Utter scam. The photos look amazing. The product looks like total shot. They claim to follow Australian law and allow returns but ghost you and won’t let you return anything Show details
SCAM!!!! I ordered an item expecting a smooth transaction with an Australian-based business, only to find myself dealing with offshore return instructions and a complete lack of accountability. When I requested a Melbourne return address—multiple times, mind you—they continuously dodged the request. How is it acceptable to advertise yourselves as… Read more
a Melbourne-based brand and then force customers to return faulty or unwanted items to an overseas warehouse?
To make matters worse, I was assured by a representative that my refund would be processed within 5 days—that time has long passed, and I’m still out of pocket. No refund. No real communication. Just stalling and avoidance.
I have tried to resolve this professionally, but I’ve been ignored and misled. This is not just bad customer service—it feels like outright theft.
If you value your money, time, and sanity, DO NOT shop with Armoire Melbourne. I’ve already started discrediting them on every platform possible, and I’ll continue to do so until they take accountability.
WARNING SCAM- Brought a pair of pants the quality was directly from a Temu factory, they looked nothing like the high quality photos online, only offering a partial refund this is a Chinese business operating as if they are in Melbourne- DO NOT BUY FROM HERE Show details

I Paid for Quality, Got a Counterfeit – Misleading, Costly, and Silence When It Mattered Most I ordered what was advertised as an Armoire Men’s Fleece Hooded Jacket for $99.95. The website looked professional, the photos showed a branded, high-quality product, and I trusted I was paying for something genuine. What I received was a shock — a… Read more
thin, unbranded, poor-quality jacket with no tags, no labels, no packaging, and none of the promised features. It looked like something worth a few dollars, not a premium product. It was clear to me this was not authentic.
I raised the issue through PayPal and provided detailed evidence. Instead of acknowledging the problem, the seller offered me 15%, then 25% back, suggesting I keep the item. But this wasn’t a minor flaw — this was a fake product, and that’s not acceptable.
They later agreed to a full refund only if I returned the item — fair enough in theory, but the return address they gave me was misleading and unrecognised by Australia Post. I had to troubleshoot the address myself just to send it, which ended up costing me $49.10 in postage.
Since returning the item, I’ve received no further communication, no refund, and no reimbursement for return shipping. I’m now left without the jacket, out of pocket, and feeling completely dismissed.
As a student, this wasn’t just frustrating — it was disheartening. I trusted this business. I followed all the steps. And in return, I’ve been met with avoidance and silence.
I’m sharing this so others are aware. The product I received was misleading, the return process was unclear, and the lack of customer service was unacceptable. I’ve escalated the matter to Fair Trading NSW and PayPal, and I hope no one else has to go through what I did.

I ordered an item from Armoire Melbourne, believing it to be an Australian company. The product received did not match the description, and the business refused to provide a return or refund. Their website is misleading, and their invoice was simply an order confirmation with no GST or ABN information. Turns out, they’re operating from the Netherlands while pretending to be Australian. Be cautious — very unprofessional and potentially a scam. Show details
What a joke. Armoire "Melbourne"??? I don't think they even know where Melbourne is... Mainland China somewhere??? 1 month wait for a Linen Blend shirt that has 1. No Linen in it 2. Is very badly made 3.Smells like petroleum and 4. $50 down from $100??? Is that RMB??? Dont bother with this company - they are so bad I cant even describe them accurately.. Show details
I would give a 0 star, they advertise the Panama hats are hand made in Equador from Tequila straw, instead I received cheap Chinese made from paper and damaged during transport due to lack of proper packaging. Tried to get them to refund me but they made whole process extremely painful and they are not in Melbourne. This is some fake company- stay clear of them!!! Show details
Phony, cheap, terrible customer service – WARNING. Do not purchase from this company. They will not honour their refund policy. Initially said I could return the item for a full refund but then demanded I send photos of me wearing the item to prove it didn’t fit which was quite humiliating. Once I proved they didn’t fit, they offered me a 50% refund and would not provide an address to… Read more
allow me to return items. They have since ignored all contact from. Product quality is terrible and shipped directly from overseas despite representing themselves as being in Australia. My only option now is to dispute the transaction with my bank. DO NOT PURCHASE

