Notice to Reviewers: Allied Pickfords has rebranded to Allied Moving Services.
We are moving over a 2 and a bit weeks, the pick up part is completed and took almost 3.5 days. enough furniture and other stuff to fill a five bedroom house, shed and a sea container. thanks to James and the team for the effort put in and to the guys for going out of their way to be extra helpful. They were polite and cheerful and did not mind me getting in the way :) big thanks to all involved.
I want to share my recent experience with Alliance Movers and Sirva during my move from Perth to Victoria. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. When my furniture was delivered, the delivery person informed me that the container… Read more
had fallen during transport. As a result, several of my furniture items were damaged. My belongings were in good condition before the move, so this clearly happened during handling or transportation.
What upset me even more was the response from the company. When I raised the issue, they refused to properly review the situation and told me to fix everything myself. There was no accountability, no proper investigation, and no support offered.
Moving interstate is already stressful, and this situation made it much worse. This has been the worst moving service experience I have had in Australia. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Follow-up · After multiple attempts alliance movers pay me the compensation. Thank fod.

Excellent service from beginning to end! I was updated throughout the process when the removalists were coming to pack up my house. During pack up the two removalists were polite, happy, friendly and took care with my personal items.
The team were fabulous, they were organized, polite , careful with our home and boxes, they actively listened to our needs, asked questions when in doubt & really worked as one team with us. We had a lot of things to move across the country & Allied did that with care & great skill & communication at a read price.
Allied not really working together out – We chose Allied for our international moving from New Zealand to Perth. First, it takes 3 months and 3 days for the furniture to arrive. Our furniture (5 bedrooms) was moved and we departure on 22/12/2023. It arrived on 25/03/2024. Though we were given various reasons, we do not think it should have taken so long. We were extremely dissatisfied… Read more
with the conduct of the delivery team, comprised of three young men who arrived at 12 PM and went off by 3 PM yesterday. We were told that they would arrive between 10AM to 12PM, Thanks God, they finally appeared on 12 PM.
They carried out their duties very passively and made minimal effort to resolve issues. I had to request to check and protect our timber floor, which I believed any trained worker should have done so without asking. Unfortunately our entrance door metal bar was dented due to lack of protection.
Moreover, they refused to hang up the dryer, stating that their responsibility was solely to remove dryers rather than hanging them up. I am uncertain of where this policy is outlined.
Of particular distress was their refusal to assemble our two Ikea beds, despite our prior understanding that this service would be provided. This fact was not communicated to us until yesterday, after the entire process of inspection, quoting, signing-up and shipping overseas had been completed. Whats more, when we unpacked, we found quite a few kitchen stuff was broken. It was quite disappointing especially when we remembered the experience we moved from Perth to NZ six years ago with another moving company, not a single kitchen item was broken.
Despite the overall very unsatisfactory service, we remembered some staff who came late helping us install the beds so that we could sleep on our beds after so long time without beds.
Anyway we survived the long waiting time for our furniture, however we would like to share our experience so that people can have some idea when they choose moving companies. Forget to mention that Allied's headquarter is not in Perth, so every time it is hard to communicate due to time difference.
major fail in duty of care several damaged items – Completely disgusted with the WA workers who loaded and the head office who are now failing to respond to my official complaint about damaged items. My move was from WA to VIC. The first bad signs came with Allied cancelling the job 2 days before pick up. More time and money of mine wasted on the phone (I pay for my calls) to fix that and because… Read more
they eventually did pick up a day and a half late everything else snowballed late creating other problems for me. My beautiful brass porcelain bed survived 13 moves and 40 years until Allied got their hands on it and now it is wrecked. How they managed to do this is astounding. I wrapped the entire bed in 2 layers of bubble wrap, one layer was removed, the layer remaining was shredded. The ceramic spindles were further wrapped in 6 layers of bubble wrap but the bed has been so roughly handled and jammed in without Allied blankets that the ceramic spindles are now crazed (very fine cracks), one of the main brass knobs has been bent out from the metal post again due to rough handling, and a metal piece split, 1 of the ceramic spindles were out of place but thankfully I was able to move them back in, but they are forever looser now.The brass knob and metal piece are repairable but Allied are failing to respond. Several ceramic plant pots again well wrapped have been broken. The coffee table, metal frame with a black coating has been scratched on the legs, my white display cabinet has had the handle broken off and paint damaged. Happy to take money for the move but not own their errors. No way would I ever recommend this company even if you were lucky to get Adam and Noah who were very good offloading in VIC. If you make a mistake you own it, apologize, fix it if you can - but not if you are furniture removalist apparently. They have never provided a copy of the inventory list and work sheet which they should have
Bad Service, no care factor – Moved a 3 bedroom home from Australia to NZ, and back again. Hard to get hold of on phones, took a week to respond to emails. They left some of our stuff behind in NZ! Poor service, no care factor. Have been waiting a month for a refund they agreed to, and still waiting for a response to our insurance claim! So much stuff broken, locks missing in… Read more
containers, latches snapped off completely. And they just don’t care. Even talking to managers and they don’t respond! Would never recommend these people, worst service. Late deliveries and pick ups, no customer service at all.

