These guys look after you. Which I like. Great quality spas and saunas. I bought both! Would buy again. Cheers for a great product guys, start to finish. Cheers - Gareth Show details
I recently had a problem with my purchase but the management got on it and the way they handled my frustration changed everything. I want to specifically shout out Matt and Marcy from the sales and management team. They didn’t just ignore my complaint; they actually listened and took the time to understand my perspective. It is rare to find a… Read more
company that prioritizes customer care like this. While the product itself is high-quality, it is the people behind the brand that make Alpine truly great. They turned my disappointment into gratitude, and I’m happy to update my review to reflect how well I was treated. Alpine is lucky to have this team!
My wife and I recently purchased an Alpine steam sauna. We were unsure of what brand and model. After reviewing a number of brands we visited Alpine Spas in Auckland and were looked after by Alima in the showroom. She was very patient, knowledgeable as she took us through the options. It became clear that the Lucca model was for us, Alima provided… Read more
a quote including Wifi and finally an outdoor shower. We were very happy with the service, knowledge and deal from Alima and Apline Spas.
Buyer Beware - Firstly, our swim spa arrived and we believe we were significantly overcharged by their delivery company, AAA. We were charged an additional fee for a track carrier that was never used. The delivery fee was $2,200 and was only 28km and involved direct over-the-fence access. They denied we were overcharged, with the company later… Read more
claiming they had sent a large enough truck so the carrier wasn’t required and the truck they send was more expensive anyway. However, we have text messages confirming they were on their way to collect the carrier at time of delivery, as it was rented. Despite this evidence, our concerns were dismissed.
After installation, the swim spa was found to be faulty. We contacted Alpine and, to their credit, they sent a technician out promptly. Unfortunately, the technician spent more time on the phone being guided by Alpine’s tech support than actually assessing the issue on site. Incorrect parts were sent on several occasions, despite technicians providing photos of the required parts. After multiple visits over several weeks, the spa was eventually fixed. Overall, it was a horrible repair experience.
We were paid some money for our inconvenience and “average experience,” with the clear intention of ensuring we removed our negative review.
Then, after only eight months, the Velcro on the spa cover deteriorated and no longer holds properly. As a result, dirt and leaves continually entered the spa, especially on windy days. This led to contamination, and we were forced to dump 4,000 litres of water. Alpine washed their hands of the issue, stating it was not covered under warranty, and offered $150 for us to buy our own Velcro to stick over the damaged sections, despite the original velcro being stitched into the vinyl. For a cover less then 1 year old we should have had a replacement as their suggested solution is not at all practical. At the time of writing this we have not received anything.
In addition to this the panels are bowing in the heat - apparently this is normal but time will tell if they stand the test of time.
The moral of our story: don’t buy from these guys. While they do respond to issues, the solutions provided are poor and leave a lot to be desired. Happy to pay people some money to keep them quiet but not really address the quality of the product or parts.
Disappointing build (not as expected) but can be rectified to use it. Settled on the Lyon 3 seater Sauna after much research and comparisons - one big positive of this one being that the front is 8mm glass (most are 6mm). Turns out it's 6mm and it lets in the cold in, just like the others. I have had 2 other saunas (SunStream - much more… Read more
expensive - with a wood and heat panel at the front) and you can definitely feel the difference, however if you are not too fussed about the following, it is nice enough for a cheapie sauna:
1. No heat panels at the front and the side panels do not go to the glass either. This means your legs will never be as warm as the rest of the sauna in the seat. Luckily, I sit on the bench seat of this three-seater as a one-seater with my legs up in it (side-ways). I don't recommend you sit in it as-is for this reason.
2. 6mm all-glass front panel with gaps: Contrary to the website which boasts thicker-than the competition glass at 8mm, the glass is unfortuately its weak point at 6mm and lets in cold air. I ended up buying a silicone strip for shower doors from Bunnings for the second gap in the door (it comes with one at the end of the door but not on the hinge side) and this is a big improvement. Support tried to tell me this is for air flow but it's a weak point in its thermal performance. There is an vent you can open up at the top of the sauna if air flow is of concern. My next improvement will be to install a thermal curtain to lock in the heat more at the front. It won't be pretty but it will be more efficient.
3. The lights are not great, with just 2 strips. To turn them on auto you have to use the control panel each time and press the light button 7 times. A little annoying. More expensive ones come with remote control.
4. Thermostat is at the highest position in the sauna (ie. the hottest). Our SunStream has the thermostat at a more realistic height (chest/face) and that explains why "55 degrees" is not the same in both.
5. All panels are covered by a cloth, meaning I'm not sure how I will be able to clean them. I used to have a solution to wipe the panels after use in my other saunas. Time will tell how gross this gets.
Overall if you're looking for a cheap sauna, this does the trick. But you will need to make some adjustments to it in order to get the most out of it.
Support have advised me they will change the website to no longer reference the 8mm thick glass (which is false advertising, IMHO), and I will be checking that this is done sooner than later. To me it was a big deal, perhaps if you've never owned a good sauna before you wouldn't be able to understand why this is no good and how much better it would be if the glass was indeed 8mm. No compensation or anything was offered for having sold us something contrary to their specs. And they have acknowledged it is not to spec.
Great all-round experience. From the first conversation with Jay through to delivery, Alpine Spas have been great to deal with. I really appreciated the help from the after-sales team with water care and getting everything set up properly, especially as a new spa owner. The spa has been well worth the money, and the whole experience felt easy and genuine from start to finish.
