AI reviews summary
The overall sentiment for AmazingCo is highly positive, with most users praising the "mystery picnic" concept as a unique and engaging way to explore both new and familiar regions. Participants frequently highlight the fun of solving clues and the quality of the local artisan vendors involved. However, a segment of users reports significant dissatisfaction regarding value for money, particularly in specific regions like Noosa and Brisbane, and occasional logistical failures in planning and customer support.
Pros
- Discovery of Local Gems: The curated routes successfully lead participants to "hidden gem" cafes, boutiques, and scenic spots they likely would not have found on their own.
- Engaging Interactive Elements: The scavenger hunt-style clues and conversation prompts are consistently praised for being fun, interactive, and well-balanced in difficulty.
- High-Quality Produce: Most participants report receiving fresh, delicious, and generous portions of artisan food from friendly and welcoming local vendors.
- Ease of Organisation: Users value the "stress-free" nature of the experience, where all bookings and routes are pre-managed, allowing for a relaxing and well-paced day out.
Cons
- Inconsistent Value for Money: Several reviewers felt the cost ($120–$220) did not match the quantity or quality of food received, with some describing the "premium" options as underwhelming.
- Planning and Logistical Errors: Recurring complaints include poor route planning (unnecessary backtracking), technical glitches with the clue app, and occasional confusion where vendors were not expecting the booking.
- Inadequate Family/Dog Tailoring: Some "Family Adventures" were criticised for being identical to adult packages with no child-specific activities, while dog-friendly bookings sometimes ended at locations where dogs were prohibited.
- Poor Communication for Issues: While standard bookings are easy, users who experienced cancellations or sought refunds reported slow or non-existent responses from customer service.
Verdict
AmazingCo offers a highly recommended experience for couples and groups seeking a novel, adventurous way to explore a region without the burden of planning. While the majority of experiences are seamless and generous, potential customers should be wary of "premium" add-ons and verify the suitability of "family" or "dog-friendly" tags for their specific location.
Our Half Moon Bay picnic was fun! We paired up to solve games that led us to various businesses as we filled up our picnic basket. Disappointed that no bread came with picnic, but everything else was provided (and we bought extra cheese and more at several businesses). We also took our time and shopped downtown by visiting the shops that were next… Read more

We had an amazing adventure on Father’s Day solving clues, picking up our lunch treats, exploring the area and enjoying our lunch on the docks by Lonsdale Quay. Great quality, variety and more than enough, food. Show details
My boyfriend and I went on the Mystery Picnic at Darling Harbour/The Rocks. I’ve lived in Sydney all my life but my boyfriend was laughing at how I looked like a tourist exploring so many spots I’d never known about. We had plenty of time to take things at our own pace and there were also some nice bonding exercises/questions included. The booking experience is very simple and reliable. It’s a great gift for friends, family & yourself.

I enjoyed a wonderful B-day today on my mystery picnic adventure in New Hope, PA & Lambertville, NJ, created by AmazingCo. I highly recommend this event if you are looking for something different than the norm. picnic. We leisurely walked around New Hope and Lambertville, taking in the sights of these two picturesque towns. You do work up a sweat once you’ve reached your final destination before heading out to enjoy your picnic feast. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect!
Mystery picnic – I had an excellent experience with amazing and co I decided to do the mystery picnic at the Barossa valley. The food was amazing, and so was the picnic destination. I definitely recommend the mystery picnic Show details · 1

Incredible experience – This was a birthday gift and was so incredible. We hadn’t explored Noosa before and this was the perfect way to see it all. So many beautiful local stores to support, and so many beautiful spots along the way to check out. I couldn’t recommend the picnic enough. Great gift idea too!! Show details · 1
I recently went on an Amazing co picnic with my son for some catch up time together. It was a really great way to catch up, the clues were fun to do together and we loved how they had different things in the area to do. Every place we picked up food from was so friendly and organised. I really could not fault the experience it was a great memory highly recommend! Show reply

A very nice mystery picnic was gifted to us from my parents through AmazingCo and we chose Sedona for it. It Was like a scavenger hunt with clues to find items around town for our picnic with our final destination ending up at Crescent Moon picnic area in Sedona, AZ which, amazingly, was where my son and Daughter-in-Law got married. It was a fun adventure with friends. Quality of food provided was excellent in Newcastle. My brother did centennial park and food quality was mixed. Wouldn’t repeat it in the same location but would recommend to first timers. Value is a bit low. Show details · 1

