Good value however all polices are great until you lodge a claim. Then you find out really how good the policy is. Hoping not to have to find out , hoping it's as good as defined

Only a new arrival, but good so far .......... Hopefully it will do everything they said it would. Very easy to set up. Only problem was confirmation of NCB, but eventually resolved.

I only just switched to Budget Direct, so I can't comment on claims or anything like that. I can just say the set up process was reasonably easy and it was certainly much cheaper than who I was with before.

when I asked them to do few changes in my policy they just cancelled it. The costumer service is so rude. instead helping they start investigating you.. hope they improve their service ...

Worst insurer of the year

Reason went to budget direct it was cheapest. Turn out to be the cheapest & worst service ever.

Been rating 1 driver no demerit points over 15 years. Had someone break in to my car (broken windows & stuff taken out from my car)
- First will take 30 minutes to answer calls
- Then took 2 weeks to get window repaired (I had choice of repairer option, but couldn't use mine)
& $ 600 excess
- Another claim had to lodge for contents. And suddenly my monthly payment doubled.
Had to cancel the claim and find another insurer.

Never ever go with these people.

I wouldnt take any notice of the 5 star reviews most of them Budget Direct writes themselves to make them selves look good.They are really s l o w when making a claim Put the claim in Then you dont hear from them they go out of their way to stall as long as they can it took me nearly 4 months then get they get the claim down as low as they can.

They were pathetic. I had my NO fault of mine, car accident in November. They have called me maybe twice, since the accident. Every other time I have had to call them. I never hear from them for weeks at a time! Useless!

They have asked us if they would be covered for mice damage to a car if they go with Budget Direct.

Dont know about mice damage, but I got my dates wrong about a accident from 4 years ago and they wouldn't pay out accident, which is fine. But they cancelled my policy instead of letting me cancel. Now no insurer will let me take out a policy for 3 years due to having a policy canceled.
