They don’t have any human recovery team. So they control your data the way they want-don’t use apple. I am going to start using android from now on. Also I have only ever used IOS my entire life and can say it is getting worse day by day.

Went into Apple Penrith store on Wednesday July 8 to ask a range of questions about Mac’s and iCloud amongst other things. We were greeted by Tara who was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient with us when she had to explain things several times. Our experience was first rate and we left with the Mac that was going to best suit us. Tara was delightful, full of personality and encouraging, all of which helped to make our visit positive. Show details

I hate dealing with Apple, they allow poor content in their app store and deny refund requests. Constant issues with harware and software, none of the support staff can speak English so it's seriously hard to understand anything they are saying. Over expensive items that just aren't worth your hard earned cash. Failed me totally. Show details

iPhone 16pro 256Gb Expensive mistake – Apple We bought iPhone 16 pro recently and got into problem immediately with camera app crashing continuously. Contacted apple support multiple times and ran through many diagnostics without any root cause and fix. Temporarily problem gets fixed for 1-2days by hard reboot but its not a fully working phone. After 1 week or more of struggle today… Read more

apple support mentions its issue with some devices and engineering team is aware of the issue. No ETA no repair or refund or replacement for us. We are left with a 2000$ dud.

Systemic failure of Apple’s repair process – 4+ hours of calls for nothing I have been a loyal Apple user since the iPhone 4s, but my recent experience with a repair for my iPhone 17 (Repair ID: A703292629) has completely destroyed my confidence in the brand. What used to be the gold standard for customer service has devolved into a disconnected,… Read more

automated mess.

My phone was sent in for a screen repair over five weeks ago. Since then, I have been the one doing all the heavy lifting to get an update. I have spent a total of 4 hours and 14 minutes on the phone across six separate calls. Each time, I was told to "be patient" because a part was on backorder. I followed their instructions to the letter and waited for the promised callbacks.

Instead of a resolution, I received an automated email stating that my device is being returned unrepaired because I was "unreachable."

It is clear that Apple’s automated systems do not "talk" to their manual support cases. While I was actively speaking with senior advisors and waiting for their updates, an automated timer was apparently counting down to cancel my repair.

To be told I haven't communicated after investing over four hours of my own time is insulting. I am now being sent back a broken device after a month of being strung along. If you are expecting the "Apple Experience" of old, be warned: it no longer exists. I am seriously considering switching to another ecosystem after this.

Pros: None. Cons: Total lack of internal communication, automated systems overriding human support, massive waste of customer time.

Delivery time misleading and deceptive Bought an iPhone online on Thursday. Clicked the all the options which said the iPhone would be delivered Friday (next day) to my postcode with free standard shipping if I bought by 2pm. iPhone would arrive the following Wednesday to Friday.

It’s now the following Monday evening and the iPhone hasn’t even been shipped.

Multiple calls to Apple and they don’t care. First person last Thursday offered to cancel my order so I could pay extra for shipping and did not honour the website.

Called again today on Monday and was told if it’s here late and arrives next week that’s ok because it can just be delivered anyway. I explained again no it’s not I needed it last week as expected and I’ll be interstate next week so it does need to arrive ASAP but she couldn’t / wouldn’t do anything.

Apple is starting to feel like a scam operation. A lot of free apps now require in-app subscriptions, and it’s incredibly easy to make accidental purchases. Getting a refund is nearly impossible. Horrifying to know Apple doesn’t care about fraud being committed by their approved app companies. It’s non stop defecting, gaslighting and condescending behaviour to not give the stolen money back. Apples deflecting.

False declaration by Apple “ For over a decade, the App Store has proved to be a safe and trusted place to discover and download apps. But the App Store is more than just a storefront — it's an innovative destination focused on bringing you amazing experiences. And a big part of those experiences is ensuring that the apps we offer are held to the highest standards for privacy, security and content. Because we offer nearly 2 million apps — and we want you to feel good about using every single one of them.”

I have been a loyal Apple customer for years, spending thousands on their devices. But what I’ve experienced recently is nothing short of disgraceful. There have been unauthorised charges through apps, taken from my account without my permission. I was not subscribed, never approved these transactions, and did not share my account with anyone.… Read more

Yet the charges kept coming.

Despite raising the issue multiple times, Apple has: • Refused to stop the app’s access • Denied proper refunds for earlier fraudulent charges • Blamed me, while claiming there’s “nothing else they can do”

Apple is fully aware of what’s happening. They’ve admitted the app is a third-party app, yet continue to let it access my account and process charges — even with my settings locked down. That’s not just poor customer service — it’s negligence and complicity in fraud.

This is highly illegal under Australian law, and Apple should be held accountable. They have evidence of fraud and are choosing to do nothing meaningful to stop it.

I’ve lost trust in Apple. Their customer support goes in circles, never escalating the issue properly, and their so-called security is a joke. If you value your money, privacy, or security — think twice before giving Apple your payment details.

Attached are screenshots of Apples total disregard of the fraud being committed. WOAH, their last message to me.. Lucky their are other avenues to take to get your stolen money back and where Apple will be forced to hand other the evidence, the same evidence Apple will NOT give to its customers. Apple needs to be investigated for fraud and massive class action against them.

I have been an Apple user for 30 odd years; recently having the distinct dis-privilege, having been told that my iPad, which is approximately eight years old, was no longer able to receive updates due to the fact of the new chips being much faster and therefore my iPad is virtually redundant.

Apple also promote services, such as App Store, which apparently is nothing to do with Apple staff. If you believe what you are told whilst on the phone to Support requesting a refund for apps that either do not work in Australia or do not work as they should, and whilst being refused the refund and denying the claim after dispute.