I surprised my family over from the UK wirh a mystery picnic in the Barossa. I was happy with all the stops and it was a great way to show them around wirh a bit of a twist! I was happy to actually find some now spots and some tourist attractions on the way which I had never visited before. I would highly recommend this for a cute date or to show the family around if they are visiting our beautiful SA! Show details · 1

What a fabulous experience our Mystery picnic was. Not deterred by torrential rain, we braved the conditions as we went about collecting our delicious and plentiful picnic supplies. We spent a lot of time talking to the locals who were all warm and welcoming and more than happy to share their knowledge of the Clare Valley region. Matt from… Read more · 1
Sevenhills suggested an alternative picnic spot that was undercover and we feasted looking out over the beautiful valley. The quizzes and questions were fun and we cannot thank enough the many businesses that are involved. Highly recommend

I booked the Mystery Picnic with Friends at Evanston and I had so much fun! I loved solving the puzzles and figuring out clues to the next food destination. The distances between each stop were also great because it gave us a moment to walk and admire our surroundings. I’m also a food adventurer so it was exciting to try the different food items… Read more · 1
that were prepared for us at the different locations. Since we had a 3 year old with us in the group, I would love to try the Mystery Picnic with Family.
AVOID AVOID AVOID… Honestly such a disappointment!!! my partner organised this for a belated Valentine’s Day in NOOSA and it was incredibly low budget… we had only FOUR actual food stops which included a croissant each, a small salad to share, bread stick (stale) and the worst cheese board I have ever seen.. it included cabanossi, very cheap… Read more
perhaps hotdog/ cheap salami, cocktail onions and cheap cheese and thrown in a cardboard box all together. That’s IT for $160.00!! oh and a bottle each of normal juice you can buy at the supermarket from the fridge NOT freshly squeezed or a decent size . Calling this a picnic is a joke we chucked most of it out as the last stop was so unappetising.
I mean in this economy this was taking the Pi** . Would recommend those wanting to do it in NOOSA keeping your money in your pocket as although the shops were super friendly.. the bad food ruined the tour and lack of shops and planning had us finished in under one hour and felt it was overall lazy planning. Shame as from the looks of it the other areas they do this tour put in the effort!!

I ordered a board game from Amazon Australia on the 3rd of May. As it was coming from the US, the expected delivery date was May 12th. On May 11th, I got a message saying it was "to be delivered tomorrow". On May 12th I got "to be delivered today".… Read more
On May 13th I got "Delayed, not yet shipped". Since then it's been a battle to get anything happening. I've tried at least six times to get the matter resolved but I've met with ZERO progress. I still don't have my game (it was in stock, by the way) some 18 days later. I am at a loss where to go. If you do order from Amazon, make sure that it's not from the US, as you probably won't receive it!
Follow-up · After much trying, I was finally contacted by an Australian Amazon rep that could get the US Amazon to do something! Within a week, my game was on the way and because they ended up sending the cancelled order as well, I got two! However, I didn't have to pay for the second one! The game is great and our family likes the one they got for free, too!… Read more

Fountain Gate to pick up our matching outfits for the day and grab some breakfast before continuing on our little adventure. Bub drifted back off to sleep while we drove through the countryside, ready for a slow and peaceful day together.
The Mystery Picnic experience was so thoughtfully done, solving clues that guided us through the gorgeous little towns of Trentham, Kyneton, Newham and Macedon, collecting different picnic foods along the way. Every stop felt unique and charming, and it gave us the chance to explore places we may never have otherwise visited.
Walking through each beautiful town with our baby sleeping peacefully most of the day, soaking in the fresh air, the quiet moments and simply enjoying being a family of three made the experience even more magical. The whole day felt slow, gentle and full of love.
Such a special way to celebrate my first Mother’s Day, highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxed, meaningful day out filled with beautiful scenery, delicious food and little moments you’ll remember forever.
Follow-up · Parking was like trying to park in any town street, just in the side of the road near the location. We did have to park further away for one of the clues but was nice to walk around the town on the way there. Best food item would have been the range of cheeses from one place. Clues were pretty easy, one clue I had no idea where to even begin but my husband knew how to do it straight away. Other than that they were super easy to complete.
I received a delivery from Amazon yesterday and I was livid and extremely disappointed yet again......ARAMEX does all the deliveries in Sydney as well as the Metro areas as I live in Penrith. When I collected my cardboard box I noticed a tear all… Read more

