Does the trick, depending on why you want it – I bought this watch because I keep my phone in my back pocket, and am constantly missing phone calls. Having this watch has helped with that, because it's a little more visible, and it taps you when you have a call or message. Just be sure to program it so that it alerts you as much/little as you like. I turned off the Facebook Message… Read more

notifications because it was driving me crazy!

You'll have to recharge it each night, which is fine if you have a recharging routine going. I find though, that if I fall out of this routine, the watch doesn't get used for months on end.

Not a sport watch if it falls apart every 3 months – I bought my generation 1 Apple Watch a year ago- the back fell off within 3 months. The second watch: the front screen fell off. Third watch- back fell off. Technicians certify I didn't abuse the device. This is such a common problem- they even have a separate plan for it. The Solution. Wait for the next break. It seems Apple really takes care of it’s people- after it breaks FOUR TIMES.  Show details

Battery Life not the best – Like everyone I was very excited to purchase the new Apple Watch Series 1 in rose gold. The functions and applications that you are able to use is excellent. My battery life was the biggest concern for the product, when I used one of the applications to track my excercise it really drained the battery and at times I did not have enough battery… Read more

to last the whole day. I ended up selling the Apple Watch Series 1 on Gumtree and then purchase the Series 2.

Good features, bit slow – I purchased a second hand 1st generation apple watch 42mm black stainless steel version off eBay. I found that it was a bit slow in response to the Series 1 watch, and that would be regarding the processor which has been upgraded in the Series 1 and Series 2 versions.  Show details

Great watch! – Love the fact that the phone and watch talk to each other. Notifications with both sound and haptic taps are great without disturbing the person wearing it, as well as the people around the wearer. Great band selection, with great colours and textures. Would be nice to see them in the Michael Kors branding!!!  Show details

Get the series 1 or 2 if you can – The Apple Watch promises a lot, but unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. It only works with the iPhone and works with lots of the same apps on your phone — just frustratingly slowly. Some apps that you might install like Uber or Messenger are frustratingly slow to the point where pulling out your phone is often much quicker. Laggy apps aside it's a great fitness device with a very accurate heart monitor and lots of exercise functions.  Show details

Good start, not a must buy – It's great for checking notifications, general fitness tracking and motivating to stand up and move around. Definitely wouldn't recommend for app support though, it's sluggish and prone to crashes. The good news is Apple is continuing to support it with the upcoming watchOS 4 and it's definitely in a much more usable state. If you like the idea of… Read more

having notifications and text messages on your wrist, would recommend. Otherwise it's not much of a "must buy".

Proud of having an First generation Apple watch – I bought this amazing iWatch from Apple on Feb 2016. Still I am using it and it still works awesome. I am updating it regularly and stylish to use. The design and quality built by Apple is excellent. Siri is working better with my iWatch and battery life stays little longer than I expected.  Show details

The best thing I don't need – I purchased an original Apple Watch about a year ago, when it was the current model. I was weary (pun not intended) about whether I should purchase this as I wasn't sure if I would use it, turns out I love it! Receiving texts and emails on it is great, and I find myself relying on it now. Though I find myself constantly checking it even when in meetings, which can come across as pretty rude.  Show details

Not bad but missing features – I bought this to compliment my iPhone 6 (before I sold it). Honestly I think the watch is a bit of a novelty. It's a bit slow to do things, and in the end I ended up using it purely as a notification viewer. As a calender notification viewer for work it works relatively well, but I don't think this is an essential item by any means.  Show details

battery is worst part – I have purchased my Apple watch 1 during some promotion from apple store, initially was very happy with it, but now i am tired of charging my watch daily to make it of some use. the overall build quality and software is quite good, i also like the interface...but the battery is the worst thing in this.  Show details

Useful but slow at times – Very convenient to use, but the first generation suffers from being the first with many kinks yet to be ironed out. Cons: 1. Slow processor 2. Not many apps, and not very optimised. 3. Apps won't load if they are too heavy Pros: 1. Apple Pay 2. Perfect for fitness tracking 3. Fashionable enough  Show details