This company not only has tawdry business practices, but also seems to espouse an attitude: that they are above and beyond the premise of law. It is about time that people, who are treated so poorly by Apple stand up and make claim to your authorities for abuse of civil rights; reporting your concerns and problems to your local authorities, so they may act on your behalf, to attain remedy for the products and services which you have paid quite considerably for!

Follow-up  · After posting my original review I continued to engage with Apple’s support team and monitored recent changes in leadership and policy. Service Recommended, Contact with a Liquid and the Scam of Apple Service – Our MacBook Pro 14-inch M1 2021 suddenly started displaying the "Service Recommended" for the battery and the indicator stuck at 1% (i.e. not taking charge) despite the red light being on the cable. Also in the System Report 'charge' cycles were at… Read more

zero (0) - and the battery showed 90% maximum battery capacity.

We took it to Apple and they said the battery needs to be changed. So they sent it to the service centre. After two days we were told the laptop could not be fixed - and that it would require a new logic board. The reason was the "technicians found evidence of damage caused by contact with a liquid. Our warranty doesn't cover damage by liquids. "

You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get the photos to demonstrate the "liquid contact". Multiple phone calls, chats and even in-store they didn't provide it. Finally, I received the photos (attached). Given the size of the corrosion is smaller than a fingernail (or a nickel) it couldn't have happened from a spill. Plus it was on the bottom side of the logic board - so it could have only happened from moisture in the air (humidity). So rather than Apple attempting to clean the corrosion in 5 minutes after spending 1 to 2 hours disassembling and reassembling the computer they do nothing and hit us with a bill for >$1000 + tax. This is morally and ethically unacceptable. Furthermore, how does this align with Apple's espoused views sustainability? Making matters worse we had a technician clean the corrosion spot and other contacts and now everything is working fine. The battery now takes and holds charge and the charge cycles displays 256 cycles.

Be aware of the Scam of Apple.

Follow-up  · They wanted to charge $1150 so I said no way. And I went to a mobile repairer at North Rocks (across from KMart) that fixed it for $540, including a new battery,

given my work phone is also my mobile internet etc etc....spoke to someone who said there was a booking avialable at 10 am Monday, and as that was early in the day it should be able to be done quickly. When she arrived for that appointment she was told there was no stock available to fix the phone....no call beforehand to mention that she was wasting her time to come in, even though it had all been flagged in advance. Given I was already without my phone she was pushing to see how to get it done still, and was told that Castle Hill had stock, so she had to drive over there, or just re-book to come back. Did go over and get the repair done, but discussions with customer service in between times were hopeless, with no understanding of the unnecessary time wasted by her, and the additional time I needed to run a small business with no phone...and now being told that whilst she was intitially offered some AirPods as compensation (which are of no use to us), that there is nothihg that Apple has done wrong according to their standards of customer service....really??

I went into the Robina store intending to buy an Apple Watch Series 11 (46mm Natural Titanium). stoked in apple stores to which they replied all stores have apple stock, so off I went to the closet one, Robina. Only to then find out they can’t price match to the quoted online store value, though there may have been a misunderstanding on the phone about whether the physical store could honor the online quote, the in-store handling was very frustrating. The store manager explained that because the competitor's deal was "online-only," their computer system strictly blocked them from matching it to the online price, He told me it would be better to just buy it from the competitor instead. He even pointed out that they had the watch in stock right then, and that I could buy it at full retail price if I didn't want to wait for shipping. It felt incredibly greedy and indifferent to tell (me) a customer to either pay full retail price or leave empty-handed.Their absolute lack of flexibility ultimately forced me to leave and order online. So they lost a sale. I ended up purchasing the exact premium 46mm Natural Titanium watch online through Woolworths instead for just $994.75. Even though I had to wait a few days to get the product delivered, it was completely worth it to save $344.25 compared to Apple's in-store price. Or the online quote, If Apple’s own stores Managers are going to actively advise (me) a customer ready to buy, to buy elsewhere rather than solve a customer service issue, it really does make more sense for one to give your business to other retailers that sale the same product (as you get same warranty). Apple your sales logic makes no sense other than exploiting a customer an being greedy as this premium product from any other supplier is online order only (not stocked) but they can order and sell cheaper then the actual store.

Apple is trying to force many people with slightly older iPads onto IOS 26. Don’t upgrade if you have a Generation 9 ipad. I have two Gen 9 iPads, both 64GB, that were bought new from retail store JB HiFi only 18 months ago (Oct 24). If I upgrade to the new version of IOS, the operating system and system files will increase in size by up to… Read more

10GB… up to nearly 30GB. This will leave me without enough free storage to even use the iPads effectively.

The battey life between charges will greatly reduce, as IOS 26 drains the battery much faster for many of its useless “bling” effects. And IOS 26 is simply “choppy” or “stuttering”on many slighly older iPads.

Many people report their older ipads running hot with IOS 26… over 40 degrees C. That’s a computer cooking itself, in my experience.

There is nothing in the new “features” of IOS 26 that I want to use. The previous release of IOS… IOS 18, works fine.

A lot of technical reviews say that IOS 26 is a “dog” on older ipads and renders them useless. I have worked on operating system for over forty years… and I believe that IOS 26 is, indeed, a “dog”. Apple is going to lose a lot of long term , Apple customers, who will decide to try an Android tablet out of feeling betrayed.

Once you “upgrade” to IOS 26, you cannot revert to IOS 18, as Apple has deliberately removed the technical links to allow you to do that.

And Apple is still denying the problems with IOS 26, and trying to force older ipads onto it, by deliberately withholding security patch uodates.
