Being charged full price for a service that wasn’t delivered, then asked to pay more to fix their failed solution, is unacceptable. We refused to pay and requested a refund.

Alpha pest control lie, scum and dont take responsibility for their services or employees. So don't waste your money and avoid at all costs .if you try to talk to them about issue they waffle on about unrelated things until you get fed up and hang up. Please avoid at all costs.

Told them they would not be paid and politely ended the call. They stated they would keep ringing me back and they did on approx 5 subsequent occasions which went unanswered.

Sam was the initial contact person and then I was put onto another employee of the company. They were very unprofessional and I am quite glad I cancelled as I feel they would have overcharged, based on my dialogue with them as outlined above.

animal removal service after reviewing online information, which indicated that removal of a dead possum would usually cost $100-300. The villa is on one storey and has two bedrooms and easy access to the roof space. The smell was so strong that my daughter did not want to wait until the following week and therefore requested a quote from Alpha Pest Control through their website that evening. She was contacted by phone shortly afterwards and informed that someone would attend at 10am on Saturday 29th March 2025. On Saturday morning, the technician did not attend at 10am and after waiting for some time, my daughter phoned to cancel the technician’s visit because she had an appointment at 12pm. She was persuaded not to cancel and informed that the technician was on his way. The technician attended at about 12pm (2 hours late) and searched the roof space, eventually finding a dead possum over the ceiling of a corner of her bedroom. He asked my daughter to provide plastic bags (six) to put the carcass in and then disposed of it in her red-topped waste disposal bin. The technician attended for about one hour. My daughter was informed that the cost of this service was $700, which included $150 for deodorising chemicals and an extra $150 fee for removal of a maggot-infested carcass. She queried the high fee, especially as she had provided plastic bags, and the fee was reduced to $650. She was asked to pay by EFT, which she did. However, the invoice was not in the name of Alpha Pest Control, who she had originally contacted and phoned when the technician did not arrive on time, but in the name of General Pesty Solutions (ABN: 30 658 448 198). About five hours after the technician left, my daughter turned on the fan in her bedroom because there was a persistent strong smell in the house, despite having paid $150 for deodorising chemicals. This resulted in maggots falling from the ceiling onto her bed. She was unable to sleep in her bedroom that night and when the bedroom was inspected the next morning, there were more maggots crawling over the bed and carpets (she has video recordings). My daughter phoned Alpha Pest Control on the morning of Sunday 30th March and requested attention to the problem that day. She was told to send an email to generalsolutions.AU@gmail.com outlining the problem, which, in my opinion, appears to be a diversionary tactic. We are very unhappy about the service received from this company for the following reasons: 1. The professional standards advertised on the Alpha Pest Control website were not provided. 2. A quote was not given, even though requested. 3. The technician did not have appropriate equipment, eg. disposal bags for an animal carcass. 4. The reasons given for charging an excessive fee were clearly opportunistic. 5. The work undertaken was obviously incomplete, given that maggots fell from the ceiling onto the bed and the smell remained after the technician had finished. 6. The response to a complaint about the service provided by the company was completely inappropriate.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! – Called Alpha Pest Control to remove a possum from my home. They quoted $400-$450 to trap, remove and release the possum as well as some additional remediation and cleaning services post-removal. They performed none of these services. bait the trap myself after the small green apple left in the trap failed to entice a possum. After the possum was trapped, they were uncontactable, and I had to organise removal and release of the possum myself. No further contact from them, except to ask for the trap back. I lodged a formal complaint with Alpha Pest Control but have just been given the run around, with repeated emails (to a nondescript email address) asking for the same information. I suspect the person who came out and set the trap is a sub-contractor - Diana Maintenance - and either breached the conditions of his licence to remove native animals in NSW or does not hold a licence. Regardless, they are unprofessional, unreliable and should be avoided at all cost.

Beware, scam!! – This is an absolute scam. Charged three times the price quoted to remove dead rat from ceiling. from the moment they arrived, the cars, the clothes, the conversation. They left a mess, damaged the manhole and even dropped maggots on the floor which we had the pleasure of finding later as unfortunately we didn’t check before they left as we wanted the ‘technicians’ out of our house. No invoice/receipt provided, just a text to pay, I wish we hadn’t! I have sent several emails trying to have damage repaired and it’s a total scam. Emails replied signed by a number not a name and insisting on a copy of the invoice which we weren’t given. I can’t even find Alpha pest control as a registered business. Any reviews that are positive are clearly by people associated with this scam. I’m sure the address in Brisbane CBD will be fake as well. I will be reporting to relative authorities to try and have this scam shut down so no one else is taken advantage of. Please do not use Alpha Pest Control. If you take the time to have a good look at the website you will realise it is a total scam and completely fake.

Not worth your $ – Called these guys to get rid of a dead rat in the roof. They left without bothering to put back part of the ceiling that they had unscrewed. They didn’t even have a screwdriver to remove the panel, and didn’t clean the mess up just sprayed disinfectant on it and left.

I booked a service with them because their website said they were experienced and had expertise, but they sent someone from Pioneer Maintenance Services. In hindsight I should have told the young inexperienced Indian boy to go away as I hadn’t booked the service with them. He didn’t inspect the building to find out where the possums were getting in to the roof space. He asked us to provide sone food to place in a trap. Cheek of it!! He showed us that he was inexperienced and not an expert as he had to ring the office and ask a question about the release of possums. All we got for $300 + gst was a cage! They didn’t even tell us when quoting that there would be the additional gst amount. We feel that we were duped! It would have been cheaper to have bought our own cage for $40+ Pioneer Maintenance website doesn’t say anything about pest control/ possum removals. They are mostly a corporate cleaning service as was evident from the paperwork we saw on the seat of the vehicle driven by the boy. Advice to others - if you make a booking ensure that it is Alpha who turn up and not a subsidiary, make sure that you ask what the total amount will be. Ask them if they will do a full inspection of the building. Seriously, I would recommend that you find a local company who tell you what their experience is with possums and how they can help you. Do not bother with sharks like Alpha or Pioneer.

I was expecting Alpha Pest Control to arrive, but Clean & Fix It Specialists turned up. I showed the pest controller where the infestation was, and he proceeded with the eradication of the swarm. He mentioned to me that it should take about 2 hours for the process to work and advised me that to leave the area for at least 10 hours for complete eradification. He mentioned that he had noticed quite a lot of spider and bug activity around the windows and crevices, and said he would spray above the windows and elsewhere. The evidence shows a minimal spray pattern and streaking on the glass. He did most of the windows and doorways to the back and sides of the dwelling, but omitted to do the front windows and porch. All the work was performed in less than 30 minutes.

When he completed his work he came inside and calculated the costs. I was completely flabbergasted and very annoyed when told me the total cost was $605.00, particularly as my wife and I are aged pensioners. The breakdown of the invoice was $250.00 for wasp control treatment, and unexpectantly $300 for general pest spray, plus 10% gst $55.00. The additional treatment was not authorised by me, or quoted by the technician. This issue has really made me feel financially exploited and vulnerable, at the whim of these unscrupulous individuals. I will never deal with this company again.

- Couldn't answer our questions at all because he didn't really speak English. I dont mind if someone can't speak English but it made the job difficult because he couldn't understand us or our concerns.

-Charged us $495 for this stellar job, going rate is usually $200, up to $400 if job is difficult but as he simply dumped a cage on the grass near our house and left, that seems a bit rich. Cages usually run for $70-100 so next time would just BUY one rather than bother with this.

Really disappointed and mortified that I payed for this "service". Do your research and use someone else!
