Just tried to take out a CTP policy with Allianz, i.e. I was trying to give them business so this should have been a business imperative for these folks. After 10 mins of waiting on the phone (not a bad wait time for a claim had I achieved an outcome!) I was connected to a ringing phone that rang out. Useless! Business given elsewhere. Show details

Time to renew my car rego. I ring you to ask about seniors discounts, none, ok just asking, that's fine. Then we move on to extolling what a bloody fantastic risk profile I have had the whole time I've been paying Allianz, but of which they were blissfully unaware, ie your "unknown" field entries. collision claims, 0 demerit points for decades, never even accused of driving under the influence of anything, much less convicted etc. How a single cracked windscreen replacement claim 2 years ago, under COMPREHENSIVE insurance through an unrelated competitor insurance company, for which I paid more than half the cost, results in an additional 50% added to my CTP premium is masterful [Content Removed] beyond words that even Meriams dictionary struggles with! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ALLIANZ, EVEN PAST THE END OF MY DAYS (wills and estate planning are good for that sort of thing) AND WILL ADVISE ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN TO ME TO DO LIKEWISE.

have I claimed or had accident. I SAID no .2 minutes later she came back with a new quote of $420 . It was very deliberate what this low life did. The best part about it was I actually had 3 points and last year I had 5 points. , A discusting human being who dangled the carrott and pretended she was trying to help but she wanted to charge me more. solicitor refuses to repeat because of how atrocious they were in the circumstances. I can only imagine. Allianz continually request for the same documents and information they have been provided on multiple occasions, causing further stress and heartache for our family. In a cost of living crisis Allianz refuse to pay the out of pocket expenses for treatment, even though they have admitted fault for the claim and agreed to pay the out of pocket treatment expenses. A family that has lost a mother and a child, having to pay for treatment for extreme mental health conditions caused by a fatal car crash, in the middle of a cost of living crisis. . And Allianz just lean further and harder on the victims. When will they stop? When someone else is lost due to this tragedy?
Absolutely diabolical – Took out CTP. Car subsequently didn't pass roadworthy so sent an email on 20 April to Allianz asking to cancel the policy. No reply. uppity staff member refused to apologise just kept saying "ok". Eventually I said, are you going to apologise on behalf of Allianz for the fact I have now had to make contact three times trying to get a simple action completed. She still refused! She spoke to the Qld team however and advised that refund could not be processed until 30 days has passed as they cannot verify that's it is not usable, that is. we could have registered the car and they wouldn't know. Okay, so why didn't anyone reply to my email? Why wasn't I told that when I phoned on 21 April? Why did no-one contact me to explain this? Unbelievable. Will never take out any kind of insurance with Allianz again.
NO REFUND-5MTHS WORTH CTP – Allianz would not give me a refund for a downgrade in class of rego & CTP on my small pantech truck(7 to 6)about $800 as I purchased the truck with the upgrade. So according to them you don't own you rego & CTP when you purchase your vehicle as you are not entitled to claim the refunds on them even thought they are transferred to you???? GO FIGURE!!! lied to by the team member in order for them to try and convince me not to proceed with the claim, when I called them out on this and referred to the PDS, they told me they were reading to me word for word from the PDS, which I had open in front of me. When I called them out on the fact they were changing the words in the PDS as I was looking at it and I would like a copy of the recordings to prove they lied they refused and told me under the privacy laws I was not entitled to those recordings. I asked for a supervisor and was refused. I can say that this is not a honest upstanding company and should be avoided at all costs.
I have taken my business elsewhere.

Basically running a scam - charging for cover that isn't provided – Paid my CTP a day early. They took my money but never issued a renewal which meant I could not renew my rego and wouldn't be able to drive (not great when I had plans and work lined up). call/email if it was a known issue? Was told it should be processed that day - it wasn't. Called Sunday to be on hold again for nearly an hour to be told NSW doesn't answer/work on Sundays even when they've already taken peoples money and have a known issue. Called Monday (on hold for an hour) only to be told they couldn't do anything. Threatened to charge them for my Ubers and days without cover - problem magically solved in 2 mins. Tried asking to be reimbursed for the days without cover - was blatantly ignored and told "have a nice day if there isn't anything else". Whole conversation recorded for my/customer safety.
Waiting three days for the phone to be answered , still no CTP insurance after paying – We have paid our CTP insurance and still have not received confirmation and cannot register our vehicle. Don’t waste your time – Incredibly drawn out process taking far to long from date of accident. Juggled around between multiple consultants all asking to send the same information each time. Mislabeling referrals making the process even longer. Typical insurance company. This process is more traumatic than the accident. They got the payment without letting me know that I am not able to get Rego – I paid my ctp just on the 21 days after Rego expired, they took the money for 6 months without letting me know that I am unable to renew my Rego. Customer service – Got called by one of their telemarketers, told them to take my number off their list because I want interested, I hung up then they proceeded to harass me insistently until I picked up and they had the last word, claiming something about how I would be a training example of a bad customer. Auto charged for Car sold after speaking with customer service and sending email 2 months earlier – Allianz charged me for car insurance after I told them by phone/email was sold, i thought I could get a refund for the unused months - no was the reply Worse yet, they auto renewed 2 months later without permission. allowed me to keep car for another 2 weeks. Then after 2 days they sent me an email saying that I need to pay for my hire car myself. So called them again and waited for another 90 minutes and they did nothing. So I will have to give the hire car back tomorrow during lockdown. So who would be responsible if law authorities catch me and say this is not an essential work and gave me a fine? Highly disappointed. They could have told me this first time and saved me time. I am changing my insurer ASAP.
Worst insurance company ever – The experience I had with this company was profoundly disappointing and beyond a joke. Fair Price – The price is good that it includes roadside assistance. I had a battery failure, The roadside assistance was exceptional. However since then I just purchased another policy with another company as I got a better price than from this company. Rule of thump.... check if you can get a better deal before you purchase.
