Notice to Reviewers: Allied Pickfords has rebranded to Allied Moving Services.
There was rushing and stress right from the start. My 3 bedroom villa was to be packed, stored and then unpacked when delivered to my new address. The quote was done through video call, and there was some controversy regarding the value of the insurance with two staff saying completely different amounts. On packing day, one lone man was sent to… Read more
do all the packing. He worked hard and continuously all day, but of course did not complete the packing. The next day a team was sent to pack the van, and were not well pleased to find that they had to complete the packing that had not been able to be finished the previous day. It was all rushed as they had other jobs they had to go to. They hurriedly threw things into boxes, not taking the time to label them properly. I paid for 3 months' storage and insurance in Sydney. As in the contract, I was able to call for delivery at a time of my choice, I called for delivery after 6 weeks. I was surprised to be told that the truck would arrive between 12 and 2, leaving inadequate time to do the unpacking that I had paid for. It arrived at midday. The staff worked continuously, but because of the late start, were unable to complete the unpacking by knock-off time. When the very professional team leader phoned in to the office I was told that I would have to unpack the rest of it myself, despite having paid for it to be done. I took the phone and had a discussion and was told that unpacking was complimentary - I said that I had paid lots of money for that compliment! I insisted that they were obliged to complete their side of the business contract. They reluctantly sent out 2 men the following day, who were also rushing to get to another job. They did, however, complete all the unpacking that I required. There was minimal breakage and some furniture was scuffed, but not worth claiming on. I tried to get my refund and was given a caution that I would have to pay an access fee as the van had had to park illegally in the street at the kerb right outside my apartment block. The movers had to carry my goods from the kerb outside, through the front doors to a lift right adjacent to my apartment, and some to a storage container just metres from the lift. There was no carrying up any stairs. Part of my liability for access, according to them is that "there was still a tramp into between the truck to the front door of the apartment that exceeded 25m - that is simply not true! The delivery occurred on 14 November 2025 and there has as yet been no refund. The storage co-ordinator had to enquire from Finance. After some enquiries, the message from Finance was relayed to me on the Wednesday that the amount would be reflected in my bank account on next Tuesday, nearly a week later, ie. today, 23 December 2025 and making some apology about what a busy time of year this is! Yes, for me too. No sign of the refund reflected in my bank account when I checked today. I sent the storage co-ordinator an email to that effect and requesting the name and contact of the CEO as I wished to escalate this appalling experience I am having - received no reply so tried to phone - got VM as "there is no-one to receive your call". All now on holiday, I expect, and the delay continues.......into the new year. I have moved many times in my life, including intercontinentally, and this has been the worst, the most stressful, from start to finish. And no, I would certainly not recommend them to anyone I cared about!!

This company employs thieves, and no one seems to care – I Paid top dollar thinking Allied Pickfords will do the job – instead, what looked like contractors turned up. Boxes and furniture were loaded onto their truck on a Monday from two-bedroom villa to be delivered Tuesday, the following day. I unpacked boxes during the week after arrival at our new home only to find that four boxes containing… Read more
expensive jewellery, watches clothes and a valuable and sentimental model car collection all completely gone. These are four boxes containing these items. Missing.
After making numerous calls to Allied Pickfords and with no contact being made from Management, the receptionist became the spokesperson for the situation which is incredibly unprofessional.
There has been no contact and no resolution.
This company employs thieves, and no one seems to care.

