the main problem with this dryer is it turns my sheets into balls and I have to continue to untangle to get dried, clothes are fine its just the sheets, and so annoying my old dryer never did that Show details

Follow-up  · I use bamboo sheets and I’ve tried different settings but no different outcome, and it’s difficult to untangle sheets , time consuming and creases massively, the pillow slips are usually in the middle of a tight ball of sheets, I’ve never experienced this before with previous dryers

This dryer takes hours to dry. 4 hours and a small load of clothes were still not dry. Spun on 1500 setting on washing machine. So clothes were not that wet when put into dryer. Very frustrating if you wish to do more than one load of washing a day. Very unhappy with this product.

Such a disappointing appliance – My mum bought this appliance for my husband and I as a 10 year anniversary gift, in August of 2022. She was visiting us in Melbourne from Cape Town, South Africa and no longer has the receipt. My item has lasted 15 months and now it will not dry my clothes. It spins. Water tank is empty. Though that is no surprise as my clothes are still sopping… Read more

wet even after 5 hours of run time. A real waste of energy too. I’ve maintained it well and have always kept it clean but where does this leave me? Unable to provide proof of purchase and now sitting with a household of 6 with no way to dry our clothes in a timely manner.

Why would you even consider any other brand – I must admit, I was very reluctant buying this dryer. I checked a lot if different outlets for the best product on offer and could not actually find anything available for a long time. My family member decided to gift it to me. Initially, I was not expecting much considering the price . I was very pleasantly surprised after first use. Using… Read more ·  1

Was really good when working – First few months it was great and happy how it performed compared to our old dryer. Then same problem as everyone else is getting started showing up. Initially, cleaning the lint collector then restarting the program works. Now it just won't work 4 out of 5 times. Clearly something is broken. Was able to contact support and told me they will send… Read more

Great dryer for the price! – Ive only just bought this dryer so cant comment on how long it will last but so far dried about 4 loads of washing. I read the instructions and set it to cotton standard as the cotton options are suitable for up to 8kg loads. The display says 2h45m but so far usually completes the drying fully in half that time with the clothes being fully dry. Im… Read more ·  1

assuming it has a sensor that knows the clothes are dry and adjusts the time. The first 2 loads i found the water catchment filling to nearly full so i have now plumbed it in to the sink waste via a 10mm ID rubber hose running from the fitting on the base of the machine to the undersink waste which means no more needing to empty the water tank during cycles. The lint filter is easy to clean and the condenser radiator is easy to access for cleaning if required. The machine is quiet enough, i like that it has an internal light and the settings are straight forward to use. The clothes come out relatively wrinkle free and ready to hang or fold. I doubt ill be hanging clothes on the line anymore. Hopefully a long service life and the 3 year warranty gives me piece of mind and if it fails Aldi is only 2km away. Very happy with it so far though.

Just don't think of buying it – I usually like Aldi products because it's easy to return them or get them repaired. This dryer was a nightmare after only 5 months. I bought this in July 2021. sensor had failed (a common problem with this product according to the repair person). To cut a long story short... In July 2022 after collecting the dryer 2 weeks earlier to replace the parts I get a phone call saying they were still waiting on parts and that these said parts had been delayed. I decided the dryer was no longer worth the stress (The dryer had only been fully functional for 4 of the 12 months of ownership) . I got the dryer back and took it back to Aldi for a refund.

Rubbish - Do not waste your money – Faulty after the first few uses. 'Tank light full' kept coming on and the dryer would stop after 2 minutes, even though the water collection tank was empty. Don't bother. Machine stops working after a few months if that! – Apparently the machine cannot tell that the water tank isn't full and will stop working thinking it is! Getting someone to come and "repair" unit can take weeks and then unit will become faulty again! Yes it is cheaper by far in comparison to the general market but this is why. Epic Fail - too good to be true – Drying sensor questionable. Loads often still wet, not damp (50%). Standard Drying time 5hrs on LED, loads complete in 90 minutes and are damp. Lemon of an appliance and no after sales service – We should have trusted our original gut feeling on this offer being too good to be true. Heat pump drier for normal people! – Guys, $600 is way too cheap for a heat pump drier in 2021, I was nervous because it didn’t add up. I’m very happy to report that this drier is brilliant! I’ve been using it for a couple of months now and I’m about as happy with it as you could be with a new clothes drier! If you want a drier that doesn’t fill your house with smelly hot damp air… Read more

and uses stuff all power this one is the one for you. As it’s a heat pump drier the technology means that you may need to give sheets a little extra hit after the cycle and it takes about twice as long as a traditional drier, I don’t know about you but I don’t stand next to my washing machine or drier with a timer just waiting for it to finish, be smart! Wash your clothes before you need to wear them, buy this bad boy if you see it in stock, if you are a normal person with normal expectations you will be very very happy with this drier! I’m guessing it might be a kogan, which has many positive reviews btw.

I’m response to a couple of negative reviews I saw before posting, it dries normal cycles of clothes perfectly, maybe sheets or really heavy stuff might need another hit but that’s heat driers, seriously it’s grouse, you don’t need to hang your clothes out after using the drier, just put the clothes in, turn it on, wait till it’s finished. I suspect the people writing negative reviews might need someone to review their brain.

Still have to hang out the clothes to dry – Purchased this dryer a couple of weeks ago for $599. It seemed to be working for about a hour but didn't get the clothes completely dry . Unfortunately after about a hour it stopped, we emptied some water from the water container and restarted it but it only goes for about 45 seconds, tried all the trouble shooting stuff With no luck, it is very efficient, 7 stars and the way it saves power is becuase you have to hang your clothes out to get them dry. I suppose It is good for people who enjoy clothes in a drum with a light inside or storing 8 kg of clothes.

Love this product especially the lint filter it's so easy to empty & clean than other models – From blankets to towels everything comes out dry with no pilling. Very quick & simple to use, if you forget something it's so easy to pause & start again. Great for drying pet blankets removes alot of hairs into the lint filter. Show details

Dryer failed after 1 yr. but Aldi came to the party – August 2022 Dryer failed 2 months ago with the error that the water container was full. A new control board took 2 months to get delivered. That's OK. Things can fail and deliveries of electronic components is an issue for all. Anyway, the new board did not solve the problem. Aldi are offering a full refund. was actually quite good. I would buy another like this one if they were available.

Some of these comments apply to all heat pump dryers and are not critical of the Aldi unit. Firstly, the good news is that this unit costs half of the other unit that we have. And a lot less than others. Looking at the construction, it looks no worse. Actually quite robust. The cycles can be very long. Even after that, the clothes can come out a bit damp. Which in some case is not a bad thing. The dryer does not like small loads and stops prematurely. So, you give it another go. There are more than enough options. Just put it into standard and forget. The water collection system works just fine and, of course, means that no water vapour passes to the room. This is a good thing in a lock down situation. I have not measured how much energy this saves but the basic heating system is quite small (so good) but offset but the longer tumbling times. Could be 3 hours.
