AGL. mobile sim card porting – AGL mobile porting across is a shocking experience, 3 weeks and no resolution and date to be fixed. 9.5hrs on phone and spoken with more than 10 people.Not customer focused AT ALL.People and processes are not up to scratch to fix such a basic issue with porting a number from another provider.

10 years to upgrade my plan – The plan itself wasn’t bad but the customer service when trying to upgrade my plan was garbage, at first I did it myself online chose the new plan received a new sim activated and then they cancelled it I called up to sort it out apparently it’ll take 10 business days so I changed company There’s no plan upgrade option online so I don’t know why they didn’t just activate the new sim idiots. Worst service. They try to trick customers – They advertised $5 month plan. I registered for my poor mum who somehow lost her wifi connections from home. They automatically put data into her plan and charged us. I rang them and advised to stop it but they continued add more data and charged us more. I cancelled their service right away. AGL operates on the Optus network so my network coverage, speed, access, reliability have all stayed the same as before. Except I now feel like a valued telco customer. Cannot turn off the data boost – Auto data boost cannot switch off. I couldnt login to my account as no sms was sent to me, called and ask them to fix and they not willing to fix it. I asked them to reset my account, they deleted my account and asked me to register again myself, I asked the person to go through the process with me, he said he cannot and hung up on me. So rude and not helpful.

More stars if setting up voicemail wasn't such an ordeal – The carrier is Optus so the coverage is OK but I don't recall setting up voicemail ever being so convoluted. I have to ring AGL to get a PIN before I can start ... so I gave up on the first 3 attempts when on hold for around 10 minutes each try. Okay, so you activate online through their portal. Takes a few hours to process. Then you think it's done right? But no, first calls is working. But no SMS. After a day or so, I can receive SMS but not send. Also, voicemail is not activated. After 4 days, I still can't send text or get voicemail working. I have spoken to the resolution depart 3-4 times and each time they say, we've fixed it, just reboot your phone. My last call with them was late Fri afternoon. They say it's Optus service interruption in the area, try again in the morning. My wife's phone has an Optus service and it's been working fine all week. And why only SMS send but not SMS receive or calls. Oh, it's random, she says. The truth is that it's Friday afternoon, nearly going home time and mobile support don't work on weekends, so no annoying customers until Monday. Each time you call on the phone the wait is min 30 mins. There's no call back service. Update on Monday. I called them again. This time I am told I have to try texting minimum 3 times in the next 24 hours, make a note of the time and number, then I have to call support back again to quote that information for them to to escalate the problem to the "technical/engineering" section and this time, minimum response time from them will be 3 business days. Are they saying I need to be sure that I have a problem when they have been working on it all last week?

interested just to ignore it and it would automatically be cancelled if I didn’t activate it within a certain timeframe. It arrived, I didn’t want it and didn’t even open the envelope. I sent a message through the app to try to get it deleted off my account but didn’t get a response that day and only just noticed they responded a couple of days later and I was unaware. I assumed it would disappear from my account further down the track, that they maybe had a back log. Months later and I just received a bill for it. I phoned and waited nearly 30 mins to speak to someone who was able to deactivate it but then was told they can’t issue a credit for it and I have to wait for a FINAL NOTICE. After I receive that, to phone back again and tell them the amount due so they can process a credit. To be told to wait until next month to be issued a FINAL NOTICE over something I’ve not used and didn’t even want in the first place is really distressing to me as I’ve always paid my bills before the due date. Their sales person lied to me to get a sale. Not a good experience and it hasn’t ended yet.

$0.026 GB accidentaly. Beware users, if you think AGL $15 plan is good for children, it is not, as the data boost is automatic. Children would not care about the extra costs.

Great plan for my budget – As an AGL customer also, am very happy with my X-small plan, as I don't need a lot of data as use Wi-Fi also. Network coverage is good although sometimes reception is bad in my home; no dropouts. Data download speeds are good. Very happy with the organisation of transferring from Optus to AGL; much cheaper plan which I need for my budget, so happy I did this. :) Show details · 1

Perfect for my needs – As an AGL energy customer our monthly phone bill is $20 for 2 mobile phones. Our downloads are mostly via home wi-fi so we don't need a lot of data.
