Be wary of the Iphone 8 – My iphone 8 spontaneously caught alight. It was the battery. The phone is 3 years old, so it may be an age event. However it was dangerous, and the smell very toxic. Would consider this going forward. Show details

work. It won't though.
It's a positively grueling experience trying to get USB tethering to work with windows (The most commonly used OS in the world btw). I've looked through about 10 guides, gone through IT support 20 times, and I'm thinking, society is underpaid from the cost of believing the lie that more money always means better quality. If I wanted something expensive, I'd suggest we all invest in google pixel, and get better speech recognition and usb tethering that 'Just works'.
Unfortunately for me the bloatware required to run this is ITUNES. You need to install this poorly programmed media center, JUST so that your PC correctly identifies the device enough to get basic PC-Iphone interaction. Nobody actually needs this, Apple just wants you to buy more music.
And say you want to update your phone's OS via Itunes.. most client-base updaters like steam will store a cache of downloaded data. This allows user flexibility of turning the computer off and on midway. This allows users to be human in making a mistake like switching VPN locations midway updates. Not the case with Itunes, as you need to nurse your computer connection through several GB's of download, or start over.
Apple is well... Apple. Magnificent in reputation, high in cost, mediocre in delivery. UNLESS you buy all their products and thus perpetuate the whole Chinese sweatshop thing that Apple have going.
This isn't the way of the future. People are. Opensource software means more accessibility, more compatibility and more collaboration. Opensource delivers innovation to the genius of all walks in life, not just rich sheep. Apple can't match this. They won't. Ask yourself seriously; Why is android by far the most used mobile OS? is it weird how it came from Linux? How does accessibility of technology effect that technology's evolution in time?
Big companies like Apple have lost touch.

navigation was very user friendly. being new to Apple products was not an issue with this product. The size of the screen is great, you can comfortably read messages such as text, email and other news items with ease. The clarity of the image display is outstanding! It has many options for apps making it user friendly with windows based products which is great in the business sector for my items such as spread sheets, Word docs and presentations all clearly visible on the device. the camera quality and features are simply outstanding. The camera smoothly transitions between different light applications with ease. It has a digital zoom which works well and the picture quality doesn't degrade too bad. The battery life is great as well, you do however need to manage the apps which drain the battery but with Apple's battery monitoring app it works a treat. I have delivered many presentations from my iphone with ease and see this phone covering many demographics from the home user to tech savvy business device. My life is organised through the calendar app, all my appointments are seamlessly set up and reminders are set helping keep myself organised and on time for meetings. Overall, a great phone for work, rest and play. Good job Apple!
Great phone – I bought this phone from JB Hifi when the RED version was on sale. Changing from an iPhone 5s - which is much smaller compared to the iphone 8, I was a bit worried that the new phone would be too big and heavy. camera is much much better than my old phone. Photos taken in not well lit area are brighter. Under sunlight is the best, it brings out all the colours and brilliance.
The 64gb memory is just the right size for me as I take lots of photos and videos of my little one. Most apps run smoothly.
The things that I use this phone for most is banking. The fingerprint feature makes it such an easy and still secure task to log into banking apps or Apple pay.
The battery life is great. I know that it will deteriorate over time as the phone gets older but so far so good. I recharge every 3 days on low use, or everyday for constant streaming and youtube-ing.

A Bit Overpriced – I recently switched from an Android to my current iPhone 8, so far I am kind of regretting it. The IOS system does offer a smoother interface that is more user-friendly and the camera quality is decent. However the downfalls of an iPhone in comparison to its Android counterparts are the lack of an audio jack and not having the option of installing a micro SD card. Show details
Was better before the latest update nerfed it – I generally like apple products, but cannot stand the way the company intentionally releases updates that are either too complicated for the older models to handle, or as came out a few years ago, releasing updates that slow the phone intentionally. With the issue of product waste aside, this renders the product much less desirable than one intended to last for a longer period of time. Show details

Very good basic iPhone. Occasionally have to turn it off, then on to continue usage. Very clear photos. Fits nicely into a lady's hand. Stores all info re emails, texts, photo library etc well.
Refurbished , new battery and no scratches I am very happy and when the time comes to get a new phone , I will use phonebot again and I received my new phone within a week

Same as a 7 – Same as a 7 no difference, haven’t seen anything besides the loud speaker being better than the 7. Shame it only came in 64gb or 258gb be nice if they had 128gb for this model. I’m old school I need buttons so only upgraded two months ago to this phone. Show details

Powerful with great performance – This iPhone is a beast and performs as well as most laptops. The visual experience is fish with no lag. Typing is easy with great feedback. Despite being a phone the sound quality is excellent As always with Apple products the build quality is outstanding

Battery dies after 8 hours of moderate use. Apps freezing constantly. All apple can recommend is to reset the phone. Ideally every day. . Memory management is terrible. Floating home application grid drives me nuts. Closing all open applications make my thumb sore. Switching mobile hotspot on and off is painful. All latest features were available in Android phones 2 to 5 years ago. Android phones with similar features just much better OS cost third of the price. Everyday use just makes me an angry person. Absolutely hate this iPhone. Cant think of a single thing I would like about it
