Great idea, poor value for moneyHave just completed the Mystery Picnic Date- The Hinterland, in Qld.
The idea was good, but in terms of value for money it was less than satisfactory. We collected the items for our picnic from four different venues for which $150 was paid for the experience. When we sat down to “enjoy” our picnic at the end of the experience, this is what we had before us ……
Chocolate Factory…one chocolate bar, cost $13.95
Maleny Food Co….a ploughman board, cost $35 (did not come with “crusty sourdough” as on cafe menu, just a few crackers.) Not sure if it w... Read moreas the cafe eat-in version, or a “tasting plate”. Maleny Cheese….one small cheese $6 and a cold drink each , $8 Sweet and Flour bakery Mapleton, one French stick, $3.50 and one sausage roll to share….yes, TO SHARE!!! $4.80 it will be missing in the pic as we’d already eaten it! Total: $71.25 In addition, the quantity of food was not enough for a couple, considering men generally eat more, so as a consequence, we were left feeling hungry at the end. The staff at each business were lovely, friendly and helpful and we would be keen to support their businesses again. My daughter who is a single parent working full time paid for this with her children, as a Christmas present to us. Quite frankly, we could have had a filling lunch at the Maleny Pub, with alcohol, for less cost than the picnic, and walked away with a fair chunk of money (less AmazingCo reasonable expenses) still in our pockets, allowing us to spend it in the food stores of this charming town, all the while not using petrol!
Wonderful date conceptLove the feeling of walking into stores and getting free stuff Show details

So good we booked another oneAbsolutely loved it! We received the Newcastle picnic as a Christmas gift and enjoyed it so much we straight away booked the Hunter Valley one! We upgraded for the Hunter one and it was worth the few extra dollars. We loved the puzzles, finding new spots in familiar places and enjoying the delicious food choices.
Just do it, it’s fun! Show details

"Amazing" experience absolutely on pointSuch a fantastic experience!!! So much fun working through the puzzles to work out our next destination. Food was so delicious and had way too much. Great route through the hills and well organised. Can't recommend highly enough! Show details
Fun Date Day!I really enjoyed going on the Mystery Picnic Date. It was fun to solve the puzzles to figure out where we were going, and to walk around small town Elora. We live only 20 km away but had never visited before and it was nice to visit the Gorge and other picturesque spots and to learn about the area. The food we got was delicious and the value was good compared to what we paid for the experience. I am hoping that AmazingCo will offer more mystery picnics in this area so that we can go again another time! Show details · 1

Incredible experienceThis was a birthday gift and was so incredible. We hadn’t explored Noosa before and this was the perfect way to see it all. So many beautiful local stores to support, and so many beautiful spots along the way to check out. I couldn’t recommend the picnic enough. Great gift idea too!! Show details · 1
fantastic idea but not quite as expectedWe attended an amazingco mystery picnic today for valentine’s day in the hunter valley, the idea behind it is brilliant.
the price tag was $220 for the picnic with the 2 cold treat options added on as a cool it down package.
the items for our particular picnic came to a total of roughly $116.90 based on what the price tags / consumer advertising in store came to meaning you are paying just over $100 additional for this particular picnic.
and while i understand effort goes into organising the initial itinerary and ordering these items for the ... Read more
Not worth what you pay forMe and my partner got it for Valentines day. We booked the Premium option, thinking we would get some wine and extra food and clues. We paid 70$ more, and we only got an extra cheese and bread, plus one extra clue. The description said it would be around 6km walk, it was not. It also said it would take 3-4 hours. It took 2. Including the time eating the picnic.
Overall disappointing, and not worth it. At least not the premium option. Show details
A Really Fun Day Out!We were given a picnic for 2 as a wedding gift. We had so much fun working out the clues & driving to different locations. We went to many places we didn't even know were there, enjoyed the food, the scenery, the interesting places and each other! What a great gift. I'll be the one giving the gift next time!
