't buy this product. It is the most frustrating peace of metal I have ever seen, it belongs at the tip. It turns itself off regularly in the middle of your cooking cycle, which of course interferes with your timing of things, the sliding temperature gauge is frustrating as it can take ages to get to the temperature you require going up and down the number slide, it locks itself "off" in the middle of cooking. Be wise and spare yourself the utter misery of dealing with this cooktop. I was convinced I had a lemon with this cooktop, had 4 different electricians out (all sent by AEG) who kept telling me It had the wrong part in it , they replaced it 4 times with different parts, all supposedly the same part, to no avail, what a nightmare. Buyer beware !!!! Buy Australian.
Hi Anne,
Avishek from AEG here.
AEG will be able to assist you with this query. Can you please email me your contact details at customercare@aegaustralia.com.au attention Avishek ?
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks
Avishek
Hi Anne, I haven't had any issues. Warm liquids (spray, spatter, drips of water) on the control panel will either register as a touch or cause the unit to shut off after several beeps. Handy if something is starting to boil over. Inconvenient if you have 2 or 3 timers set.
Pros: Good heat control, lots of heat range. Timers and a good layout for different size pots/pans. Easy to clean.
Cons: Audible alert is a bit quiet if you're not nearby. Child lock is a bit difficult to unlock sometimes unless your finger is in exactly the right place.
On the whole I'm very happy with the product and performance.
Mick
Agree with Jane. We bought two AEG ovens, a dishwasher and induction cooktop. 3 months of use and I am sitting here with a dishwasher that will not turn on (waiting for almost a week for a technician to turn up) and a cooktop that hasn't worked properly for 2 months...keeps turning off, won't turn on, alarms going off in the middle of the night. These products are RUBBISH!
I am also having trouble with the whole unit switching itself off. Particularly when the pan is moved or removed from the plate for a short period. I am also concerned about the amount of marks that are left on the cooktop after use. They look like scratched areas, because they feel rough and cannot be removed, although they seem to disappear after cooking on that particular ring again. I am not using cast iron pans. The user manual does not give any useful information and there is nothing on the net to explain its' use. Any help would be appreciated.
Louise
Hello Louise, I also have awful marks on my cooktop after use. I clean the glass with a product called Cerapol which you can obtain from the supermarket, you just need a small amount and it works wonders, unlike the pathetic product you are cleaning. I can not imagine how this cooktop made it to first base through the testing system that should be used on appliances, let alone reaching the sales shop floor for the unassuming customer to purchase. I sympathise with you having wasted your money on this heap of junk.
Jane.
