executive decisions on our behalf that would have completely ruined our build. Took six months of fighting to prove they'd made a big mistake, absolutely no apology was made.

Lots of hidden costs and forced upgrades that no other house in the neighbourhood was forced to do.

Managing Director is not contactable, doesn't matter how bad things get staff won't let you speak to him.

At handover I was asked if I wanted to complete an online review for a $200 VISA gift card. I completed my 1 star review while I waited and handed the computer back to the girl who saw the rating and proceeded to tell me she could only give me the card if the review was 3 star or higher and would I reconsider my review to a 3 star so she could give me the card. When I said no the review was cancelled and was told my review couldn't be submit it.

Do not waste your time and hard earned money on this company, this house will forever be a reminder of the worst two years of our life.

We went to selections knowing what we wanted and were prepared to say no to any pressure to upgrade but were pleasantly surprised when NOTHING was pushed on us and the lady listened and just suggested within the standard range - we were so happy with our choices and even when we made changes it was very easy! Once the build process started it didn’t seem to slow at all! It was full steam ahead with amazing communication. We even got our keys a month earlier than scheduled!! Really happy with the quality of the trades and our beautiful home. The walk through was thorough and we did not feel rushed at all, the supervisor had already marked up a few things which meant we really only had minimal additions to this and he was so lovey and patient with us. The sign off meeting was lovely, the girl seemed genuinely happy and excited for us and we even received a house warming gift which was unexpected but a lovely gesture. Overall, we are very happy with our home and the delayed admin process worked in our favour in our circumstances but may be a factor for other customers and should be noted. We did receive some variations but nothing too extravagant or alarming - we were expecting some to come our way but overall fell within our budget and only slightly above what was quoted.

construction phase their were a couple of hiccups, or issues we weren't sure of, and these were dealt with promptly and professionally by the building supervisor, or our questions were answered promptly.

During the planning stage, before construction commenced, their were some issues with communication though. If that communication process was improved it would have made for a much better experience. Some of these issues were; phone calls not returned promptly, turnover of staff meaning we seemed to deal with a different person regularly during the early stages, and changes we made to the plan not reflected in the plans supplied to us.

Now that we have the keys we are very excited to see our dream come to life.

Unethical & untrustworthy – To cut a long story short, we were offered a $25,000 discount on our build if we paid and signed the initial service agreement on the day. We paid the $1,000, signed the document and emailed it back. Six weeks later, our initial quote and design came in with a $10,000 discount. they were prepared to increase the total discount to $17,500 and no more.

We were operating on a tight budget (had indicated this along with the figure on the service agreement), had the full $25,000 discount been given as promised, we would have been able to make it work.

I requested a refund of the $1,000 for the service agreement due to the fact that the agreed discount was not given and that was the determining factor for us signing. They declined, but offered to release the plans to us. Plans that are a first draft and of no use to anyone.

I would definitely NOT recommend them to anyone.

Acceptable build, some customer service lacking – Build took 11 months from footings poured to handover. Some structural issues identified during the build (missing beam on first floor balcony), however these were addressed by the builder once identified by our building inspector. having a building inspector to undertake independent inspections of the build. Having a fixed price contract was great and provided with a choice of internal fittings & colour selections was also great. We really love the design of the home, it reminds us of being in Europe on holidays (when we could go overseas! )

Good experience, well sourced materials – A pretty fluid process, the 3 story house was finished with quality materials and the craftsmanship. There was a delay on schedule, however, considering the logistical difficulties at the time of COVID it was dealt with well. Good Building experience – Build a terrace home with Rendition in a very complex development, but they made the job very easy for us and without any problems and build within promised time frame. At the end, morning shows the day and if the initial experience is that poor, I realized that it will be even worse later on. Compete waste of time. I think the other reviews available here reflect the same.

Dont make our mistake and trust this builder – PLEASE DON'T make the same mistake we made in trusting this builders cheap price, as after you have paid the deposit the price WILL go up tens of thousands, despite what they say! adamant it was only the opposition. Well after our experience the opposition has no need to lie, in fact it would be more likely that Renditions positive feedback is a lie.

