ALDI Induction Cooktops Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhat dimensions ( Wide and Depth ) are cut out on bench for Aldi Stirling iInduction Cooktop dimensions 60 (H) mm x 590 (W) mm x 530 (D) mm ? Thanks ! Ned K
There's an "E" display on my Aldi induction cooktop. How do I get rid of it ?
Turn power off and then turn back on. If there is an error number like E4 you will have to investigate further
Thank you for replying but I managed to fix it without turning the power off as I could not find the power switch. I just play with the cooking zone selection control until it works ! The 2 E's from A & B cooktop are gone now.

how do i set it for 32 amp connection
our induction aldi cook top has been great for the last 11 months unfortunately last night I used a knife blade in an induction fry pan adn the whole thing went off and is disabled on the fuse box does it need a new fuse installed by electrician?
Doesn’t sound right just from using a knife. You might have tripped a fuse switch that needs to be reset ? What do you mean by disabled ?
Like a few others who have left messages here, I do not have a manual for the Stirling cooktop. We thought that we had thrown it out with the packaging, but as others seem to have the same problem, that may not be the case. Our model number is STR-C160-10AMP, purchased from Aldi around October 1 2022. Can a copy be sent to me, or is there a website I can download one from? Thanks. Hello I have got a new Stirling Induction cooktop, but I don't have the instruction booklet, I think one of the installers possibly may have thrown it out with the box, but they insist that there want one in the box, would out be possible if you could email one to me? Are all types of saucepans that say they are induction suitable work on these cooktops? Cheers, David.
where to get it?
where can i find a cooktop?
So I've had this cooktop for a few years now and it's been fine. But now the front right burner is not working. It's the one we use all the time, so that's understandable. The fan still works, but the coil doesn't have that buzzing sound anymore. Has anyone ever had any success in changing these, how difficult is it, and where can the part be purchased?. Thanks in advance, Graeme.
Hi Graeme, I'm so sorry to hear about this issue with your induction cooktop. Unfortunately, this appliance does not feature any user-serviceable parts. It would be best to book a service with our after-sales support team (1300 112 534).
In terms of the precise nature of this issue, if the cooking mode indicator still comes on but the heating does not start, the hob surface may be too hot, or an air intake vent may be blocked. It could also indicate an issue with the power board. Since your fan is still running, this is probably the most likely cause. If you see an error message or a symbol when this issue occurs, please let us know and we may be able to more precisely pinpoint the problem.
Based on what you have described, it does sound like a technical fault has occurred, either with the display board, the pan detection circuit or the power board, and therefore booking a service would be the best course of action. We hope this has helped! If you need any further assistance please don’t hesitate to contact us on 1300 112 534 on Monday to Saturday 8:30am – 6pm.
Kind regards, Tempo
Bought an Induction Cooktop from Aldi Australia on 40 March 2021. It is marked SCHOTT CERAN. One plate is now not working. I can't find anywhere on the Aldi website to ask about it. What can I do.
Go into the store of purchase, they are usually helpful.
Thanks Wendy I'll try that.
Once my job gets too warm it has started to flash 9 and E even thou it has only been on 4/5 . I have to turn off the trip switch to the house. I only have this about 2 months
I am unable to get the stovetop to move from Lock (Lo). Each time I follow the instructions to unlock, all appears fine, that is the Lo is replaced with — until I try to activate any of the four zones, then the Lo reappears. Rendering the stove unusable. Checked the troubleshooting tips and have cleaned the stovetop and my fingers, and still no joy. Have turned off the power to see if reset might occur. Any suggestion
turn off main stove power for 10 seconds
Is it still going ok? Do you find the power setting control too fiddly to use?
Seems as good as new, and looks as good as new as well. Controls seem ok, and appear no different to others I see. My prior one had the controls on a strip in front of the heating area which was good as we could cover the heating area with news paper without covering the controls.
All the ones on the market now seem to have the controls incorporated into the Glass top like this one. We just cut out a bit of a gap at the edge of the news paper cover to expose the controls. Works fine. I am still amazed at the high prices of other example of these things being generally $1,200 to nearly $3,000. This was last at Aldi for $299 with a three year onsite warranty. Amazing.
I just read the other review. Not sure what is meant by slow, these things are renowned for being faster than gas. You generally have to watch it if it is on 5 or above as it will generally be boiling vigorously quite quickly and if you do not turn it down you could get a lot of steam, water jumping out of the pot or stuff stuck to the inside bottom of the pot or smoke if it is a frying pan. We generally heat stuff up on 5 then as soon as it is as hot as we want, we turn it to 4 or lower depending.
We would have to be in a real hurry to use 6 to 9 and you sure can not leave it at those setting for long. Heating up on 1 to 4 would be slow ish but we never do that as it would be like trying to heat something on a simmer setting. We just heat stuff up quickly generally using 5, then turn it down. Very fast, not fiddly for us.
How larger cookware can possible use in 16mm cooking zone? My cookware is 24mm diameter will be safe on it?
Well, you may be meaning cm not mm. There are 2 by 14 CM zones and 2 by 18 CM zones. So long as a fridge magnet will stick to the bottom of your cookware and it is 14 CM or larger, you should be fine. THIN steel may not be so good as in a THIN steel wok or frying pan because the metal is too thin to spread the heat and these usually rely on gas to heat more of the surface. On induction cooktops a cast iron wok with a flat bottom is pretty good, you can really blast them with induction. If you had cookware a lot smaller than 14 cm, which is very small really I am not sure. However, if this were to be a requirement I suspect that using it on the lower settings, say 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 would be best. Setting 5 and above are quite strong so best to make sure for those setting your pot is as big as the zone or bigger. I always actually cook with paper towel between the cooktop and the pot, saves scratching, cleaning etc. Be careful with cast iron, it is so heavy you could break the glass if you dropped it onto the cooktop.
