Wish I'd read the reviews. Was so excited to get rid of the tiny flies that are driving me mad at the moment. It hasn't caught anything whatsoever. I've tried a few different locations now.

House is full of flies, not one insect was attracted to this device. I actually have more flies inside than before this was plugged in. Show details

While mine did attract and kill lighter flying insects, like moths, midges, etc., it has not attracted or killed flies, which is what it's advertised to kill. I've given mine a good go, even purchased a refil, but that is no better. Show details

Had this for 3 weeks and not a single fly in the trap - just a few small moths. I will stick to the fly swat! Show details

Purchased one about two weeks ago and installed. Useless if trying to trap house flies as they fly around the light without approaching and then fly away. Have only seen two very small black insects in the trap in that two weeks. Would not recommend buying if trying to catch ordinary flies. Show details

I too wish I had read the reviews before buying. It has caught little insects but not flies, you can see the flies flying around in the house but they don't go near it. It's actually useless for flies. Would love a refund but not sure I'd be able to due to it being used. Show details

I totally agree with the other reviews, excellent for catching smaller flying insects, but of no use at all for house flies which do not seem to be attracted by the UV light. Unable to purchase replacement refills in our area. UV Light is useful as a night light. Thought I had purchased a good product, but really just a waste of money for fly conrol. Show details

Did not catch one single fly. Got other little things, (not sure what) maybe one mozzie, but no flies! In fact I saw 2 flies sitting right on the top of it but they didn't go down to get stuck on the paper. One day I had 4 buzzing around it, but after 1 month of using still hasn't caught a single fly. Also, Woolworths never seem to have the… Read more

refills available, been 4 times and still don't have them. I've actually stuck some double sided tape on mine to see if it works on smaller insects. If it doesn't it's going in the bin.

Useless and an absolute waste of money. The flies fly past smiling and raising their middle finger as they settle on your kitchen bench and food prep. Had it on for days, and got a couple of tiny insects, but not a single fly. Only positive reviews are from Aerogard! Don't waste your money - buy a bottle of wine instead, and by the end of it, the flies won't be annoying you as much! Show details

Had this on 24/7 for 3 months. It definitely catches mosquitoes, which I hate more than flies, so that’s a win. But for flies it hasn’t been great, I’ve only caught about 2 in that time even though heaps buzz around it. Also not sure if I missed an extra sticky sheet in the box. 3 stars because it works, just not for flies like I hoped. Show details

Terrible waste of money. I wish I could give this thing zero stars. After 5 days, it has caught a small moth and a tiny fruit fly. Meanwhile I'm swatting and spraying about 10 house flies daily in the same area. This is a total scam. DO NOT BUY. I wish I'd seen these reviews before wasting my money. AND as another useless bonus, it takes up so much space on a wall socket, that you cannot use the adjacent plug as it's blocked now too. Show details

Omg I wish I had of read these reviews before eating my money!!! 5 days and not one fly caught!! I come home everyday to at least 10 flys in the house and the trap has not caught anything!!! I still get annoyed all night by flys that have been in the house. My $2 fly swatter is better. DO NOT WASTE YOUR money on this expensive piece of trash!!! Show details

Expensive product with very expensive refills. Works pretty well but at our place (rural) one refill doesn't even last 3 days let alone 30 days. Also had to train my dog not to steal the refills out of the device... bugs struggling in the adhesive were very attractive to him. Now I just use the UV light to attract the bugs and spray them in one place. Show details

Bitterly disappointed with the light trap. I’ve had it for about 3-4 weeks now and it has not caught a single fly. There are a lot of the smaller fruit flys or midgy size flies but no other flys have been caught. A complete waste of money ($30, luckily we got it on a special for $15!) and we are still having to spray the flies that get in our… Read more

house everyday. And yes… we let them fly around.. and even left them overnight with the blue glow and still no fly’s.

Total waste of money after a week hasn’t caught one fly or one insect, surprises me that woolworths would even sell such a defective item and has Aerogard even done any testing on this. I would never buy anything from this company again. If I could rate it less then one star I would. Show details

Having seen the TV ad and noting that the box clearly states "effective against house flies..." I bought 2 of these to reduce the flies in my kitchen and in the mudroom where my 3 dogs sleep, eat their dinners and chew on bones. After 6 days the kitchen trap caught 3 flies and the mudroom zero! I have tried putting it on a cord so the light faces… Read more

the room and it makes no difference. It is absolutely useless for house flies despite what it says on the box. I have attached a photo of the one I had in the mudroom for 6 days. I unplugged it and turned it over to show a visitor that it had not caught any flies when a fly came down and landed on the switched off device and was caught! Good old flypaper would be more effective. The other thing is that they do not have an on/off switch and when they are plugged in you cant reach the switch on the powerpoint. This means you have to turn the power on and then plug it in which I have always been told is not safe and can cause fuses to blow. Dont waste your money on these devices they are a real con job.

Excellent. Catches small bugs as described on box. Doesn’t get hot, doesn’t make any noise, no smell. Works as a nightlight too! Ours is full already with gnats and little moths after 4 days. Wish it was a bit slimmer though, as it takes up too… Read more

much width to be able to use the second power point in the double power point, even when rotated 90 degrees. For bug catching (gnats and little bugs) it is outstanding, obviously it’s not meant for catching normal flies or blowflies etc.

Follow-up  · To add : it’s now caught flies and full-sized moths too!! I’m onto my 4th refills already. Love it!! No more little bugs on my benches or window tracks. Still highly recommend.

I bought the Aerogard Fly catcher with a view to not swatting flies in my kitchen, 30 Dollars later I was still swatting the numerous flies in my kitchen and the Fabulous UV light, although looking very effective, never caught any!. This product is a complete, inefficient Con Job! Beware the innocent buyer!.
