Fast, affordable and friendly Very professional staff who worked hard and got through our 4 bed 2 bath in amazing time! Every person who entered our home introduced themselves and shook our hands, asked us to check everything before they left and nothing was too much effort.
I constantly mucked them around with moving date due to settlement issues and even though I was freaking out, the Darwin office handled it with professionalism. Mostly ok – The Darwin end of things was great. Alan was helpful as were the gents who loaded the container. The Northern Rivers end was a little less acceptable. A box of extremely breakable items was dropped off the back of the truck when they were unloading and an irreplaceable item of my grandmothers was smashed to smithereens. this was particularly heartbreaking and likely careless. No compensation available as I packed the box despite the removalist admitting fault and it not being a matter of how it was packed but rather how it was handled. I think in this case a little bit of discretion would go along way otherwise, the gents unloading can pretty much treat your belongings any which was they choose with no recourse. Disappointing.
A1 on both sides of the continent! – Moved our house contents all the way from Darwin to Hobart. Removalists on both sides were fantastic. Furniture arrived on date stated.
Numerous time-keeping issues at great cost – Had a move from Melbourne to Darwin, moving a family members things internationally and my own interstate. They were 2 hours late to, what was supposed to be, my family members latest given time (9am to 12pm), arrived at 2pm after being called. I let this go as sometimes people have bad scheduled days. could not oversee the packing as they had to leave.
Two days later my own things were to be collected, between 12:30pm to 2:30pm. When 3pm came around we were calling the scheduler and the movers themselves and did not hear a thing. Only when I reached the moving consultant did any traction happen and the movers arrived approximately 4:15pm. Waiting 12:30 to 4:15pm, once again, no explanation. I wasn't planning on hounding anyone, maybe the Melbourne office is having a tough time. If we were informed that we should expect them after 4pm, not a problem, we have other things that require our attention. The waiting for them when we could have been doing something useful is what was irritating here.
Besides that, I was given no delivery date, just a vague "we'll try for the end of March, if not it should be early April." So, imagine my surprise when on the 29th March getting the message that delivery was coming on the next day. Well, I have a full time job so taking a day off with no notice is less than ideal. But, the delivery time was good so, once again, I wasn't to complain. We set up the delivery day to be April 3rd. Confirming they're coming at 7am, we even asked if they're sure as 7am is very early for business to open. Was told "Yes, 7:00am, 7:30 if there's traffic", but we're quite close to the office. I woke up at 6, made sure everything was clear for the things to come straight in. I wait until 10am, as I haven't heard anything, and call them. Was told by the scheduler that our job was set between 2-4pm. Apparently, "The job has a green light on our system, which means that the scheduler called and confirmed the time with you on Friday. Did no one call?" No. They did not. If I had been informed that the time was between 2-4pm, my partner and I would not have taken a full work day off, costing us both an income. So now I have been up since 6am, to be around for my longest wait yet, 8 hours minimum, with no real explanation given.
I was not planning on making this a public post, but there is no customer service email address given for the business, and their social media pages are less than efficient in getting back to me.

commenced and finished timely. Considering the Wet Season is current in Darwin, and many roads are now inaccessible- the drivers did very well to get to Darwin without being held up.

Great service from pick up to off load – We had to move our four bedroom house from Alice Springs to Darwin at very last minute. Called other removal companies who didn’t bother to follow up after arranging a quote. Allied was very proactive and that won them the job. came and quoted and was spot on with a very competitive price. We had Tass and Celeste come to pack our belongings the day before uplift, they were efficient and friendly. The next day Dale, Brad and Hayden came to move everything and again were simply brilliant. Great at their job, quick, friendly - they were helpful and polite. Nothing was broken, not a single scratch on anything. Could not fault them on anything. The entire experience with Allied was worry free and would highly recommend them. Damaged furniture – * they destroyed our brand new baby change table. After 2 calls to them I was told there is only one person's that could take my complaint. So far no response. the month date and did not budge. I rang and emailed multiple times where I kept getting yes it will be delivered on the set date. I was told trucks are coming and going and my case had been escalated ext ext. Was not happy * positive note the darwin loading crew were fabulase and friendly I will not use or recommended this company after this.
The best moving company around – I can’t talk about Allied Pickfords enough. Great removal service everytime – I've done a few long distance moves with Allied Pickfords and they always leave a good impression. of the move was emotional for me, but the Allied Pickfords team helped us get everything finalised and down ALL those stairs. I cannot express how wonderful it was to have such a professional team help us. We arrived at our new house and everything was set up in just over an hour.
I want to mention the office ladies were very quick with their emails and the movers on the day explained everything clearly and politely - especially to a tenant who was a little teary with all the stresses from moving.
As mentioned, we usually use Allied Pickfords for our moves and will continue to use this company for a long time to come! So very happy with the level of service and now recommend them over and over again to all our friends and family!
Good and reasonable move – We moved from Darwin to Perth, Allied Pickfords were available on a short notice and everything was on schedule and time they mentioned at the beginning. Fantastic Service - Highly recommended – The Darwin & Bunbury teams did a fantastic job at pickup and delivery. I always use Allied Pickfords and they certily didn't let me down.