Fast & easy – Allied made what should have have been a stressful day very quick and easy for our family. We can’t thank the team enough for getting the job done :)
If they can't treat their prospects right I don't think they can treat their customers right – The move hasn't even started yet. We are just in the planning stage and a video call through their app has been scheduled with a "consultant" who seems to be having a bad day. At first I thought the call was at 12nn but when I dialled in the "consultant" wasn't there when I checked the email confirmation it said "12nn/2pm" so I thought maybe it's… Read more
at 2pm. Then around 12:09 I got a call from the "consultant" saying she will now send the link. Not knowing what the link is for (wasn't mentioned in the call or the email) I said I already have the link to download their app, she interrupted me to say yeah you have the app now you need this link for the call, so I said yeah okay. She sent me the link but I didn't dial in because I was under the impression the call is at 2pm but then she called me back again to say that the call is actually at 12nn with a very rude and condescending tone. Mind you she was 9 mins late for a 12nn call but still has the guts to give me an attitude. Anyway, I still dialed in. First she's asked for my exact address, I said she has the street address and that I will provide my unit number, once its confirmed that we will be working together. She became defensive and said she needs to know if it has parking, lift level, etc. I said I can give her those info without giving out my complete address, which I did. I can tell she was not happy about that. Then, she kept on asking the exact same questions that I've already answered after talking to her colleague the night (at 6:34 pm) before for 13 minutes. So when I told her that I have already provided these information, she got annoyed and said if you don't want to have this call we don't have to. I responded to say that she's the one who doesn't seem to want to be in the call then she hangs up. I haven't even signed up with them, I am just a "prospect" at this stage but she was so cold, rude, and condescending. The other lady from their presales team was accommodating and responds quickly. I got an email from them saying someone else will reach out to me, a "team leader", but this hasn't happened yet which tells me they are poor in following through so do yourself a favor if they can't do this part right and can't treat a prospective customer right, how will they treat you once you have signed up with them and they got your money.
Worst operation ever – - I talked 4 staffs to arrange moving. They never shared information I provided (for example height limit for truck). Every time your staff contacts me, same question is asked. - 1 item (kitchen cabinet) is damaged and other two items lost its parts (small rubber parts to support glass shelf for TV and 1 leg for office cabinet) : I attached two… Read more
pics. As we did not insure those items, now we have to buy new ones. - moving staff at sites are ok. However, the staff in Sydney put seals with barcode at each items (parcel & furniture). Then when other staffs unload the products at our place in Melbourne, they never check barcode. If they don’t check to count each items, it is just useless process to use such barcode. Although I am still unpacking, so far no parcel are missing.

I urge you NEVER to use Allied – I urge you - DON'T USE ALLIED! We have had the worst experience with them. We left during lockdown, so had to hotel quarantine in another state with our 2 young children. Therefore we couldn't supervise Allied when they packed up our home (4 storey townhouse), moving interstate. They ruined so many of our things, simply not having any care for… Read more
our property. They certainly were not 'the careful movers' they claimed to be.
Furniture that we had in great condition for so many years were scratched. From the scratches, it looks like the movers simply dragged it on the bitumen outside our house into their trucks. Among the furniture spoiled through this carelessness was our cot, toddler's bed, couches, shelves. These items we had insured, but now have the added task of having to acquire quotes for repairs in order to submit insurance claims. Added work that wouldn't have been necessary had they been 'the careful movers' they claim to be.
In terms of other items broken: So many items of glassware were broken. They were very generous with the amount of paper used to wrap the items, however the movers appeared to not have any system or put any thought into packing. Glasses were packed at the bottom of boxes, only to have heavy items like a vacuum cleaner placed at the top of the box, on top of all the glassware. Understanding that small items may be broken, we didn't insure these. However, all these small amounts rack up costs, and we are out of pocket for these.
A similar careless situation with plants. Plastic bags of things were placed on my potted plants, killing them completely. Boxes were used to package orchids and other floral plants, and then shut closed so that the entire plant was snapped in half to make it fit into the box.
Some items never made it to our new home. When I contacted Allied, asking them to help me locate them. They told me that they would look into it and requested the item number. However, the inventory list of items was incomprehensible as the movers did not clearly list the items and I could not decipher which item was which inventory number. The staff at Allied said they would speak to the movers to understand the list as she also couldn't understand it and get back to me. It's been 2 months and no one has responded to me. This also made putting in the claim very difficult.
I urge you to consider any other removalist. You will have an all-round terrible experience with Allied. Save yourself the heart and head aches.

Professional, understanding and great at packing a small truck. Arrived on time and all appliances, furniture and boxes arrived intact. 3 bedroom house emptied in no time as well as machines from garage. Would recommend and use Allied every time.
Allied & Gabriel and team were great with caring of moving all our new furniture from 1 apartment to our new apartment which was difficult with many residents moving the same time. They were very patient and professional & definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Generally good – A long interstate move. Overall the personnel were very polite and helpful, especially Matthew, Jesse and James on the Victorian end. The packing is good so far except lack of labelling, no description other than the room. The TV’s were pack separately to their box, rendering them useless. No labelling as to where the other half of it is. So looks like no TV for the duration, which is difficult when you are on your own. Show details

