Within 3 years since I bought that mixer I barely used it: 5-7 times at most. When I attempted to use it last time it didn't turn on. Contacted After Sales Support. Been advised that it' is out of warranty. I requested to advise the repair shop where I can take it to fix. I specifically requested ANY repair shop, as long as it can be fixed. They… Read more
said it can NOT be fixed, I again explained that I am happy to pay. But their reply was " IT's NOT fixable" To say that I was extremely disappointing is understatement. There are a lot of websites and YouTube videos that are explaining how to fix stand mixers different models and brands. The Kuchef from Aldi is NOT amongst them... Speaks volume of the "quality" of this item, doesn't it?
Hook broke after preparing cookies – Plastic accessories. Lasted 1 cookie preparation . Could have been broken though as I didn't check properly before use. Why can't you find replacements?
Gutless ! – Got the stand mixer a few years back, tried to make bread dough toady 26 December, only 2 cups worth of flour used, machine was gutless, had to finish by hand, if you are wanting one for bread dough then buy a professional one, yet another ALDI toy for the recycle centre !

Loud , does basic kneading and Misleading Warranty – Bought it from Aldi died just after year, good for basic kneading but then sometimes had to with hand after as it does not do the perfect knead. But for the money it was okay. But when actually it contacted the service centre, them saying it cant be covered after one year but has 3 year warranty written all over it. It cant be serviced so can not cover it . Then refund the money if you can't cover it. Show details

I loved this mixer bought from Aldi! It worked great until 2022. Help, I miss my mixer! – I loved this mixer and it worked great until 2022. Now the back beater will still work but the drive beater stops working once it has a load. If anyone knows if there is a fix please respond!! I miss my mixer. Will another one be coming out? The motor still works great. It mixed everything I tried. The bowl size was great. (5qt) I 'm an Aldi fan! Show details
My best purchase! – Very good quality, I am using it for long time, for made bread , I am very happy with it, I never had a problem, I think is a really good alternative instead the others very expensive. Show details
For me the Stirling stand mixer from Aldi , es perfect, – I am so happy with the Stirling Stand Mixer ( from Aldi) I never have a problem, I paid $200 for it and not $600 or $700 , for a Kitchenaid . I recommend it, if they will selling again . I am so happy with my purchase! Show details

Stand up mixer – Mixer belt broke. To weak. Need 2 belts or a thicker belt 11 mm. Everything else is good. My wife was excited to use it but it broke when it came to dough. Show details
Dont buy it – Very badly made. Its heavy and noisy. Didnt mix ingredients very well. The service for repairs from aldi was non existant and staff were rude.Cannot buy parts. Stay away from this product Show details
Keeps going up in price despite not improving – This product keeps going up in price year after year. I figured they'd addressed the issues now it cost $90 instead of $59.95, wrong. Same issues. It doesn't hit the bottom nor does it even come close to the sides when mixing. We tried dry mixture first and the sides didn't even get touched. As soon as I saw this we took the thing back. Absolutely useless. Show details

This is great!!! – My mixer was bought for me by my husband. I had always wanted one, but we never seemed to have the money BUT then we went to Aldi, it was love at first sight. It now sits proudly in my kitchen. Only one problem, and that is that i can't whip cream in it. So frustrating!! Does anyone out there have any clues? I love thick whipped cream but have had to go without. Show details
4 years , not a problem – Had the Aldi Mixer for 4 years and it's mostly used for making bread every few days. The mix time is usually between 10 and 15 minutes of very hard work. It would be nice if the gears were a bit quieter but it's never failed or stopped because of overheating. (I was not aware of the4 minute limit.) My impressions, brilliant machine in value for money. If it was to break down today I'd buy another when they become available. Show details

