We had very bad experience with AGas national 2x already. They claim that they are reliable but on our experience they are actually liars, unreliable and taking advantage of our situation and need. cameras around our and none of them showed that their delivery person arrived and tried to deliver, and if they deliver again they are charging us $30 for redelivery. How can customers trust a commodity company like that.

I rang back today, and you guessed it I spoke with someone in the Philippines with poor English and she assured me the gas would be delivered today. it's now almost 5pm and NO GAS. I rang back and was told it was scheduled for tomorrow. fingers crossed, stars may align, all the ducks might be in a row etc etc etc. Agas was very quick to take my money from the first contact I made with them. This is very, very ordinary service from Agas.

A Gas National was great at the beginning with cheap prices and great service but it has really gone off in the last two years. Their cylinder prices are now one of the most expensive around & when you add the $75.00 cylinder rental it's astronomical. offshore phone staff to take orders, anyway it sure sounded like it last time I ordered a gas bottle to be delivered.
I phoned them on a Monday and I was asked what day suited me for delivery & I said any day but Thursday, and was told that the gas delivery would be Tuesday. I always pay up front as well. Tuesday came & went but no gas delivery, so on Wednesday afternoon I phoned them and was told that my delivery was scheduled for Thursday (which was the only day I originally told them was unsuitable).
Anyway, at about 4:15pm Friday they finally delivered the gas bottle, but the delivery man was in a hurry and his shifting spanner slipped off the nut on the empty gas cylinder and it hit the side of the regulator quite hard, which loosened it where it screws into the main pipe that runs inside the house. Then once the new cylinder was connected & tested he told me that it was already leaking when he arrived, (which it wasn't). I was standing right beside him and saw exactly what he had done with his spanner. Then he tried to get me to use one of the A Gas National gas fitters to fix it, (I think it is a scam). Anyway I told them I would take care of it myself & call a Gas fitter of my choice which they were not too pleased about.
The time before this order I went through a similar experience when they left a note in my mailbox telling me they could not gain entry & that I had to phone them & reschedule. But on that day all gates were wide open from 5:30 AM & I was home all day so the driver mustn't have tried too hard to get in. Then I had to wait another week for my order to be delivered. There was a mix up the time before that delivery as well.
Plus, even though you have paid over the phone using a bank card all they give you is a paper receipt for the delivery written with a pen by the driver, and they do not provide you with a separate receipt for the cylinder rental payment. On top of this, they no longer send receipts by email, so that flimsy dirty piece of paper written in biro is the only record you get. It's Dodgy & just a Lazy setup if you ask me... In my opinion it's all about them & what they want & they don't give a stuff about me or the inconvenience they put you through, so if I can find another decent Gas company with reasonable prices & good customer service I will not be using A Gas National any longer.
After you have signed up with this company, the pricing rapidly increases to ridiculous levels. I also found it a struggle to deal with them. I'll never use them again. Show details

delivery drivers lack proper training or patience. Over the past few years, I have experienced numerous gas leaks as a result of rough gas bottle swaps. The most recent incident resulted in complete wall bracket damage and a major gas leak, prompting me to contact the company immediately with photo evidence of the damage.
Despite assurances that a technician would be sent to inspect the situation, I waited almost three days without any response. Frustrated and concerned for my safety, I opted to engage a private gas plumber to rectify the issue, incurring costs exceeding $400.
In an attempt to rectify the situation, A Gas National offered to reduce the price of my next five gas bottles to $100 each, providing a discount of $35 per bottle and a total saving of $175. However, when I followed up on this offer five months later, I was informed by both the operator and supervisor that there were no records of such an agreement. Despite their ability to access other notes related to the incident, the promised discount seemed to have conveniently disappeared from their records.
What is most concerning is their unwillingness to take responsibility for the damages caused by their driver, instead passing the burden back to me as the customer. This evasion of accountability, coupled with their disregard for honoring agreements, showcases a glaring lack of integrity and customer service.
I urge anyone considering engaging with A Gas National to exercise extreme caution and maintain thorough documentation of all correspondences. Without proper evidence, you may find yourself at the mercy of their negligence and poor service, as I unfortunately did.