All the negative reviews are true. Everything anbout Armoire Melbourne is not. Advertising images are fake - you’ll find them on numerous online shop websites - and what you receive will be rubbish by comparison. AND don’t make the mistake I made of then going through the ludicrous return process to get a full refund. You will spend a lot of… Read more
money sending it to an obscure address in the Netherlands and about 6 weeks later it will be back on your doorstep. Waste of money x 2. Avoid the misery and just avoid this seller that has absolutely nothing to do with Melbourne - which is just of the tip of the iceberg of untruths.
I purchased a zip up jacket off Armoire which arrived with a faulty zipper that could not be unhooked [detached] at the bottom of the zipper. The jacket could not be worn because of this problem and Armoire sent me this reply to my email which I think is a total denial that they provided a faulty jacket: Hi Roblpittman, Thank you for your email.… Read more
We’re sorry to hear there’s a quality issue with your item — that’s not the experience we want for you.
To make it easier, we can offer a 20% partial refund if you prefer to keep the item and avoid the cost and effort of returning it. Return costs are at your own expense and can be relatively high, as our warehouse is located overseas.
If you’d rather return the item, that’s no problem. Please note: - Returns are at your own risk - Ship within 30 days in original packaging, without signs of use - Return costs are at your expense - Use a track-and-trace code — without it, we can’t guarantee a refund - Include the completed return form in the package - A 100% refund will be issued once the return is received and tracking is provided.
You’ll find the return form attached. Let us know how you’d like to proceed!
Have a great day, and let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you. Best regards,
Lucas from Armoire Melbourne customer service team
They mistyped my address on the parcel. I sent them a screenshot that showed: 1) The screenshot of the address I gave them on my order confirmation. 2) A screenshot of the POD that had the wrong address they had put on it. They refused to assist, said that "they're responsibility regarding delivery is complete" and that we need to discuss with Australia Post. I CAN'T discuss it with Australia Post, because it's not addressed to me! Show details

Thinking I am buying from Melbourne - NO, some dodgy overseas people. Received product, ordered mens 4xl, the size I received would not have fit a child. Their advertising of refunds etc is completely untrue, good luck if you want to return. Avoid this place at all cost! Show details
Wish I read the reviews prior to ordering. It’s False advertising or a very sneaky play on advertising!!! Company states it’s Melbourne and “In stock” but in fact it is in China (In stock in China..)!!! I ordered thinking I’d have it within the week being close to Melbourne but 3 weeks ago and still waiting so I don’t have it for the event I ordered it for. Tracking shows shipped from China. This company is in fact in the Netherlands, NOT .Melbourne. The sizes are incorrect (a large is actually a small), and you will have to pay international shipping to get a refund due to their misrepresentations. Avoid this company or regret it. Show details
Argh!! They got me. Chinese business with ‘Melbourne’ in their title. Should be banned!! I was suspicious, however placed an order and then sent an email to customer service asking if they were Australian based and my order would be delivered from Australia, if not please cancel. Of course my item had been processed before the message was read so… Read more
unable to do so. Requested a refund, and of course refused providing with the standard response, Item are procured and high quality…… blah blah!! Avoid Avoid Avoid!! Should be a crime!!
I share the sentiments expressed by other reviewers. I recently bought a pair of pants that was a size bigger (though not unsatisfactory in quality). It took several emails before the company sent me a return form, leaving me with the impression that they discouraged returns. The return form had a Netherlands address and postage cost me almost half the cost of the item. Please bear this in mind when dealing with this seller. Show details
Ordered a jacket size 3 XL, size does not correspond to the Australian size. I was surprised because when I ordered the item I had no idea it’s a China based company- when it’s named Armoire Melbourne. After complaining I was told I could not exchange it. This is very unusual & I would advise anybody to stay away from this company. Show details
I have sent them a few emails asking some basic questions and ended up receiving strange answers! Searched them online and gladly see these reviews. Stay a way from buying from them
Buyer beware My advice to all consumers DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING from this company. Their sizing is nothing typical that reflects AUS and if you are unhappy about your purchase they won’t refund . They are fraudulent and scammers. Stay clear, best to shop with Temu than this company. At least with Temu refunds are processed fast even if you’re unhappy. Good luck Show details
Absolute rubbish. I have sent them close to 100 emails demanding a refund and all they are offering is a 15% discount. Do not make the mistake of buying from them, like the rest of us. Show details