We originally gave Rendition our detailed foorplan and got a price 35k cheaper than another reputable builder, although we had a very... very short deadline to pay the deposit otherwise we would lose a huge 30k incentive. So trusting their misleading words and lies, we payed the deposit and after some time received what they call a 'contract schedual' (which is no different to quotes we had received from other builders). Straight off the bat the price had gone up dramatically making it now 10k dearer than the other builder and after double checking the differances there was also thousands of dollars removed from the footings allowance. So, feeling absolutely mislead and more to the point, conned, we hit the roof and asked for our money back, which was immediatly denied. So we left with no intention of returning, however after another long time, [name removed] called me back to the seaford display to review a revised contract schedual "we were sure to sign it straight away" he said. Granted it was more appealing however he wanted me to sign it there and then and wouldnt release it for me to look over. Finally he emailed it, days later, after we debated that we had payed for it. This time it included a floorplan which was greatly different to our plan, many costs had been cut in areas easily overseen, (tiny sliding doors, windows and roller doors, smaller ensuite and vanitys, infill panels above short doors ect.) I was then told any chages I make are now variations... I again debated this as they had varied OUR plan, but was then threatened with price rise over xmas if I didnt agree to do it this way. So lastly we have now received the variation list after xmas anyway, which in all honesty is an absolute joke. For example to move a sliding door to where it should be on our plan cost us over 500$. We were told specifically they are an extreamly flexable builder and we can supply materials for them to fit and it wouldn't cost extra to supply our own kitchen sink... so instead we get a credit for 141$ for the kitchen sink and charge for 988$ to install supplied sink.... then a slightly differnent situation for the bifold doors we were ment to be suppling, a 7899$ charge for a sliding door in its place with a note 'we can change it after handover' (thats more expencive than what we were quoted for the bifolds).... same issue with the front door... And their appliance upgrade is comical, $3200 (inc 600mm credit) for an upgrade to 900mm. We then found out this is for a standalone cooker u can get from bunnings for $1390... and a cheap ss rangehood... Thats not even close to half of it. Just look into the quality of A&L windows, the manafacture they use for doors, windows, shower screen ect.

Heed my warning do not waist your time considering this builder.

Deposit Trap – Don't ever do anything with this untrusted and dishonest builder not even get them to do quotation. Once they give cheaper quote you will get hooked. They will push you to dead end, they do more quote to get you hooked up. They give you more discount but for nothing no inclusion probably they will add all discounted amount in final contract. you sign Initial Work Contract you are in the cage. Unfortunately we get trapped once we trusted Melbourne sales person [name removed] paid the deposit in same day. Next day she realises made a big mistake mixing quotations and we refused the accept and asked for refund and made second quote and she made 4 different quote and leeway emails. Refer to Adelaide Sales person [name removed]. He made another quote and I clearly explain my credit application hasn't been approved because of my cancer treatment will take place and some certain time I can't work. That was the reason I asked refund the money that funds $4000 will be used for treatment. Honestly that was for humanity reason I gave very personal information they didn't give my deposit yet. Person [name removed] are allegedly saying we start your job and we did some expenditure how you can believed this they haven't sorted out estimate quotation yet and they are started my job what a joke! I made several complaints ATO, ABCC, Fair Trading VIC and SA, DBDRV has no result yet because of festive season commenced. Government and legal bodies will get results. Even I lose that they will get fine to company that for sure.

I INFORM IMPORTANT EMAILS TO MANAGING DIRECTOR WF AFTER A FEW EMAILS THEY BLOCK MY ADDRESS TRY TO HELP THEM TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT. VERY RESPONSIVE!!! Don't forget guys good persons always wins does it matter how long does it takes. They sent expenditure letter they charged sales consultant fee, preparation admin file, Foundation Data??, Contract estimating and building contract (same contract but they will estimate and finalized charge twice well done).