Acceptable and of good quality – Product is very good, the band is wearing off over a year of use. Good quality watch and battery life is great. The watch has gone through lots of running and workouts and has worked well for me. Always recieving complements when people look at my watch and notifications are great!  Show details

Best Watch Ever! – This watch was excellent to use, and stylish to wear also. I loved receiving notifications on the watch while my phone was in my pocket. The fitness tracking was excellent (have had a fitbit flex 2 also) and was great at keeping motivation going. This watch paired perfectly with my iPhone.  Show details

Take it back Apple blames the user oh you dropped it this is very sensitive. What a load of crap. Will not change under warranty blame the user yeah good one Apple. Biggest piece of trash I have ever bought.  Show details

Support & Warranty from Apple is a shocker – I'm on my second Apple Watch after the first one failed completely. It took Apple over a month to provide warranty after initially having no understanding of how they warrant their products. The new watch does not function as advertised and I've now spent over an hour on the phone with Apple Support whose only solution is for them to do more… Read more

homework and call me again in several days.

The only thing they do well is waste my time and then waste it again. They've sent me on wild goose chases all over the countryside to get either warranty or support.

Years ago Apple were a great company to deal with but lately their level of service in Australia is abysmal.

Absolutely Awesome Watch – This was well worth paying extra for , My watch is made from stainless steel and has a sapphire glass face .This makes the unit very durable able to withstand daily knocks unlike a couple of other far cheaper smart watches purchased previously . It also has far more functionality than rival brands  Show details

Good product so far – This is new to me but so far have found the functions easy to use, charges quickly and looks great but it sucks the battery life from my phone, I am lucky to get 7 hours of intermediate use. I'm guessing this is due to the constant bluetooth. Watch itself however is good.  Show details

Love it – This is one of the best devices I own. I love been able to quickly read messages and respond from my wrist. I appreciate the ability to customise my own watch face. The activity tracker motivates me to keep moving. I also enjoy answering phone calls on my watch (like James Bond).  Show details

Great watch! – I got the Apple Watch as a gift and it really kick started my weight loss. I got a white sports strap that discoloured quite quickly they also seem to stretch. I have now brought a black sports strap & much better. It's a shame the watch isn't more independent from your phone but it's still a fantastic watch.  Show details

Love it, love it, love it! – I'd be dead without my Apple watch for so many reasons. It's my own personal assistant, always reminding me of the most important stuff with a little tap on the wrist rather than those sometimes embarrassing loud alert tones that you changed in a drunken stupor the night before. So much information on such a little device. Sometimes I can go the… Read more

Best decision!! – My watch is something I can't live without. It is so handy, connects to your phone through bluetooth and you receive all calls, messages, emails and alerts to the watch. Use the fitness app everyday and love that it sets goals to challenge you to keep moving. The alarm is a gentle way to wake up everyday. The only time I'm not wearing it is when I charge it in the morning. Def get yourself one!

Better than expected, with good heart monitor – I have owned a Fitbit which had battery issues, then a Garmin HR which is dreadful and now an Apple Watch. You need a reason to spend the money and I bought 2. The 42 mm for myself and 38 mm for my wife. We often use the haptic message fearures and love sending love notes to each other. The battery lasts 2 days on mine and less on hers. You… Read more

need to decrease the brightness and disable features that would drain the battery. The heart monitor is way more accurate than my Garmin. It works well, especially with the HeartWatch app which includes notifications if your heart drops below 50 or is very high. This watch could save your life.

The first generation Watch OS1 apps are not great, however the newer WatchOS 2 apps are awesome! I bought OmniFocus which is very useful on my watch. An excellent productivity app that is easy to use with my watch. I have bought a number of excellent OS2 apps which add value to this watch. I am looking forward to new versions.

Siri is wonderful when driving. My phone is often in my pocket and Siri is 100 % hands free. You just ask Siri to play music and it come out your car radio speaker. Or phone, etc. Just excellent. It works well for messages and iTranslate. I never use Siri on my phone, however love it on my watch.

The phone function is great. The speaker is clear and works well when you do not have your phone near you. I have answered a number of calls and find this feature useful.

