and the move-in team in Brisbane was equally good. a four bedroom house with a full workshop of equipment was packed carefully and not one item damaged. Could not ask for a better company to work with.

Packers did not seem to have a list of items, so an item was left behind Packers did not seem to take notice of “fragile” labels on boxes until it was pointed out Overall packers and transport was done well. deliver our furniture when promised on Friday the 18th of March and now spending an extra $2000. The other issue was allied try and sell additional junk insurance products which are against the Australian Consumer Law and offer no proper coverage and are pretty much trying to charge you for insurance which they already have. I would advise any consumer not to use this company and if you purchased additional insurance make a complaint to APRA and ACCC.

Not “careful movers”. Expect your things to be broken – 1 bedroom apartment moved from VIC to QLD. Washing machine dented, dryer significantly damaged (two panels dented inwards), hole punched in bedside table, two legs of a table broken. Not “careful movers”, terribly disappointing. Good Service – Collected in Vic then Moved eight cardboard boxes 30kg each from Vic to Qld on time with good contact to collect on suitable day and time and received without any damage

Estimated dates mean nothing - avoid – I was quoted 10-12 weeks for a small home move from Melbourne to UK. The team that collected the goods were great but communication has been extremely limited from my contact at allied. It will now be 8.5 weeks before my shipment even leaves Melbourne. Everything arrived in the condition they left, and every item that wasn't in a box was individually wrapped in a padded blanket, including a push bike. 10/10 for service, and the 6 guys that were involved were friendly and easy going.

Terrible experience DO NOT USE ALLIED PICKFORDS – Firstly, the quote was grossly inaccurate, as I was asked to pay more when the packers came. rude and unhelpful, and I was told that they operate on a 'part-load service' and I had to wait until there were more deliveries in my area. I was not told this upon taking out the contract. There was no flexibility in dates that they eventually offered, if you were out of the country or away/busy that particular day, you were pushed to the back of the queue and had to wait another few weeks! I could NOT choose a date that was convenient for me. The delivery didn't even happen in one go - because they miscalculated and didn't have room, so I then had to wait for them to schedule in another delivery date that was convenient for THEM!!! Upon delivery, I had a lot of breakages which was devastating, as fragile items had not been packed adequately. I was persuaded by the rep. to use Allied Pickfords to pack for me, as they were supposedly skilled at this, and it would be much safer, and that my insurance wouldn't be so high. I wished I had packed myself. Upon unpacking the boxes I was shocked at how some things had been carelessly packed, and this, from a company calling themselves 'the careful movers'! Their insurance company were also difficult, disputing everything and taking far too long to pay out, I am talking months! It was absolutely terrible service and I would not recommend this company to anyone. This review went into a 'mediation' on the Product Review website. The response from Allied Pickfords was that this would be investigated and they would be in touch. Over 3 weeks later and they have still not responded to this review, only to say that it will be investigated. This again highlights the disgraceful service you will receive from this company. I cannot stress enough to AVOID them at all costs.

Avoid at all cost! – We recently moved from Melbourne to Queensland with Allied Pickfords. The packing was atrocious! We had kitchen utensils thrown in boxes with outdoor footwear, delicate items with no protective wrapping and many items lost in transport including the essentials box with all the bolts and screws to reassemble items. as the property we rented whilst building was significantly smaller than the property we left so therefore around 2/3 of our belongings had to be stored. When we had the storage items delivered many things were returned to us broken, many of these were sentimental presents bought by parents no longer with us so totally irreplaceable. We took out insurance but our items were in storage for 12 months and they said it exceeded the timeframe for reimbursement of the $16,500 damages/loss they had caused. We sought legal advice but the costs were escalating just to get AP to respond with basically tough there’s nothing we will do to put right our mistakes. We attached pictures of all the damage and evidence of the extremely poor packing but they just didn’t care. My advice is, if you value your belongings then never ever trust them with Allied Pickfords, they certainly show no evidence of’the careful movers’

Nothing was too much trouble! – We moved our family home of 15 years. One of the worst experiences of our lives – Never have I been so stressed with moving. Crew were late apparently after an added job and they rushed with absolutely no regards to our valued possessions. Crew at other end commented it was packed very ordinary. were turned upside down, tubs were dropped and shattered. Seriously a horrible experience. Contact was made but ignored after many communications. Seriously could not condemn a business more. Better off spending more for a company that cares. Their motto is an absolute joke. They seriously need to look at their staff who obviously don’t respect the company mantra. arrival which forced us to put the item into storage which meant that we had to pay an extra "handling fee". The Move Manager also made mistakes in emails about the date that the shipment was arriving, which did not help us avoid the extra "handling charges" which we thought was already included in the large amount we already paid.

Overall the service was very unhelpful (everything was a "no") and it felt like the Move Manager was on some kind of incentive scheme to pile on extra charges.

Boxes were not removed on the same day as per the agreement and I had to make serval calls to get this resolved and I was told, "we'll pick it up sometime later in the week" which was not acceptable. The delivery staff didn't really want to unpack the boxes/furniture, they wanted to move to the next job. The basic assembly of furniture didn't happen because the delivery staff didn't have any tools.

day. I had organised to meet the Real Estate Agent at 9am, so didn't even have keys to open the house.

After the delivery, I was told to call the depot so that the empty boxes could be picked up. It has now been a week and a half and the empty boxes are still sitting in my driveway getting wet and dirty. I've not received any communication and have called twice but been told both times that they are busy and will schedule the pickup soon. I get that it's a busy time of year, but to receive no communication at all about when they will be picked up is very poor.

Overall, a very underwhelming experience and I will not use them for future moves.

Their carelessness, your risk – Was not all bad. Some of the moving blokes seemed like nice people and the timeliness was good. Interstate move – I had the contents of my two bedroom apartment on Level 8 of a Melbourne CBD apartment tower moved to second floor apartment in Nelson Bay in NSW. The pickup and delivery went exactly to schedule with no breakages or damage. The empty boxes were picked up a week after the delivery, and I was glad to see them go. NEVER EVER use Allied Pickford, you may as well have walked your stuff to your next destination – I had 14 tea chest size boxes going to Hong Kong and was told it would be take 6-10 weeks, with a boat leaving every week. I was the one who had to chase the company down to find out where my boxes were and when they would be delivered. national freight manager [name removed] who offered my no help and ignored my correspondence. The company claimed it was because they had a few other orders cancelled and couldn't put it on an earlier shipment as there was not enough and it would cost me more. However, at no point was I told this and given the offer to pay more in order to ensure my belongings arrived. When they finally reached Hong Kong, three months later, the company again changed the rules in correspondence. They said it would take 5-7 days to clear customs, so I locked in a day with Allied Pickfords that was 9 days after the goods arrived and organised a day off work. Two days before this delivery date- I went back to Allied Pickfords to confirm they were coming and they said the earliest I could get them would be 11 days later. Once again they changed the rules to suit their incompetence. My move - which really was not that hard- took the company 14.5 weeks to deliver. A far cry from the 6-10 weeks they spruik. There was no industrial action, no bad weather which they claim as a "get out clause". Simply incompetence and a total lack of communication on their behalf. What I am puzzled by, if I don't do my job I would be fired, but this company continually fails to do its job and its staff are incompetent, rude and fail to meet customer service expectations and deadlines yet they keep their jobs. At no point have they ever offered any alternative or resolution. I would never ever ever use them again.

A Good Responsible, Friendly, Helpful Team at Both Ends – We started using Downard Pickfords in 2004 from Singapore to Melbourne. Then from McKinnon to Warragul, and Warragul to Wyndham Vale Vic.
