on the SD card, so you must buy the cloud storage. When the SD card becomes full, it does not overwrite existing footage as expected, it simply stops recording. Additionally, the solar panels are unable to keep the batteries charged, causing the cameras to frequently go into sleep mode. There are also constant connection issues, and any moving objects are difficult to recognise in the footage. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

I dont want a refund i just want a replacement but apparently they have none in stock (for the last 3 months). not using the system through the app, claiming network instability—this is absurd, as my home network is stable. A security system that cannot reliably detect motion or send notifications is practically useless.

Additionally, their online support articles are outdated, confusing, and feature too many variations, making troubleshooting a nightmare. Overall, I would not recommend Annke cameras to anyone. The system is more frustrating than functional.

When you buy cheap, you get cheap – I purchased the system March 2023 on Aliexpress sent from the Australian distributor. Received only days after purchase. changing cables, hard drives, etc, I still can not get it to function as intended. I purchased this system because of the supposed ability to record at full 4K 8MP at H.265+ compression with up to 16mbps quality. This system can not function at these specs, and I only have 6 cameras installed.

The first thing I did was to spend countless days, nights, hours playing with settings within the NVR and each camera which didn't fix the issues. Then I replaced the included cheap thin Cat 5e 26awg UTP cables with full shielded Cat 6a solid core cables and connectors. Next I inserted a brand new 6TB Western Digital purple drive. After each new "fix", I play with the settings again. It's a long process. From day one, there has never been any firmware updates available when checking online through the NVR.

Eventually I contacted Annke support. They told me to show them the firmware of the NVR. I did, and then they give me a web link to download updated firmware to install from USB. I did this and got no resolve. They then got me to show them the firmware of the cameras and then the exact same process of downloading and upgrading camera firmware as the NVR. No resolve. I've explained that the only way I've successfully got these cameras to work at 4K is by recording at full resolution, H.265 (no plus), maximum 8192kbps, and a very low 12 i-frame rate, but all these settings massively increase the storage on the drive which greatly reduces the amount of days I am able to record.

After going back and forth with emails for many weeks, their solution is to not record at the specs that the cameras are supposedly rated at, and to limit the hours of the day in which the cameras record. Well if I wanted to record at a lower compression and lower bitrate, I would've bought a better and more reliable brand that natively records at these lower specs I'm currently recording at. Either the Annke cameras and/or the NVR can not handle the specs that are stated that they're capable of. Oh, and the NVR can not transmit 4K resolution to my 4K monitor with the additional HDMI 2.1 8K cable that I also purchased separately.

The ONLY good thing about this system is the good quality drive and cables I have installed that had nothing to do with the Annke kit I bought. These are all ready for the next decent system I purchase to replace the Annke with.

Avoid not open manufacturer – Do not buy the products from Annke. Not community oriented. Everything is closed and do not share source code for the firmware of their products. What if their cameras has some problems which they would not want to fix? What if their firmware has spying features? Would you wanna their cameras spying on you? Its now a brick – Worked fine with my cameras for about a year and a half, then a software update menas that it now won't accept a signal from three of my cameras. Do not buy, doesn't worth your time – I bought to test a camera C500 as I saw screenshots that it can record videos to ftp server. website there're not fresh firmware. Live preview doesn't work in browser, you have to install some exe file. Annke what are you doing? What stone age you're living that you demand people install exe files? I'm linux user and I'm not plannning to use Windows and install exe files. I have had 2 other cameras (TPLink, Anpviz) and both work live view via browser. Why it wants to go internet even for the time sync? I do not wanna camera recording my house access internet and I do wanna it to be able synchronise time with my router, but it can not do this. TPLink and anpviz do with no issues. So verdict is - it is pretty dumb camera and if RTSP is enough for you then go for it. If you expect something more then avoid. The idea was great to save to ftp server but implementation and help in a camera portal is terrible. The other potentially good thing which I have not tested is a Security Audit logs can be uploaded to log server and I see settings for CA certificate which seems very good. But why there're not option to do logs into configured ftp server?

Update: found that you can connect via ssh and it has busybox with a number of commands. You can do some diagnostics and something else. Rating goes up to 2 stars. It might be actually a good thing.

changes in the light from shadows or tree leaves moving in the background. But no, there is not even any plants in some of my camera focus areas or anything that the wind can move that cause shadows to move. Find it ridiculous, will be looking at returning.

Really annoying – When it stopped recording, I was told it was because of the hard drive, but when I changed the hard drive, it stopped recording after 20 minutes. and forth ANNKE has acknowledged that the NVR doesn't actually interface with the remote and there is no point in sending me another one. I can't ask for a refund as I have already spent $750 on installing the 8 cameras to my TV through an electrician, and to un-install there will be another fee of $750. Now they know that the system is defective and are still selling it by banking on the fact that most people like me will NOT return it as we have spent significant money on installing costs. I believe this seller is in violation of Australian warranty laws and I have reported it to EBAY, however buyers beware the company is based somewhere in Hong Kong and only way to contact them through the internet, hence don't expect much after they get their hands on your cash. The cameras work fine as described but overall I would purchase another brand if given the opportunity.

I booked a time and date, didn't receive any call so I sent the another request and was told that they could not get through to me, so I said give me your number to see if I can reach you guys. I was told that they cant give me their number for Privacy reasons and yet they want my PC ID and Password so they can log in anytime without me. Please be careful when you deal with their support desk and the product quality is crap.

Annke do not honor the warranty – I tried to make a warranty claim, based on their advertising of the product. Annke do not honor the warranty, in fact the warranty is only three months. acknowledged the unit was dead but refused to do anything. They had the gumption to even ask me to buy another whole system. Their tactics are to keep refusing and refusing until you are worn down and just give up. Neither ebay, paypal or my bank (VISA) were able to do anything about their refusal to replace or fix my unit. I lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs who investigated and confirmed I was well within my rights to have the unit replaced or fixed but they were powerless to do anything. The company is based in Asia so they don't care about what happens after sales as they are not a legitimate Australian business so can not be held accountable. It's the reason why no quality professional security installer will sell their products. Buyer beware Do not buy Annke or Sannce products!

No warranty exists – They promise 3 year warranty but even though they confirm faulty camera in less than 1 year they act dumb and say you cannot return after 60 days. I insist I just want replacement camera and they just give the runaround. I now have to spend thousands to remove old system and rewire in new one.