An awful, awful experience that haunts me a year and a half later. We paid a lot for the packing service along with shipping. During packing by allied a significant amount of items were not packed (left in drawers) we didn’t know as the movers didn’t do a walk through and rushed us through signing forms, so we were unaware items had been left… Read more
behind. We also paid for allied’s end of move cleaning service. The cleaners supplied by allied apparently threw away the items left behind without letting anyone know. They are supposed to report any items that are left behind to the cleaning company and Allied. This did not happen. Allied have been unresponsive and eager to shift blame. Directing me to contact their cleaning contractor directly, who refused to admit any fault, even after admitting in a previous call that in cases where items were left behind the cleaner was supposed to leave the items and report the problem. After multiple conversations with them I was shouted at and called a liar by management. I eventually had to give up any hope of claiming on insurance, a refund or even an apology, Allied and the cleaning contractor refuse to offer and kind of compensation or admit failure of their services. Will never be using them again and advise others to stay clear.
Extremely Disappointed – Poor Service and Lack of Accountability My experience with Allied was frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. during the move: my refrigerator and washing machine. While the refrigerator was partially covered by insurance due to visible physical damage, the washing machine started leaking and making loud noises immediately after the move — making it unusable. I was left with no choice but to replace it out of pocket.
What made this worse was Allied’s response. Despite clear evidence that the damage resulted from mishandling, they refused to take responsibility for the washing machine, hiding behind the fact that I didn’t purchase additional insurance for mechanical/electrical failure. This completely ignores their legal obligation under Australian Consumer Law to provide services with due care and skill — regardless of the insurance policy.
I spent hours documenting the issue, sending emails, videos, and receipts, and trying to resolve the matter reasonably.
Allied’s attitude felt dismissive, unprofessional, and evasive. The damage to both appliances clearly indicates a pattern of careless handling, not a one-off incident.
I would strongly caution anyone considering Allied. Moving is stressful enough — the last thing you need is a company that doesn’t stand by its service or respect its customers. I regret trusting them with my belongings and would never use them again.
Disgusted – Recently got a move with allied pickfords from perth to nsw. Was one of the worst experiences of my life, not only did they damage more than one item of furniture but when you try and claim there insurance company tells you your not insurance for that particular item. Plus the people I dealt with from office was totally incompetent. I have never… Read more
had a worse experience in my life and wouldn't recommend them to my worsed enemy.
Charged me more than I got quoted then then ripped off by their insurance company who mentioned nothing about different insurance.
Can see why they have fallen from no.1 ,wonder where their rated now.

OMG, these guys are amazing. Best removalist ever. It was pelting down rain and they just pushed on. Never once complained, got the job done in a day. What could’ve turned out to be a very stressful day was managed well by these lads. Phenomenal. They really did go above and beyond and then some.
We have moved many times and Allied have been the best EVER. The team we had was Gabrielle's team and they certainly were angels. They were kind, caring, friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble they are the best removal guys we had ever ever had.
Home removal – I have employed Allied to help me to do home relocation. The service is extremely disappointed. My home is a 3 bedroom apartment and Allied charged me 2,500 that is not cheap. But what I got was only sending 2 young men with a small truck. As a result, it had to do 2 runs. Initially the 2 young men tried to pack all my stuff into the truck,… Read more
probably wanted to save time, that at the end causing serval damages to my belonging including breaking my iron board, my clock hand and my TV box. Also, most of the work they were handling was just done by one person, including moving furniture that at the end causing scratches on my new floor. Because of the under staffing and small truck, the job was completed after 5:00pm although they started at 8:00pm. For this type of services, it should be only worth 1,000.
don’t believe the hype no value for customer service ! If I could half a star I would ! – Allied Relocations as a company promises a lot and delivers a subpar service. planning and wrongly labeled etc with items missing AND SOME NOT EVEN PACKED 3) Destination Sydney not providing appropriate number of staff for unloading and helping us u pack when we are go through a major transition. Worst was that your UAE team starting from your sales person did not even know that only two people were provided to unload a lot of stuff. We were not told, and your support team did not even understand that was the contract between UAE and Australia
4) Items were missing and we had to throw a lot of items away like fans as they were dismantled and put in seperate boxes with no proper records 5) No duty of care and follow up to understand customer experience which most global companies want to understand how to improve their service, Allied does not want to 6) No follow up on my complaint as was promised that senior management will call me and it’s over 5 months

