Stay clear or this place! Sharon has the worst customer service and judges people like shes the Queen, everyone else is just peasants or as she would call it "dregs".

Run away from these guys – There should be a option for no starts just for companies like this. They hire out a truck with missing items, but thats no problem to them because by their logic its up to the customer to ensure they get what they pay for. Not only do they lack ethics and morals but they put people in the community at risk, allowing these unsafe vehicles on the road. Definitely a NO from me – Do NOT use this company. They kept my bond $300 and charged me $700 for the most miniscule scratch that was smaller than a finger nail. General wear and tear. They did not provide a quote for the fix and just deducted the money without authorisation. So a six day hire of the smallest car cost us $1400. Absolute thievery.
Wouldn’t go anywhere else – Work or play Andy’s has always been understanding, while others felt disinterested and far from having any real human comprehension. The staff are good honest people who speak in simple and to the point ways covering helpful details, so you’re never left wondering. Wouldn't use them again if I was desperate! – Trucks are old, absolutely filthy, and come with NOTHING (including fuel) that's "extra". Booked and pre-paid to hire a truck for 24hrs from the Miami depot. Went to collect it at 9.30am. NO truck!! Waited until 10..30am for them to sort something out. butts! Returned the truck to the depot at 8.30am clean, and with fuel to be told I was "late" according to my "contract" and they would be charging me for another day!! Money grabbing thieves, who use unscrupulous tactics to retain every cent they can!! Save yourself the stress, and the financial loss and use a reputable company!
Don’t use - no care or safety – We arrived with an SUV booked, we picked up the car and after quick inspection found a large split in the slide wall of the front tyre. Super Easy, Great Van and cheaper than big boys – We hired a 12 seater van from Gold Coast airport. Someone arrived on time to collect us, even though our flight was delayed. Van wasn't the newest but did the job perfectly. The cost saving was definitely worth the hazzle of going to collect the van as opposed to having it there at the airport. In trying to keep from Using vulgar language I’ve come up blank walked in to rent a truck ( I have a hc truck licence ) and was told I don’t look experienced enough . Upon showing my licence class and offering a licence history print out from service nsw I was still declined . The woman there is a feminist and hates men avoid tweed heads branch

Know better, choose better.
Use one of the providers located at the airport, they might seem more costly upfront but they are exactly that - upfront. Andy's is anything but upfront and once they've finished charging you for everything they hadn't communicated to you, you end up worse off and miles from the airport. Avoid the hassle, you don't need this headache on top of travelling.

on the other hand, was polite and a little more informative. They are also substantially more expensive to hire than other car hire companies. You also do not receive your bond back until after about 28 DAYS. After which time if you try and chase it up they could care less. Wish I was told this before hiring but no. Will not be hiring from them again purely from that woman’s behaviour, the high cost of hire and their bond refund policy

for bond means the customer pays the additional fee for using a card payment (without any mention or fee free alternative)! And at the end of it all, when picking up the vehicle, not only was the staff member I dealt with very salty indeed (efficient, but not exactly friendly), she got angry that I was paying the hire in cash!!! Told me that they didn't accept cash (website says differently) and begrudgingly conducted the transaction in cash (frowning and muttering under her breath). Upon return, I was served by a different team member, which was a nice change as he was not only efficient but very friendly. I would recommend hire from this company based on pricing and vehicle availability, however it would be great to see an attitude readjustment in at least one of the team members that I dealt with, and a consistent procedure for payments, including disclosure of any payment method fees with fee free alternatives (as required by law).

Car hire review – the entire process was smooth from the website booking at the start, staff communications just prior to the hire day made the hire day being an out of hours pick up, a quick and easy process. The car was clean and had no faults whatsoever. And finally the day of hand back was amazing down to a ride back to the airport, the level of service was extremely high. Ute in great condition – I hired a ute for a few weeks, which was in great condition. do it ourselves as the lady at the desk didn’t know how to. That wasn’t the worst of it. Our bus that was carrying 19 girls aged 14-16 had mechanical issues. I called the office on a Sunday morning (the day we needed to fly home) to advise them that the bus didn’t have power. It was suggested I try drive it back 40 minutes to the airport which I said no chance considering what I had. In short I was told to cab it back to GC airport and I will be refunded the fee. There was no 24/7 road side assist. The bill is as $600 to cab it and the manager wouldn’t it pay it, blaming me for his faulty bus issues. I wouldn’t trust hiring from them again. I tried to solve the issue internally but no luck.

They ALWAYS look after me – I really liked the little Hyundai130 that I drove on my first booking with Andy's and on subsequent occasions I was always asked if I wanted THE SAME VEHICLE. The staff are always friendly and efficient as is the pick-up/drop off experience. Chrissie, the pick-up driver was as good as an employee that any business could ask for. A total asset.
