End of an era with Alannah Hill finally closed down – I went to the closing down sale last weekend and the weekend before at an Abbotsford warehouse. There were lots of quality items at op shop prices! Some of the clothes looked like they had been sitting in a warehouse for years collecting dust, but it was the Alannah Hill quality that I have come to enjoy. I got lots of bargains. So sad that they will no longer be available for retail sale - RIP!

colour. I then purchased again, and after a few weeks just was issued a refund, no explanation. Out of 8 items 4 were refunded with no explanation, and I received 4. The customer service in this organisation needs improving as there is none. Im so disappointed that the original items I purchased were never sent even though they said they had stock, I had to purchase in different colours to receive them. The recent skirt I was refunded for was the last straw, Im done with them. The website was easy to navigate, but you are not guaranteed the items you purchase. The quality of Alannah Hill clothes is very good, and Im just sorry that the business online does not reflect that.

customer service is so unhelpful as well. Never buying again and neither should anyone, they should be closed down. Absolutely not as advertised on their website.

particularly the velvet clothing (I have a stunning black dress & a pair of dark blue palazzo pants). The three or four items I haven't liked looked poor quality in both fabric and design & I returned them. On one occasion they delivered the wrong size but by the time I received it, they were out of stock on the correct size. On another occasion my order didn't arrive at all. I had to chase it up with them (they hadn't noticed the tracking number never left the warehouse). On yet another occasion I ordered a dress in my size successfully only to be told two days later it was out of stock. So in summary, most of the clothes are gorgeous and they add a few new items most days which sell out quickly ..... kind of drip feeding customers for some reason (possibly correct they are liquidising). So as I said, hit & miss, but I think it's worth it and continue to place orders.

been pretty annoyed if porch pirates got it (a problem in my area) - I would happily pay more for better shipping.

The products were beautiful and fit perfectly - just how I imagined.

She was helpful in getting me to try on numerous dresses and nothing was too much trouble. She was cheerful and friendly but also knowledgeable and professional. Two weeks to ship within Australia and counting – I made the mistake of ordering from their online sale. It has been 11 days and Australia Post does not have the item yet. I will be lucky to get it within two weeks of ordering and now have to buy another top to wear to a scheduled function. Is someone actually in charge of this store?

Not what it was 10 years ago – I was a loyal fan way back in 2000, when I purchased my first item. Sadly, the quality has gone done and the styles are old and tired. They don't refund - only give you credit notes. I have tried a few times to purchase items and have always been disappointed with the quality and fit.

Down HILL – Clothing very small fitting, very cheaply made. Shoes are smaller than normal sizing. If you are a 38 shoe don’t expect it to fit... you will definitely need 39. could return my order, get the refund and repurchase it at the sale price and was told no. What a joke. As a first time customer I will never shop here again. I understand pricing can change but a bit of a joke they won't even honour the price change that happened with less than 24 hours of my purchase.

the dress I saw online. Now I’m wasting my time emailing them, hoping to at least get a voucher in return. I’ll never buy again online from Allanah Hill, it’s a shame that the quality is so low but the prices remain high. I don’t mind getting cheap looking dresses if I pay $40 for them but for $200+ I better get a nice Portmans or Review dress which never disappoint. I should have checked the reviews before ordering from them!

Beware of shopping online at this store – Ill-fitting, poor quality fabric, frustrating and incredibly unresponsive for information and returns. They simply do not care. I have seen a marked deterioration in both the range (most of it is just the same styles rehashed with different details) and quality. Incredibly hard to exchange and you will only get a revolving door of online credit and rubbish clothes. I have basically lost 600 bucks. Show details

was getting a product at sales price but having to pay for returns and then again to be sent the correct size if it is available and so it goes on, a nightmare experience, never again will I buy from Alannah Hill.

Design is boring – I do hope the real Alannah Hill is back. It's a shame the brand still carries her name whilst the design is nothing of her. The design is so generic and keep repeating the same exact thing on different prints only. The cardi that is used to be the staple of the brand is so boring now. Leave for a 5 week holiday overseas on Sunday and now stressing that I'll be stuck with a dress I won't be able to return when I get back.(unless of course, I travel 1 hour to the CBD tomorrow and hope there's something in store I can swap for as they won't refund or provide a credit). having an online store if you cant even keep in control of your stock?

Its false advertising and wasting customers time.

The fact i had to demand a refund three times is just despicable - which prompted me to write this review.

I got the typical "sorry not sorry" response delivered with a big dose of attitude from someone called [name removed] who patronisingly signs off her emails with kisses.

Sorry not sorry - ill be shopping elsewhere from now on.

Don't buy instore - only on line – In store purchase won't give you a refund for unwanted gift for my wife. (Emporium Melbourne) returned very next day with the unopenned parcel. The shop manager was quite rude If I'd bought it online it would not have been a problem.

customer service – Beads were coming off dress. Went to Enex store in Perth. Dianne was amazing. Bought dress in Melbourne at Emporium. Dianne contacted Tara (Melbourne) and the issue was resolved better than I expected. The customer service I received was exemplary. Definitely a positive outcome. Thank you I will be returning.

bought had a small quality issue in a certain spot, where some of the material had come undone.

Hence there are some issues with product quality. Some of the clothes are quite nice but the prices are quite expensive for what the products are. The sales are quite decent but not everything is put on sale (i.e things I actually want). Also some designs unfortunately are aimed at women who have no chest and are un-curvy, as some of the tops/clothes don't sit well on those who actually have greater endowments/curves. They need to cater to a wider range of women's body shapes.

Designs and prints are a bit of a hit and miss at times.

The staff in the store are generally helpful, in the city/Highpoint store, depending on staff, good at suggesting other clothes and alternatives.

I am also disappointed that they closed the Highpoint store (with no warning!), now the closest one is very inconvenient to get to so I won't be shopping at this brand much as I can't buy online due to not knowing if the item is suitable/sizing. At least customer service was helpful and apologetic about that!

I thought it was just the particular dress I received, but have just received another dress with the same issue. I have asked for a discount given the dresses were faulty and am hoping the customer service will be good and that there will be some reasonable response even if it's some meaningful amount of store credit. Good Customer Service & Divine Winter Coat (despite a glitch along the way) – This was nearly a one star review as it took nearly two weeks for my order to be dispatched. The problem lies in items being sourced from individual stores and relying on them to post the parcels. However, the customer service team were responsive to my concerns, fixed the problem quickly and were professional at all times. The coat is absolutely divine so I feel that overall Alannah Hill come out on top and I would purchase from them again.

From Alannah Hill to seriously down hill – Absolutely disgusted in the quality of the clothes they have progressively become cheaper and nastier as time goes on. Used to be a top quality cut and design and the materials were luxurious, they now look like a cheap chain store product. Have gone from bad to worse to unbearable since the departure of the real Alannah Hill.

Terrible returns policy for online shopping – I will never shop with Alannah Hill again. The online shopping returns policy is appalling. It’s expensive to return. They do not give a printed receipt, you have to print one and then pay $12 to return! (I live in the city!) You can't get a refund on sale items, only a credit valid for a measly 3 months! The shoes I bought look cheap and are poorly made and don’t fit correctly. Never again.

awful service for non-fitting item – My daughter is a std size and I shop online for her all the time. Second dress I have bought of Allanah hill that doesn't fit. First one we gave to a mate. This one I can return by paying the postage and getting a shop credit...like that will work?