Took them to the consumer tribunal to have incorrect charges refunded – I paid 20K for an full container international move to Australia. The far end was fine- very fast, careful, easy to deal with. Australian end was a mess- email communications were a shambles and staff didn't know what they were talking about. Then they hit me with extra service charges 'just in case' the delivery was complex and promised to… Read more
refund the charge if it was simple.
Delivery was extremely simple, the contractors doing the move were great, but then the company decided to keep the extra charges. They ignored emails or were flat out rude until I took them to the consumer tribunal.
At the tribunal they tried changing arguments multiple times, flat-out invented false information and pulled figures out of the air. Fortunately I had measured, photographed and documented everything, and was refunded the extra charges in full.
All the problems happened at the managerial levels, not with the contractors shifting boxes. So the problem isn't with some random box moving guys (who were great to deal with), the problems are built into the structure of the company itself.
Moving with Allied – Recently moved interstate from Newcastle to Rockhampton. Allied were fantastic, very good service and great people to deal with. Highly recommend
FIRST CLASS SERVICE – After selling our home where we had lived for the last 30 years and entering retirement, we were moving interstate and chose Allied to handle our relocation. We were happy to pay an additional fee for our house to be packed for us. The whole team was very professional and our experience first class. Everything went as planned and delivery was as arranged. Many thanks Allied. Show details
Avoid! – Horrendous experience. I moved back to Australia from Dublin and was introduced to this company a month before my goods arrived in Aus. This company uses an extortionately… Read more
expensive external company to treat any items which Aus Customs deem a need to be sanitised. Out of my 6 cubic metres of personal goods, 3 small items were noted to be treated by Aus customs: a vase, a pair of horse riding boots and 3 small pine cones - latter which managed to get packed in a box of Xmas decorations by the Irish shippers.
I was asked to pay over AUD$800 plus GST to treat said tiny pine cones. On request to have such frivolous items destroyed, I was asked to pay over $300. The vase and riding boots were an extra $600 or so. I was told unless I paid to have these goods incinerated, Allied would not deliver my entire, cleared shipment and threatened to destroy the entire lot of my 6 cubic metres of goods.
The staff in the Brisbane office do not answer their phones, are tardy in the time it takes to reply to an email (even when you want to pay them to get your possessions), and overall reek of bad customer service, greed and unprofessionalism. You have to write copious amounts of emails for them to call you with details of your delivery and basically they fob you off as an insignificant customer.
I used a company to ship my goods to Europe a few years ago, who are called OSS, and who were chalk and cheese to these money-grabbing, parochial cowboys… As someone who has shipped possessions 3 times to and from Ire - Aus - Ire - Aus, I would not recommend Allied at all.
After 5 weeks in docks in Sydney port and a plethora of horribly stressful emails and calls, (including phone being rudely slammed down on me on Dec 23rd) I hope to God my stuff eventually arrives to me in one piece. At this stage I am not holding my breath. Sadly.
Bad communication, Bad all round, Bad experience – Booked the removalist a couple of months prior at which stage I wasn’t sure where I was going But we agreed on Terwantin. belongings as it was to arrive in Maroochydore on the 14th!!! As far as I knew my belongings were to be stored in Maroochydore from the beginning, no one mentioned till after the move they would first be stored in Brisbane!
So I didn’t get my furniture till the 22nd. I had to go and buy a blow up bed, bedding, a chair. The first night I had to sleep on the floor..
The boys who packed, left their empty drink bottles scattered on the ground. One of my sculptures was broken and I had to clean up the mess. I had to undo the hose on the washing machine, with arthritic hands, because it was policy! The job was hurried, apparently they had another to go to after me. Arrived at 7.30 and said they be finished by 11.30! 50 cubic metres apparently! I I didn’t have time to run up to the Gold Coast and back to get boxes, so I bought my own. Because I didn’t use their boxes , they won’t collect them! So, no boxes, no pick up of boxes! How much did that save the company. They wouldn’t even bring a few spare boxes on the day, even when I asked the manager!
Did the left over space in one of my containers get used for someone else’s possessions?
What were all those stickers for, didn’t see anything get checked off when My stuff was finally delivered, even found one item of mine on the front lawn two days later.
Apart from this , the guys who unpacked on the Sunshine Coast said it was the worst pack they had seen. This was packed by the Gold Coast people..
The Maroochydore movers didn’t even have a screw driver to re assemble all the items the first guys took apart! I haven’t got enough hours to tell you what a bad experience this has been . If I new where to complain other than here I would. Not even a complaints department. !! If I have to go to fair trading I will, because what happened tome has been so wrong !
2 years in and not a reply. I wish I’d have had enough energy to take them to Fair Trade.

Unable to deliver, extremely poor service – International move from Singapore to Australia that should take up to 4 weeks, they were unable to deliver within 8 weeks on account of no crews, we had to go and get our own alternative removalist to complete the job via collecting our 2 containers from their wharehouse. new home and started unloading, the marble top fell out of the truck onto the driveway, thankfully it was still in original packing so was not damaged. From that point on we found that our things had not been loaded very well. Lounge furniture they had disassembled were just left and electric recliners not connected. One very heavy chair which is an electric recliner, they left in plastic with the arms removed but not covered. Electronic equipment for sound system was pushed into boxes with no protective packing, just piled on top of each other, an amplifier was badly dented due to this. One of the TV’s was not in a box, just covered with a blanket. One of our wooden sideboards was damaged due to something heavy being packed on top. Also scratches on the dining table. Unfortunately the attitude of the guys upon arrival at our new home the attitude of the guys was one of “let’s get out as quick as we can “ We have used this company before but this move was not the quality of our previous experience. Extremely disappointed.