After extensive research we settled on the Lyon 2 Sauna, following purchase the Alpine Spas team communicated clearly about delivery, the item was received in good order, installation instructions easy to follow, and first "saun" (as we now call it!) was a great experience. Looking forward to making a "saun" part of our weekly routine! Show details
Don’t expect after sales service! Alpine Spas were contacted two days before dispatch of my spa supplies order that the delivery address was incorrect and they were unable to intercept my order. It is now being sent to the incorrect address. I emailed and phoned the Brisbane store about the need for the address to be changed and they were too… Read more
lazy or they have no internal communication to catch the order before it was dispatched. Initially my error but Alpine Spas provided me with no assistance to make the correction. RUBBISH SERVICE! They obviously only care that they now have over $11,000 of my money for the spa purchase and don’t give a trash about any after sales service. Cathy
A fantastic purchase! I bought a Matterhorn Spa and it has been an absolute lifesaver. I sleep better, recover faster, and now have the perfect escape at the end of the day. I had a few questions when it arrived, so I called their service team - they were amazing. No hold times, quick responses, and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend!
Not very happy with what I was informed and how my warranty was negated. The wording was a 'little loose with the facts'. For a new product that was hardly used, hiding behind policies and procedures instead of looking at the facts, is not professional by my/most service standards. Happy to talk to anyone wanting to purchase any goods from this supplier 0408860993.
I shopped around. A lot. Originally Alpine was out of my budget but with a black Friday sale some clever follow up - my outer limit and Alpine's outer limit found a sync. Their service is beyond first class, and sometimes when you buy a sale item, services and support disappears. On collection they had to play tetris to make it fit, but skilled… Read more
dispatch and tradie staff made magic happen.
The product does what it says on the tin. I am a massive evangelist for Alpine now. So glad I chose them. Can't recommend higher. From pre sales, sales, dispatch prep, collection and product. So rare. So so rare.
I recently purchased the Lucca sauna from Alpine Spas and I’m genuinely impressed. After comparing a lot of options, the Lucca immediately stood out as being much higher quality than other saunas in its price range. The cedar timber, the Havana heater and the overall build feel closer to something far more expensive. Assembly was straightforward.… Read more
It takes time, but everything fits together cleanly with no cutting or drilling needed. Once built, the sauna feels extremely solid and doesn’t creak or flex when you move around. The LED lighting and cedar aroma really add to the experience.
The sauna heats well and the tiered seating is excellent, especially being able to sit higher where it’s naturally warmer. It’s also something the three of us can enjoy as a family. My wife, my daughter and I all use it for different reasons - recovery, relaxation or just winding down together. The compact footprint means it fits easily into a smaller outdoor area while still feeling premium inside.
For the price, the Lucca delivers outstanding value. It genuinely feels like a sauna in a much higher price bracket and is a great option for anyone wanting a proper traditional-style sauna at home.
I strongly suggest avoiding this company, there are other options. One star is being generous 1. It is not 100% cedar but in fact a composite of about 13 different cheaper woods including pine, eucalyptus and spruce. I found this out from fair trade after my builder said it was not cedar and I made inquiries. 2. Beside the texture this was… Read more
evident because even after applying the protective oil, the wood started to show blue-green discolouration after about a week indicating there is a fungus infection, which cedar naturally repels. 3. Custom service was rudy and dismissive of my concerns and gaslighted the whole issue.

DO NOT buy the Alpine spa chiller unit. We purchased it in last year and started using it in September. The unit broke down for the first time in October, then subsequently in January and now again in April. It's been not working for more months than it has worked, and was stuck being fixed with Alpine spa for about a month and seems like we will… Read more
need it to be sent to fix again. Very soon, the 1 year warranty will be over but we haven't even used it for half the time it has been purchased.... I'm sure they'll try to repair it again until the warranty is over and it's just going to be a waste of time. They should just step it up and offer a refund/return so I can go and purchase from a competitor or exchange a new one as the unit is clearly faulty.
Faultless purchase experience from this company – Needing to replace our twenty two year old spa, one of the spa shops we visited was Alpine Spas in Brisbane. Was attended to by salesperson Matt who was both friendly and professional in guiding us to a Matterhorn model which met both our budget and features requirements. Matt talked us through the features but was in no way “pushy” (like some… Read more
other spa salespeople we had encountered).
Purchase After deciding on our purchase, a 20% deposit was required with delivery time only a couple of weeks away and final payment to be made a couple of days before delivery. However, as we had our old spa still to remove and a bit of renovation of the area required we said we would not be able to take delivery for at least another four weeks. This was no problem.
Delivery Was contacted by the delivery team a couple of weeks later and a mutually acceptable day and time was arranged. Only requirement was some details regarding the route the spa would need to take to get from the truck to the concrete slab for which we sent through a video. On the morning of the delivery, received a cal from the delivery team stating there had been a cancellation and would it be OK if they came a couple of hours earlier. No problem. When they arrived, they were quickly able to get it into position and were very accommodating of my requests for slight adjustments to ensure alignment relative to the slab was to my complete satisfaction. They even asked if they could assist reinstalling the pool fence section I’d had to remove to give them access. Before leaving, they also made sure to supply some helpful hints regarding looking after the spa shell and cabinetry as well as pointing out what was in each of the associated boxes of accessories that came with the spa.
After sales After receiving the spa I have had followup calls from Matt at Alpine Spas ensuring we are 100% happy with the spa as well as assisting in an explanation of the chemicals required to maintain it. At one point, I thought the spa might have had a defective control with an increasing amount of water leaking from it. After texting Matt, he was quick to request pictures so that he could get the “tech team” onto it the next day. Fortunately, I found it wasn't necessary as the fix was to remove the lever and hand-tighten the collar below ...which must have just worked a bit loose. However, the takeaway from this was how quickly there was a response which bodes well for any other issue there may be in the future.
Overall My wife and I have been very impressed with the purchase, delivery and after sales experience received from Alpine Spas. There is nothing about this experience and the quality of the delivered product that would cause us to give any thing but a five star rating overall.