Dissappointed in the Aldi product Classic Stand Mixer – It was impossible to cream butter and sugar for a cake, no matter how long I beat it, it was very unsatisfactory. What a waste of time. Should have looked at reviews before buying it,. I had to go back to my trusty hand mixer to make the cake. I'll look closely next time before buying what I thought would be a good product. This is a good Mixer – I have been using this mixer for a long time and I really like this mixer. I recommend this mixer to everyone because of its built quality and standard they are offering. Show details
Waste of Money – Bought from Aldi 3 or so years ago. It's useless... the mix attachment doesn't reach the bottom of the bowl (there's a little rise right in the middle of the bowl and the rest of the base is lower). The mixture just sticks to the bottom and sides whilst the attachment tries to do its job. I haven't tried to use it in 2 years but got it out today… Read more
thinking it can't be THAT bad.... it is! Trying to cream butter and sugar is torture and basically impossible. Finally I had to get out my hand mixer and use that. Far more effective but at least it worked. Also, the mixer is extremely heavy to lift.
Poor quality, no power – I had mine for a couple of years and used it on average once per month. With just 1 kilo of dough it overheated, making the cover to melt and crack. I ended up with pieces of plastic in the dough, all wasted and the mixer is ready for the rubbish bin
It does everything it needs to – Sure it's not the best on the market, may be 80% close to it, but it cost 20% of that. If I have a criticism to make is only that I wish it had a dedicated funnel to allow pouring the ingredients while spinning, the location of the hole in the lid doesn't make it very comfortable - not a big deal though - particularly because the plastic disc… Read more
which covers the rotating whiskers covers that exact hole when spinning. Well done Aldi, another great value for money product. Not sure what these other people are complaining about. Maybe they bought a faulty one, it happens. Take it back within 60 days for a full refund, no questions asked. Or bring it back under the 3 or 5 years warranty, not 12 months like all other most expensive brands. If you bought it second hand, as you said, you took a chance to save yourself $30. Too bad mate. Ciao!
Great, Untill it works – I used monthly for 4 years. It is now broken. When I switch on the power the led light will blink and the motor will not start. I guess there is a sensor that check the motor and does a safety check. I will probably buy a better brand next time. Show details
Very disappointing – Mixing attachments do not reach the bottom of the bowl therefore mixture is not mixed properly, you have to finish mixing by hand. The item is also very heavy, very disappointed in general in this product. I don't use it anymore, money wasted. Very sad as Kogan in general is great. Show details
Dangerous and badly designed – It's dangerous; I believe negligently so, by design. Buy this and risk mangling your fingers. There are other issues relative to design. I got this because I needed something to mix while doing other cooking chores (as compared to using a couple of hand-held mixers and leaving them dripping while doing other things, for example). My main… Read more
hand-held mixer has the eject button on the top; so ,while holding it in one hand, the beater things can be pulled out with the other hand. This Ambiano mixer has the Turbo-Speed button in exactly that place. The Ambiano (Aldi) mixer has its eject (beater things) lever on the side; a full-power "Turbo" switch is thumb-ready where some hand-held mixers put their beaters-eject button. If one forgets to turn off at the wall, when changing from say stirring to kneading, then when pulling out the beater things (two of them) one is likely to try the top button which turns the mixer Full On! I confirmed this. Even though the rotary speed-control switch was zero (off; at the rear of the main body) the turbo switch turned the thing onto Full Power (with my fingers about to try to pull the beater things out).
Today I decided that rather than risk cooking with too much wine and losing/mangling a finger or two, I bought a stand mixer which can't be turned on when it's raised out of the bowl. The Ambiano designers were either ignorant or ignored an obvious and possibly standard safety precaution.
Working a small amount of soft dough had the thing shaking and rattling and jumping around with the bowl going metal-to-metal with the stirring things. By comparison, rather than bashing the bowl around and sort-of rotating the bowl, other mixers keep the bowl steady and move the head mechanism to mix everywhere.
I bought the mixer because it's supposed to be able to do jobs leaving me to do other things for a while. Then I read in the instructions that after six minutes it has to rest for twenty! Today I bought another one, which has no warnings about running it for more than "six" minutes.
I'm going to ask for my money back. Only $65 but even at that price such devices should not be negligently avoidably dangerous.
My profile said this hasn't been published. What's going on?
Waste of Money – Have had this appliance for 18 months to 2 years and has been used very little. Problems with the motor when turning the knob on and now can't raise the arm so it is useless because I can't get the bowl under the beater or change the beater. No repair available. Show details