Had a large 6 bedroom and a small 4 bedroom homes with belongings for 8 adults and 5 children. The 3 man team from Allied were prompt, friendly and worked tirelessly over 2 days and nearly 14 hours with great care and speed also great backup from the management / office team. We would recommend them to anyone considering the big move. Cheers Show details
Allied were very courteous and helpful having to send a piece of art to a family member. The ladies on the phone were very helpful in explaining what needed to be done. The artwork was packed carefully. The persons collecting the artwork were very careful and considerate. If i had any questions they were answered in a polite and timely manner. My… Read more
relative received the artwork (Perth to Sydney) in excellent condition at the time we were advised it would be delivered, door to door. Thank you again everyone. Well done!
The staff from Allied Kalgoorlie were absolutely fantastic to deal with. I was moving from WA to NSW and James could not have been any more helpful and made my move stress free. I had questions and requests and nothing was a problem. The staff on the big day were very polite and had the job done efficiently. I highly recommend Allied Kalgoorlie.
Negative reviews
Be cautious with Allied’s “competitive” quote—it comes with hidden costs. 1/ They changed our confirmed moving date last minute, which disrupted our short-term accommodation and caused a lot of stress. 2/ Despite clear written instructions, they shipped our belongings without confirmed insurance. Several items were damaged or went… Read more
missing—totaling around AUD $10,000 in losses. 3/ To make things worse, they didn’t help with unpacking as promised in the proposal, even though I was six months pregnant and alone at the time. Communication has been poor, and their responses have failed to address the full scope of the issues. I’ve now had to escalate the matter to NSW Fair Trading. Overall, a frustrating and costly experience. Would not recommend unless you're prepared to manage everything yourself and deal with the consequences.
Extremely untrustworthy. It's heartbreaking that thieves work for the company. Thousands of dollars worth of missing property and household items were not treated with care. Avoid like the plague.

NOT careful movers - Do not use Allied – I moved some furniture, whitegoods and boxes from Bunbury in Western Australia to Melbourne, Victoria. Had to pay 2 weeks of storage to book the delivery date, but on the day they couldn't deliver because it hadn't arrived. They assured me they would contact me as soon as it arrived, but when I called back over a week later to find out when that… Read more
would be they were able to book it in for another weeks time. Boxes arrived with some damage and some items broken (even in boxes marked fragile), floors were scratched when they dragged items, and doorways chipped. They were not able to put the glass display cabinet back together as it had been separated into parts when moved. They said that a handyman would come and put it together because the screws had been lost in transit, but when I called the company to arrange I had to go through insurance and there was a $100 excess, so I waited until my elderly parents visited and we were able to do it ourselves when we worked out they were putting it together upside down and bought screws from Bunnings. The washing machine didn't work on delivery, needed the drive motor replaced, which is usually damaged when handled roughly during moving. May have been prevented by the transit bolts that I handed to the removalists but they said that they weren't necessary. I thought I'd paid for insurance, but didn't realise I had to pay extra if I wanted electrical goods to actually work at their destination. Allied are NOT careful movers, do not trust them with your posessions.