Notifications work very well. Some apps like Facebook messenger allow you to read the message as well. You can increase the font size on your watch, so easy to do, however not recommneded to do whilst driving.

I have found home automation excellent with my watch. I bought a LIFX smart light and already own DLink and Belkin equipment. You can control all of these devices from your watch. Very cool and easy to do.

I could write a detailed review of all the good apps available for this watch and wish Apple made more of an effort to include them in the Watch app. You have to find them which takes time.

My Garmin HR was $200 and a total waste of money. My Watch was just over $500 and worth every cent. I could have saved a lot of money if I bought my watch before the Garmins. The Microsoft watch is a rip off for $400. This watch walks all over it.

If you are an Apple fan and have an iPhone, you will enjoy your watch. You need to find decent apps and setup your complications and glances. You need to watch YouTube movies on hidden features, setup and apps.

Enjoy your watch :-)

4 out of 5 – This watch is fantastic I couldn't live without it. Actually I could but I reckon a week would be max ha ha. was forced them to send it away and in one week they replaced it. But not with a brand-new watch like I paid $1300 for they replaced it with a refurbished one a.k.a. secondhand and I was not reimbursed for the money I paid for about a brand-new watch. It's not my fault the dogwatch wasn't working. The digital crown all of a sudden became really loose and it wasn't "clicky "it was very soft and mushy to Push in.

The watch is ridiculously overpriced it probably cost them about AU$200-AU$300 to produce one I can't believe they can get away with charging so much for this.

The watch is also extremely slow very very slow in fact.

However despite all of this the design of the watch is timeless and it looks very nice and the functionality is far superior to any other watch out there.

awesome product and I just love it!! – This is the age of advancing technology so should we be surprised that a watch will come along? The Apple site speaks for itself and tells you everything you need to know. Simple and can be warn with any attire. I got the sports edition in gold and bought the black strap and it looks fantastic. I love it

Handy to have for people on the go – So many features from voice texting vibration maps and a fit bit type reading heart rate reading and remote camera and much more Sub menus can be difficult to select at times and I found twisting the knob on the side makes them bigger but still on occasion press the wrong icon. Charges fairly quickly and lasts around 16 plus hours. Happy so far two weeks into it.

I'm in love – With all the hype around this product I was worried my expectations were too high. They were not. This is the most beautiful piece of intuitive wearable tech. I can't stop playing with it. The instructions are easy to understand and in typical Apple style it comes in amazing packaging. The funniest thing is when you answer a call on it.

Polished, slick watch with incredible handiness – When I first bought and started using the Apple Watch, I thought it was just a whimsical, redundant and expensive wearable. But as I started using it throughout the months, I have absolutely found it incredibly helpful and handy and now has become an indispensable piece of tech - especially with most of my initial gripes fixed by watchOS 2. From… Read more

being able to read and reply to messages with my hands full, to quickly glancing when the next bus is arriving while I run to the bus stop, to even the little things to remind me to stand up and be more healthy, I really appreciate how the Apple Watch integrates and compliments my connected life. Expensive and overpriced? Very. Worth it? Definitely.

I use the 42mm Apple Watch Sport with the Milanese Loop and it's incredibly adaptable to my attire - both casually and formally. My tip: make sure you try on different combinations at the Apple Store before you buy, because the size, watch collection, and band is really about personal taste and will really affect your experience with the watch.

Good purchase – I have only had the watch for a week but am loving the convenience of all the functions offered. Apart from notifying me on email and messages I am able to check my activity and access other apps. The purchase has met my expectations. The look of the watch is stylish and it is comfortable to wear. I bought the one with the stainless steel mesh band and love it.

Apple Watch - Best smart watch hands down – Having owned a Pebble and a Moto360 I can categorically say that the Apple watch is the best available smart watch currently available. occasions and the leather strap for day to day office wear.

Functionality, though limited with this first version of Watch OS, is more than capable to begin learning how to live with a smart watch.

Once you wear one for a week, you miss it's functionality when you don't wear it.

The major downside is that I just can't bear to not wear it, so my other watches, some beautiful antiques amongst them, now don't get to see the light of day.