WOW I wish I'd read these reviews before I bought anything on this site. The clothes look nothing like the pictures and now they are refusing to give me a refund. They say they have a 30 day return policy but they do not provide a return address. You have to contact them, and then they offer a 15% discount, not a simple return and full refund. I would not shop here! Show details
Would give them zero star but you can't. Item was different colour, sizing was very small and didnt reflect any of the website pictures. Stay far away from these scam artists. Not an Australian company, items come from china and a cheap and nasty. Show details
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SCAMMER! Ordered 3 shirts and when they arrived they were very bad quality and sizing was way off. Contacted the company and they offered a 15% refund, and after disputing this they offered 20%. I am now going to contact ACCC. Show details
I ordered some pants which arrived far too small compared to what was advertised. They seem to be refusing a refund or exchange and I’m stuck in a frustrating discussion where they are offering a 15% refund… absolutely hopeless. Show details
Don’t purchase – I tried to return a very poor quality clothing item. They made me send the package to China for $35. Then when the address they gave me didn’t work it came back to me and now they are refusing to refund me. Disappointing at best. I would highly recommend to not buy from this company. Show details
VERY poor quality clothing from China – VERY poor quality clothing from China. 30 day money back guarantee is if you pay return shipping to China which is very expensive. Didnt trust that I would even get a refund if I sent it so decided I couldnt justify the cost. They agreed to give me a 50% refund and then stopped returning my emails. Show details
Conned – Order a shirt thinking was a Melbourne shop. Still waiting for it to arrive. Emailed the company nothing. Stay well clear it’s a front for a place in china
Scammers – Beware they are misleading and pretending to be a company in Australia but are from China. The quality of products is extremely poor and even if you pay shipping costs to refund a product, they do not collect the item so you waste more money. It is a scam and I will be reporting this company to consumer protection. Show details
Do NOT order from these thieves – Ordered linen pants nearly 4 weeks ago noting this business indicates up to 10 days for shipping . Regrettably I didn’t read the reviews prior to placing the order . Please save your self the headache and do not deal with these thieves.
Got Scammed :( – Update: I lodged a dispute with PayPal, they investigated & ruled in my favour. I was refunded my purchase. Very very grateful to PayPal. My experience is EXACTLY the same as everyone else's.....my biggest regret is not checking the reviews here first. My item was overpriced (for the quality - I'm certain their pictures on the website are not… Read more
genuine and even rip offs from other labels), wayyyyy too small, and the return process has dragged on. DO NOT ENGAGE! And they are definitely NOT from Melbourne.
Got no refund for my return, incurred additional expensive overseas return postage, they don’t provide return label – Bought a jacket, but the size does not fit, because they’re not Aussie sizes (their website did not state that). I returned it the next day, they didn’t provide return label and asked me to cover the postage cost first, promised to reimburse me after. So I had to paid $50 to send it back to China (yes their name says Melbourne but good were sent… Read more
from China and you have to pay for overseas shipping if you need to return). Anyway I did not hear from after I gave them the tracking number, about 5 weeks later I got a text from Aust Post saying my return parcel arrived in China waiting for Custom’s clearance, I then emailed Armoire, no response, I raised a dispute, this time someone replied saying they can’t get any info off the tracking number, I contact Aust Post, was told that Armoire in China need to contact Custom to get the parcel released, so I emails them again, and again no response, I’ve had enough, and therefore decide to write this review. Not only did I lose money for the price of the jacket, but the expensive overseas shipping cost as well.
The worst online shop I’ve come across.