Moved from Margaret River to Northern rivers nsw with Allied, they were so helpful from beginning to end, arrived on the date specified, and the boys from the Gold Coast depot who trucked up our furniture were amazing, highly recommend this business, went so smooth and would not hesitate to use them again
Steve and his team were efficient, friendly and took great care in handling our furniture move. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Definitely will be using them again in the future. Thanks again for the great service.
Relocation Perth to Bridgetown – Utilised Allied moving services for relocation from Perth to Bridgetown. Great service and friendly professional team. Highly recommended.
Chose another Removalist – We used Allied to relocate from WA to QLD, uplift was early December 23. My husband went through with the 2 guys prior and told them what was priority to pack and what wasn’t as we only wanted 1 container and it wasn’t worth paying for extra. Whatever we couldn’t fit in the 1 container that wasn’t a priority, we would have given away to family or… Read more
taken to the tip. The 2 guys decided they could fit everything in until they got to the end and weren’t even close, of course they packed a lot of stuff we said wasn’t priority and what was left was things we actually needed. They fit some items in their dog box behind the cab at a cost of an extra $830 to us of course and we had to get rid of a lot of items we would have needed instead of getting rid of items of no value. The container drop off went reasonably smooth when they found where it was minus some damage to furniture, but we are still waiting on the extra items that got put in the dog box at the extra cost with no eta. My husband has called multiple times and is just met with excuse after excuse. We won’t be using Allied for our next move or ever again for that matter, I highly recommend you look elsewhere if you don’t want to be out of pocket additional costs that they should have absorbed, and if you want your belongings in a reasonable timeframe.
Helpful and efficient – The whole procedure from booking a quote, to preparation (delivery of boxes and packing supplies), to pick up to delivery was seamless. I moved personal effects 1600km and they arrived within a week of pick-up.
Professional from initial contact right up to uplift – I found dealing with allied was a great experience from the initial contact with all staff in Perth right up to the uplift and the contact with Cairns staff todate being very helpful and accommodating in organising our delivery
Worst company to deal with – What a horrible experience from all the team! Once they got our money, the care factor disappeared. Late responses, if they responded at all! Constantly asking for paperwork to be resent as they “misplaced” it on their end or were just too lazy. They even forgot to load half our stuff when we left NZ to move back to Australia, and didn’t even… Read more
realize till months after when our stuff arrived in Oz! It was just sitting in their warehouse in Auckland. No refunds given, despite actually not utilizing all the space we paid for in the shipping container. So much of our stuff was broken or damaged, but do you think we could get anyone to return our phone calls!! Would never recommend Allieds, you are Better off using monkeys. No duty of care from Allieds.
Unprofessional and highly disappointing – 7 weeks since uplift and balance shipment not delivered. No updates whatsoever and every time I call they cant provide any updates. I spent 15k on this domestic move and get treated like its a favor.

Bad communication. They Don’t answer your calls. I’ve been trying to get this to align the best I can for weeks now – It’s been in storage in there yard in perth. 12m3. Now it seems a minimum month before they get it moving to you. It’s a slow communicative process. Very unhelpful and the don’t care

Terrible Service – I chose Allied Moving Services for my interstate move and the experience has been beyond disappointing. I paid for a single delivery but ended up with a split load. Essential items were separated between the containers resulting in us having to borrow basic kitchen items and linen and buy towells until the other container arrived a week later. … Read more
One of two beds was only half delivered. They managed to include garden tools but no kitchen essentials. There were some clothes but no shoes. We specifically requested, and paid for, special packing for fragile and antique items. Half of these fragile items were packed very poorly and just included with general kitchen items e.g. two antique clocks were packed with heavy kitchen pots - one with a pressure cooker! The removable exterior clock parts were removed and scattered among other kitchen items. This despite us being assured by the Sales person that Allied knows how to pack old and antique items and also despite the packer telling us he was a specialist at packing old and valuable items. When I raised concerns about the split load I was told by the Operations Manager that they would investigate and come back to me. They did not. I followed up with email to the same Operations Manager and the Sales Consultant requesting investigation and a refund for the service I did not receive (but paid for). Still no response. I then followed the mediation option through the Product Review forum and was immediately contacted by a Customer Service Person who expressed disappointment at the service I received and that they would escalate the issue to management for investigation. 2weeks later and yet again, silence. I'm still waiting on a response from anyone at this company. Allied are quick to demand payment up front but once they have the money the care factor stops. Communication between sales and operations seems to be missing and customer service in responding to queries is non existent. The pick up and delivery teams were on time, friendly and helpful and that's the only reason Allied gets one star. If not for those teams, they would get zero stars. Certainly not the “careful movers” they advertise to be. Do not use Allied Moving Services - not worth the money.
Lost goods – Lost goods, did not survey house prior, required more than one container and charged extra despite having moved less goods one year earlier in one container, forgot extras in Perth
I felt aggrieved – this really forced me to write this review – I tried to avoid writing this review for some time but people need to know what we went through and learn from it. We moved interstate to Victoria in November 2021. As early as August 2021, we had discussions with AP. A staff member JC, a very pleasant man, visited our two-storey, three-bedroom home in Perth to do an inventory of our personal… Read more
effects; he came a second time to finalise what needed to be packed. About a fortnight from the moving date ie 15 November 2021, we tried to contact JC to confirm that they are picking up as agreed, by phone, email, text. NO response – zilch – nada. It’s like JC, his office, mobile phone have all been swallowed by a big sink hole! As if moving interstate was not stressful enough. We had to scamper for another removalist, who was more professional and could accommodate us at short notice. To date we do not know what happened to JC. No apologies either. So this is what AP calls “clear communication.”