Overpriced service – Very rude customer service, especially the team leader who is setting a great example to her staff and training them to be as obnoxious as herself. Gas bottles delivered always came on time which was the only plus here. cylinder price, was happy to pay until the rudeness was experienced. Be wary if you are struggling with the high cost of living, as this company is not the family business they state that they are. They're worried about their family only here!!

At no stage in the protracted one-month process of obtaining the refund was this explained to me AND, despite scouring their website, I can’t locate that this is a condition of being a customer. When questioned, it was explained what HAS to be done with the collected cylinders, for which the customer is charged! Perfect – Placed an order this morning, never used gas before, the lady I spoke to was very helpful and polite! I received my gas bottle within an hour of placing the order. The driver was lovely and was able to show me how to switch over to the second cylinder when 1 cylinder runs out. Overall experience was wonderful! Highly recommend!!! Show details

Beware of price hikes – Started off with an offer of 11th cylinder free which was appealing. Then came the increases first small. Then a fixed price for 24 months which expired before term. Last increase $20 per bottle. Same deal another company $96 per bottle. Advertise same day service - does not happen. Shop around you can do better Show details
Very dishonest – A Gas National advertised on Facebook a "new customer special offer, fixed price of $69 for two years". When I inquired about this special offer I was informed that yes, the deal was for two years and they offered same day delivery. for the first few bottles, although the same day delivery only occurred the once. This wasn't a problem as we have two bottles. Our first order was in May 2021 which means the deal should be current until May 2023. All of a sudden the cost of Gas increases and I find every subsequent order to be an argument over the phone with the sales staff. I was told the price of Gas has increased and their "new customer special offer of a fixed price" was no longer current. I was told that deal had expired and various other excuses. I held them to their deal for a further two bottles, however this morning, August 12, 2022 when placing an order they refused to honor their deal with new customers. Living in the local Tweed Valley, A Gas National took a lot of customers away from local Gas Supply Companies as the two year fixed offer was too good to ignore or as I have found out now, "too good to be true". I would say to anybody considering switching over to A Gas National to do so with caution as they certainly are not the honest family owned business they claim to be. Two bottles ago when I encouraged them to honor their $69 deal they sent me an invoice for rental on the bottles. Two phone calls to A Gas National didn't resolve this, so an email reply with a copy of their original advertising was sent. A few days later I received a phone call saying that the invoice was an accounting error. Good try A Gas National, they were simply trying to extract more money out of me because they hated the fact that they had to honor their $69 deal. Talk about dodgy and dishonest. On several occasions I spoke with the delivery driver telling him how the sales staff were trying to cheat me on each recent order, even he was disgusted and said I was not the only one with a complaint. One has to wonder If Gas suddenly became cheaper would A Gas National offer their customers a reduced price. Highly unlikely I say. The fact is everybody is doing it tough right now and that includes local Gas Supply Companies That A Gas National took customers away from. Perhaps A Gas National that is 100% Queensland owned should stay in their own area and resist poaching customers from honest local Gas Supply Companies. As I said, approach A Gas National with caution as I have found them to be very dishonest and I would certainly discourage anybody falling for their dodgy deals. Shame on you A Gas National, so much for a Family owned business that claims it's all about customer service. My advice is to stick with your smaller local Gas Supply Companies, you might pay a little extra but at least you receive decent service, are treated as a valued Customer and are supporting an honest Company.
Initial issues that impacted us having hot water but have been consistant since resolved – Upgraded rating as I was lazy and have stayed with Agas and not had any continued issues. switch tanks it seemed only one tank was swapped and the other was still empty.
It was approximately 3pm on a Friday and middle of winter so I called up to get something sorted and was told all drivers had finished for the day and there was absolutely nothing the company could do to fix their mistake that they had charged for!
I had to go to bunnings and buy a 8.5kg tank to get us through the weekend with hot water, but then on the Monday I called at 2:30 when no delivery had occurred and was told the truck for our area was broken down. No one called to inform us and for all they knew we had no gas from their mistake. Supposedly a truck is coming tomorrow to swap the bottle.
I would absolutely discourage anyone from choosing Agas National as while I understand mistakes happen they both double charged and were not able/willing to resolve their mistake in any timely manner. DO NOT GO WITH AGAS NATIONAL!