My similar mixer – I can't even find my exact Ambiano mixer product name or picture but I have recently bought a white one. I used it for the first time yesterday and couldn't work out why the egg and sugar didn't mix ... soon found out the the flat bottom of the bowl didn't "flow" the ingredients together and there were streaks of unmixed egg ... puzzling at first.… Read more
When washing the basin I felt the bottom of the bowl had a very small depression in its moulding right at the edge to the upright sides [hard to describe but I'm sure any cook would get the idea ....]. How does anyone in product design think that ingredients sitting in a lower level at the outside of a bowl would succeed in schooling those ingredients into the mix being blended? I'm over 70 and have been using my mother's and grandmother's mixers since I was 9 years old ... NEVER have seen a mixing bowl design like this. I don't want to have to be pulling the beaters off to use as a handheld ... the whole reason of buying the machine was to avoid that.
This is the 2nd faulty product I've bought from Aldi in the last few months: the slow cooker I bought developed a crack in the glass lid the first time I used it.
Cheaper prices also need to offer reliable quality, especially when it is any product associated with food.
Mixer won't run – Its noisy. But also the rotary knob has a problem in that it only works intermittently. when this happens, which is now most of the time, the light flashes. I have tried tapping firmly on the knob but the result is it only operates when it wants to, which now is not often. Not the first problem i have had with this Kuchef brand. I am now very… Read more

Poor product – I was given this as a present from my mother who struggles with money. She was very proud to give me such a good looking mixer. Problem is it does not reach to the bottom of the bowl. I have to stop it often to scape the bottom dry ingredients up. Also had trouble releasing the bowl from the machine without spilling the contents. I've converted… Read more

No good – I have had this machine for about 12 months, and used it minimally, with no problem. I went to turn the machine on, and the light kept flashing. The motor would not start. I returned it to aldi, who told me to return it to the manufacturer. I was told that the postage would be payable by me if the fault was mine. It is a very heavy machine, … Read more
so the postage would be a large amount, but as the machine was no use as it was, i returned it by mail. That was almost 3 month ago, and i have not heard a word. Terrible product, and terrible after sales support
Dissapointed – The Kuchef model 419401 I bought from Aldi 16 months ago is the first stand mixer I've ever had, so I didn't really have anything to compare to as such. Did like the machine, didn't like the squeeling noise it often made, then very dissapointed that it hadn't had a lot of use, but stopped working. When it is first turned on, it will work, then as… Read more
soon as it is stopped, the light then starts flashing and it will not turn on again at all, just the light continues flashing. After a day or more, try it again - same story. Have just organised to return it for a refund, they were very helpful, but unfortunately replacement is not available, refund is the only option. Starting to question the Kuchef brand, as I only just returned a dry fryer which was also under warantee but stopped working as well, I really liked that product too.
Please don't sell lousy electrical products. Bad for consumers, bad for environment – I've bought the 5 speed mixer with stand because the price is really attractive. $39.90. However, my excitement turned to disappointment. Firstly, the stand is made of really cheap plastic. It is a hollow stand. The only reason it is able to support the mixer is it has suction caps at the bottom to stick to the table, else it would topple. I have… Read more
to say the designer has used his brain. 5 speed of unbelievable inconsistent speed. The first speed spins so fast that my mixture flung everywhere. I don't dare to try the 5th speed. I have to scrape the sides as the cream beater only beat the centre of the big stainless bowl. Hard to dislodge the beater. My 15 years old handheld mixer is much better than this.
I have bought much better electrical appliances in Aldi years ago. Their mezzo food processor and sewing machine I bought years ago are very good quality. Their recent products seems to be getting a lot worse that we always have to return.
I hope Aldi evaluate their products more. Yes, I love a cheap bargain but if the quality is bad that we have to throw away after a few uses, I think it's bad for the environment and lots of wastage.
I would prefer to save up and buy a quality product. It is also a bad perception to our children who thinks that it's ok to keep throwing things out without realizing that the quality is terrible.
Not robust over time – I've had mine for 18 months and primarily use it for kneading dough - I make bread minimum 4 times a week. The machine has stood up well to the demands I've placed on it, and compares favourably to other machines I've used. Where it is less effective than my old KitchenAid is in whisking. The balloon whisk doesn't have full coverage of the mixing… Read more
bowl. I've remedied this by popping a sheet of folded paper towel under the bowl which raises it slightly, and fixes the problem. I'm really happy with the performance of my machine, and have no hesitation in recommending it.