Worst service I've ever had; to the point of having to cancel the removal – I initially engaged with Allied for a removal on 5th Oct; we had a video link up on 12th Oct. We had a few emails back and forth with quotes and removing items etc. Throughout the entire process I stressed that the uplift date HAD to be on or around 19th Nov and that I had to be out of the premises on 22nd Nov. I have this written in an email. On… Read more
12th Nov I received a book it email and completed the required paperwork. On 15th Nov I tried contacting the agent I was dealing with.....all day.....to get the uplift date confirmed. I rang him directly, I rang the main office number, I sent emails - basically I felt like a stalker - no one contacted me. On 16th Nov I started the process again. I finally got through to someone after I refused to get off the phone who told me the removal was booked for the 29th - 10 days after the date I needed it. One week after I was to be out of my house. Basically the call was; well that's when we can do it so that's the way it is. I was very upset; was eventually told to leave it with them and they'd call back in 10 minutes. Didn't happen - I eventually received andautomatic email telling me my removal was booked for the 29th. In the meantime I had to madly try and find someone else who could do the removal; at short notice out of a remote location. The complete lack of service and then empathy when I finally did get to speak with someone was absolutely disgusting; not to mention the stress that was caused. Not ONE SINGLE PERSON returned a call or email. NOT ONE.
My advice; call A to B Removals; don't even bother finding the phone number for Allied.

Absolutely terrible experience. I will never use or recommend Allied to anyone else – 3 bedroom house. Long distance move Albany - Karratha Not only the movers delay our container but also all crew were extremely arrogant and incompetent to understand our request. Don’t even bother to speak to [Name Removed] at Albany office, he is a compulsive liar and absolutely hopeless in everything. We’ve had life threatening situations with one of our infants because of the removalist. We will never use Allied again. Show details

Don't bother, massive disappointment both times we have used this company – 1st move was an entire 3 bed house, from down south to Jurien Bay. floor and no one ever apologised or commented on the lack of communication. Cost over $9,000.
Second move, the quote took ages to come through as people went on leave and it went through to the keeper. The guys turned up on the day of the move with no packing material despite the fact that I clearly indicated Packed by owner NO. I did underestimate the amount of boxes needed, however through miscommunication Allieds thought they had no packing to do at all. Despite completing the inventory, they also forgot TV boxes and had the bedding marked incorrectly too. Don't know how they got all of it wrong when they picked up the same home contents on the previous move where we were left sleeping on the floor. We were charged an additional $1430 due to this miscommunication regarding packing. The driver seemed angry he had to do the extra work.
When our container arrives, none of the boxes they packed were labelled, no name, no destination, nothing on most of them. Our delivery got split, waited until 8pm first delivery. Second group of guys were lovely, but once we went through everything the box they packed for all our bathroom laundry belongings was missing.
We rang to advise we are missing an entire room of things, comment was well the guys are trained the do a sweep of the house before they leave. They acted like they could not have cared less. Promised a call the next day, no one ever rang back. Comment was made but you signed everything was there. Yes, because nothing was labelled. Cost to move very basic 3 bed over $7,000 2.5 hours down the road.
Owner of our old address went to go through his house, he found the missing boxes of our stuff are sitting there. He was super angry that when they were packing apparently they threw their rubbish, tape rolls etc. all around his house too. I rang the Albany branch really angry, have been dismissed because I raised my voice. Yes, I would imagine a lot of people would raise their voice when Allieds mess up their house move. Some of the staff clearly need to be retrained. It is also good customer service to call immediately, acknowledge the problem and apologise. Sloppy 2nd rate customer service. Will NEVER consider using Allieds again and I will tell everyone to avoid.
Still waiting on our stuff to be delivered. Oh, and don't expect an apology or an offer of money back, you won't get either one.
Total waste of money. GO THROUGH MT BARKER EXPRESS, such customer care with [Name Removed].