Saturday we headed out with our first clue of our Mystery Picnic. We parked at Venice Beach and grabbed our yummy looking goodies from our first 2 stops. Our clues had given us some sites to find, so we visited the Venice… Read more
Canals and even met a new breed of Frenchie. We had 4 more stops to pick up parts of our picnic, but found an amazing looking cookie shop that we just had to try! Not disappointed at all. We ate at Ocean View Park until we couldn't eat anymore. So much fun and a great way to spend a beautiful day!
AmazingCo was a wonderful and delicious experience. The picnic scavenger hunt took us to parts of Georgetown that I never knew existed. The puzzles were fun and not too hard and food was delicious. From lattes to turkey and brie sandwiches, everything was perfect. I highly recommend if you want a fun, mysterious, and yummy date with your significant other.

Amazing experience, I've done two with my girlfriend and we can't wait to do more. An excellent way to commence a long weekend away with great food, fun activities, and plenty of room for singing along to road trip tunes! Ridiculously overpriced and underwhelming. Mystery Picnic in the Swan Valley WA. Received less than half the value paid in food items, five "clues", for locations via puzzles, two of which were at the same venue. Venue 1 we received one quiche (as in, for one person), one piece of banana bread, a loaf of bread and two drinks. Venue 2 in the same… Read more
location we recieved crackers and fruit. Following further query, it turned out the supplier had forgotten our cheese (as they weren't sure what pescetarian meant), and we were handed half a round of camembert, and some cubes of other cheeses. Venue 3 we were handed a box of coconut rough. Venue 4 we chose a mustard, with sweet or savoury option on offer.
Valentines Day add-on ($20) was some additional online themed prompts and that was it.
All up paid $180 for the disappointing experience. The day was meant to be a special Valentines day event which was soured by feeling epically ripped off of our hard earned money. Two emails providing feedback have gone unanswered. Please save your money, buy some nice food, and go on your own adventure picnic
We did the Mclaren Vale for couples experience and it was a good but I wouldn’t say Amazing. Definitely not value for money. We only visited 4 places and I thought there would have been at least 6. our last stop and we received 2 pieces of cake which was quite nice. We got a Port sample which was given to us in a small preserving jar, this was a bit weird! I thought visiting the winery we would have received a bottle of wine to complement the picnic food. The highlight would have been the fresh sourdough loaf of bread and a visit to beautiful Port Willunga beach ️

We did the mystery picnic to Mandurah. We really enjoyed Mandurah and found walking around very engaging and interesting. Shout out to the giant sculptures. was at a brewery in an industrial park, we were both laughing at this stage! I have no idea why anyone would want to visit this concrete jungle. We were given a tiny wrap to share. It seemed really stingy when the experience cost $160. We were told to bring a bread knife and cups but I have no idea why? Interestingly the clues given by the online app did not register correct answers. It was very glitchy and we had to skip ahead. We went off track from the experience and ended up seeing more giant sculptures and went to the beach..

What an amazing experience - I went on my first picnic with my cousin, mother in law and aunty. It was a great day, well spaced out and plenty of food. Cant wait to do it again
Our friends and us enjoyed the murder mystery at Westcott Manor dinner party we threw at our house. All of the resources helped add to the vibe of the night. I was able to join in as the host too, as the resources told me not to look. A fun experience and very reasonably priced! Show reply
The mystery picnic was fun. We really enjoyed this unique experience and were lucky to choose a quiet day ( a Wednesday) so the retailers had time to chat and talk about their wares. There were lots of interesting snippets of information about the areas we visited. Venues we hadn't visited before of known of, were discovered. A pleasant day was had and recommended. Show reply
Our Mystery Picnic in Notting Hill was great - even though there was a mistake with one of the clues (that has since been put right)! customer service before the day itself was very good: I had made an error with the date of the booking, but it was quickly and politely corrected for me.