So 9 months later and it is was some sadness that I have to report that my machine no longer works. It had the same failure reported here by a few others - the light started flashing and it would no longer function. As it was out of warranty, we decided to open it up to see if it was just a loose connection, but it turned out to be a problem with the motherboard. Given the price of the unit, 3 years is not a bad run given that I mainly used it to knead dough, but still, the motor was fine, the rest of the machine and accessories were like new. The last part which should have failed was the motherboard as it isn't placed under any stress. I really hate the idea of tossing out a machine which has such a minor fault. But having it repaired would be almost as expensive as buying a new machine.
Update12th April
Lo and behold I found the receipt and discovered that the warranty period was for 3 years! I contacted Tempo, and was treated very cordially by their help desk. The person I spoke with was extremely professional and helpful. She sent me all the details I needed to return the mixer for a refund - including a pre-paid postage voucher, so I'm super impressed with this company.
I judge a business by how well they handle problems - and going by that, I'd have no issue with buying their products again.
Update 10th May
The refund was processed promptly and cheerfully. And we all lived happily ever after :)
Well made but noisy – Hi i bought this 18 months ago and it has worked fine until now. I originally thought it was noisy so i asked a friend who had a kitchen aid stand mixer. They said theres is noisy too and didnt think it was overly noisy so that made me feel better knowing the kitchen aid also was loud and not whisper quiet as i imagined. Mine broke down today.… Read more
Light flashing on and off and wont run. I googled it and it is a problem other mixers which are identical but branded differently have had but its quite rare. not a common problem when i searched the net. These are made in china and sold around the world under different names. It has 3 year warranty and tempo are happy for me to send it back for repair which i'm doing right now. For the price the machine is well made. My only complaint is once the warranty period is over you wont be able to get parts to repair these machines. Its a shame because if they stocked spare pcbs (printed circuit boards) for these machines, you could easily keep them going for years. Numbers wearing off dials etc is just trivial stuff. Thats why they are cheap. But the bones of these is quite solid. Ive opened and looked inside mine and its well made. If the pcb goes again, i will need an electronics guy to try and find the fault or i will get a variable speed controller pcb from ebay and mount it inside and this thing will prob go forever .Or buy a brand name like kitchen aid cause you can always get spares for them but you pay 3 times the price to start with. Oh and yes the beaters are too high and need to sit lower. It may be possible to adjust the shaft down so the beaters are lower, i believe you can on some other models. I havent taken the top off mine yet but i wouldnt be suprised if its able to be adjusted down. The shaft screw would be on the gearbox in the head of the machine. If hubbys handy , and can open it up, it might be worth a look. When i get mine back from tempo, i plan to do exactly that.
Absolute crap - product and service – The mixer does not go low enough into the bowl to make small quantities. You can't even make some of the recipes in the supplied book. Also, the numbers on the dial are starting to rub off when cleaning. Been trying to get a refund since November last year. Still hasn't been resolved. Will never buy a Kuchef appliance again. This will end up with the ACCC if they keep delaying a resolution to my complaint.
Great Machine – Very solid, who cares about noise, it does its job and works great. I didn't get a red one, only 1 white left. Got it cheaper at $239 as last one left and box was broken. Love it. I haven't stopped using it and if they come back again on special I am buying my daughter one.
